Vasana Sith: Best chopped scallop roll and salmon/fatty salmon nigiri I’ve had in a long time. Melt in your mouth and very hearty pieces. This is going to become my new go-to sushi place. Go support this local mom and pop shop.
Linh Nguyen: I work in the area so I’ve been coming here for years on my lunches. I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this gem yet. I’ve been to many and this makes one of my favorite sushi places in the city. The rolls are decent sized and I find the ratio of rice to fish and other fillings very satisfying. The sashimi is fresh, quality is always good! It’s unfortunate that some reviews haven’t had the same experience but I haven’t had any problems here.

Myss Lyss: I am in Honba sushi heaven. I don't know how you guys do it time and time again? The rainbow roll is the most amazing thing on the planet! The salmon and tuna draped over the top are so fresh and soft and buttery it melts in your mouth!! The avocado is always the perfect texture. The rolls are exquisitely made. Nothing ever falls apart. I also order the dragon roll which is delicious and perfectly made each time. The miso soup was hot on delivery and it is delicious. Let me also say that the ginger is always SO fresh!! Fresher than anywhere I have ever ordered sushi. I have probably ordered a year now and this is the most consistent sushi restaurant for highest quality super rolls. But they are pricey, so I can only occasionally splurge on it. If I could eat here everyday I would!But what are those little candies in the delivery? Sinhyuk Oh: The owner have just changed a week ago and the place is nothing but a surprise. The quality and the quantity you get out of this store is amazing, with the money you are paying. The chef has 10 years experience and the quality is guaranteed! because of this, there are almost no waiting time. Store is also very clean and great for some quite and quality times. I strongly recommend this place for anyone who's out there looking at this!

Nikki B: Blufish is one of the best sushi restaurants in Winnipeg, when you compare what you get for the price and what you get at other places. I love this place. There's a reason it's been around for so long. The cocktails are delicious and well priced. Try the specials they are fantastic. The fish is so fresh and amazing, we had a great dinner like always. Followed by a lovely walk in the Exchange District.

Nice atmosphere if you're not so outgoing but want a trendy meal spot with top quality fresh fish and seafood and some original specialty menu items you wont find at the average sushi restaurant.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian rolls, edamame beans, agedashe tofu, wakame salad and tempura are all good options
Wilson Hendrawan: Good food, good ambiance. I like the White truffle tuna carpaccio. Definitely a unique menu item that you don't find anywhere else.
Geoffrey Snider: Been here many times before plays and sometimes make the long journey just for the great sushi. Find the visited once and feel expert enough to review pretty odd. Blufish scallops, Spicy Ben, are favourites. I have eaten at most of the Sushi restaurants in Winnipeg over the years and this is the most tasty.

rcarloto: This has been our go-to sushi throughout the pandemic, and we've always recommended it to friends and family ever since, gaining them new regular customers! We love the size and fillings of their rolls, and we've always gotten their platters. However, we found that they recently changed them; they've created set platters instead of customers being able to customize them from a great selection - which was a huge draw in for us as well as others. This was quite a saddening change to discover! Hope you guys would consider changing that back!

Miss Uhh Liss: . They actually give you very generously rationed rolls. My boyfriend said the chicken roll tasted like a whole chicken wing was in one piece. The salmon sashimi was some of the best I’ve had in the city. We will definitely be ordering again!

L. Lau: Excellent sushi and non sushi items alike. Often times out of things like uni.Spicy mango prawns are a must. Salmon carpaccio is a crowd favorite, even for those individuals who usually shy away from sashimi.The maholo roll has a fresh feel to it from the mango and sweet minty drizzle.Ice cream and desserts are a bit generic. Would recommend dessert elsewhere.

I can't say many bad things about it - still probably the best sushi in Winnipeg - but the quality does seem to have gone generally down over the years..They've also removed some of the best items from the menu, like the sushi pizza and the prairie fire roll..It's also *very* expensive. If it wasn't for the nostalgia factor I'd probably rate lower - but yeah, still a great place worth visiting.

We checked online to see which one had the best reviews & saw Yujiro, we took chances because we did not have reservation but it was early so we had better chance. We got in, small restaurant outside downtown but it was clean, friendly staff. Everything we order in the menu was super good very very fresh. I think the best sushi & Japanese restaurant in Winnipeg, we would go back for sure.

I couldnt really find anything that needs major improvements.So here are a few suggestions:- The way sashimi is cut and presented could use some work. We had uneaven cuts and end peices that were falling appart.- Ordering is abit old school, hopefully they upgrade to a digital ordering.- Personally I wished they served appetizer type dishes together I had some appatizers arrive late at the end of the meal.

Dwaine Gauthier: We have been looking for PROPER sushi since Meiiji closed down. Tried many. Couple came close but dropper the ball all over the court. Who opens at 11am and closes at 7pm. Wont deliver and cant dine in. Anyway Wakoya blows everyone outta the park. Everything was fresh melt in your mouth. Tightly rolled with zero falling apart. Sam Sam: It's a nice restaurant, clean, well set up. It was a full restaurant, and they probably could have used at least one more server. They were very quick to bring out the first round of dishes for all you can eat foods. But they were fairly slow on the follow-up orders. Some dishes were just not the greatest quality for what you would expect. Some things that should be served cold were actually warm 😞. We had to ask to have our stove top to be changed as it was just too dirty for the food to cook on anymore.The menu for all you can eat is huge, like amazing and so many good choices. It was not quite up to the BC standards that I am used to, but it was good.
