Winnipeg Homestay: what do users think?

Emmanuel Okwunwa: I enjoyed my stay at this homestay. It was in a good neighbourhood, quiet, safe, and mostly clean. The owner is committed to continuously improving the rooms and other parts of the house, though these are already acceptable. The best part was the service. There was a true sense of welcome and the hostess was very genuinely hospitable and helpful. That was very important to me, and made me feel at home. I stayed there for three nights.I have already booked to stay there again on my next trip through Winnipeg in the last week of September, and upon my return trip sometime in October. I am confident that the owner will make this homestay ever more comfortable and provide an increasingly more satisfying experience for guests. I would recommend it, even if the price were a bit higher.

Jash Wah: Quiet and safe area.

Thomas Demkiw (Dizaster83): Needs a shower downstairs but overall the room was as advertised and the landlady was courteous and friendly.

Tq Zhai: Comfortable and clean bedding. Quiet place for a night sleep.

Ali: it makes it barely noticeable!I loved the comfortability and how quiet the neighborhood was. If I am ever in Winnipeg again, I will 1000% return!

Prabh Jaura: 200% recommend this place to come stay in Winnipeg. Its in really nice neighborhood. The host Cindy is amazing. We will definitely come back and stay here. You will feelLike a home.

ARON ROSH: After a long drive we had a nice cozy and quiet sleep. Hospitality was great.Gonna be the de spot whenever we travel through Winnipeg .Thank you for the service.

Уляна Дядюк: Our stay at Val's Airbnb was absolutely amazing. We cannot thank her enough for being such a warm and welcoming host. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. She provided us with breakfast supplies in the fridge every morning, which was such a thoughtful touch. The whole house was spotlessly clean and comfortable, which made for a truly enjoyable stay. One of the highlights of our trip was trying Val's own brand of wine. It was fantastic, and the perfect complement to the cozy hot tub during cold evenings.Overall, we cannot recommend Val's Airbnb enough. She truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was very comfortable. Thank you, Val, for such a wonderful experience!

James Cowan: I had the pleasure of staying at an Airbnb hosted by the amazing Val, and I can't praise her enough for making my two-week stay comfortable and enjoyable. Val's hospitality was exceptional and she went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met.As soon as I arrived, Val welcomed me with warmth and kindness. She generously upgraded my room to a more luxurious one, which was a delightful surprise. The room was impeccably clean and decorated with thoughtful touches that made me feel right at home.Throughout my stay, Val regularly checked in with me to ensure that everything was going well and provided helpful recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. She was always available to answer any questions and made sure that my stay was as pleasant as possible. What really impressed me was Val's nurturing, kind, and compassionate nature. She truly cared about my well-being and made sure that I felt comfortable and supported during my stay. Whether it was providing me with extra blankets or simply lending a listening ear, Val's genuine care and concern were truly touching.I would highly recommend Val's Airbnb to anyone looking for a welcoming and hospitable place to stay. Her kindness and generosity made my stay an unforgettable experience, and I feel truly grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know her. Thank you, Val, for being an amazing host and making my stay so memorable!

Xaarpus: Couldnt stay

Cynthia M: husband and I stayed here for our wedding night that just passed, and it was such a marvelous experience. The room was large and cozy -- quiet but homey, as was the home in general. Breakfast was simple, but still quite nice, and I appreciated all the hot drinks available and the large campfire type mugs! Most of all, I appreciated all the accomodations made for me during my stay. I was accomodated with early check-in which enabled me to get ready for my wedding in my room. I was even offered snacks and wine while getting ready, which I thought was a kind

Erika Cordes: I loved my September stay here. Val and her family are so warm and welcoming. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, and the backyard and terrace are beautiful - like being at your own cottage. I also really enjoyed meeting the other guests in the shared areas - they were all lovely and considerate people. This is not a hotel, but rather a true b&b experience. Thank you!

The Fort Garry Hotel, Spa and Conference Centre: what do users think?

Robert Huskey: We stayed for 3 nights in mid-August while traveling in Canada. The location is great for getting around downtown Winnipeg. The hotel is very beautiful and the rooms are large and comfortable.I have to say that there were at least 4 weddings in the 3 nights that were there, so very popular.I would point out that teh Concierge was AWESOME. Jeannie Cole was on point and very helpful numerous times during our stay. Kudos to her.

David P: I love this place. I've come here for weddings, dinners, etc. It's always been a great experience. The hotel lobby is beautiful. Staff have always been helpful, kind, professional, etc. And somewhat random, the elevators move super fast from floor to floor!Walkability: So close to the Forks and downtown!

Christina Chan: .The hallways are literally wide enough for a horse and carriage to go through....no kidding! And the beds - 10/10. A nice quiet sleep in a comfy bed that's not too soft, not too hardWalkability: Great location within walking distance to many restaurants and attractions.

Dee and Bob Fenton: This was a superb experience from the ambience, the excellent service and the wonderful food. The wedding dinner was excellent and accommodated all appetites. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was excellent. Both made you want to stay in them forever! Staff were always helpful and friendly. Our room was quiet and very comfortable.Walkability: It was close to several attractions and excellent restaurants .Food & drinks: Any of the meals we had were superb. The dinner served at the wedding reception was outstanding.

Hanna Harrison: Gorgeous wedding venueHotel highlights Romantic …

Natalie C.: It’s a historical marvel! Large size stately rooms with 10 foot ceilings and chandeliers and double heavy curtains for those preferring to sleep with no light. Our corner room 128 consisted of two rooms, one with king size bed, a desk and a lovely sofa, plus a full living room and dining room, lovely white bathroom, with new soft towels, pillows and warm blanket selection, temperature control, It was not only comfortable but it was a treat to stay here. It’s a historic building with many statues and portraits. We had a lovely view from both sides as 128 is a corner suite. There is a restaurant. On weekends they also serve branch. It’s a lovely experience to have stayed here.

Angela Liles: Just excellent! Food was amazing and service second to none!Rooms: Beautiful rooms with ornate features and bed was so comfortable. Decor just gorgeous.Safety: Hotel was superb with good clientele which made you feel safe together with the presence of staff.Walkability: Close to all amenitiesFood & drinks: Delicious. Charcuterie board was delicious Muscles were superb and cooked to perfection. Crème brûlée absolutely spot on.

Chrystal Brause: Food & drinks: The restaurant right behind the mere hotel has excellent food and drinks.Noteworthy details: And it's awesome that they have a Mini gym. Try it out, loved it.

David Gatchalian: Nice clean and large rooms. Located right by the Exchange which has good restaurants and bars with one located right at the back on the water. We enjoyed the waterside view and evenings were safe and quiet away from the downtown core.Walkability: Close to good bars and restos.

Dylan Martens: Very nice hotel. Have stayed here twice, both times in a king bed room. I would give 5 stars, but the paid parking is a bit dumb. You have to pay $22 + tax for a non guaranteed space next to the hotel when there is public parking on the streets all around the hotel. If you don't mind a short walk you can park on the street for $2/hr until 530pm on weekdays.Nearby activities: The Forks Market is only a 2 minute drive away, or about a 10 to 15 minute walk.

Danny Smith: I went to the restaurant that overlooks the river .The food was exceptional..Pickerel,calamari,double burger and hand cut fries..And a few cocktails..Our waiter was fun..had a great personality...Food & drinks: Sat on the outside patio.... exceptional value in food and drinks..Great service..our waiter was amazing..

Brittany Livingstone: This hotel is gorgeous and Brian N. at the front desk is so helpful. Thank you Brian!

Everett Dueck: But the water was $4.75/ bottle!!! 😅 we ended up buying one because I don't trust the tap water in a hotel. It just seems a bit pricey. Maybe offer free water along with the complimentary free coffee?! Just the one thing I noticed, but not bad enough to ruin our stay.

Chrislove: A really beautiful space to rest and relax

Jade: Well this place is interesting. Not much to offer as other hotels it seems, but they do have nice rooms. A lil on the smaller side, but large enough. The bathroom tho! Be prepared as it has a large floor to ceiling window looking into the room, which does have a blind but still makes you feel on display... Didn't bother me, but I know some are praticular with their bathroom habits & some may be uncomfortable due to it. They're also very echo-y... so if you're taking a loud #2, expect your roomie to hear lol... heads up there are bathrooms near the lobby... bet its for that reason lol

Jagdeep Singh: Neat and clean

Lubna U: . Even something simple wkth muffins, coffee, yogurt, cereal and fruit would be nice. They have a vending machine but its not stocked with items that are sustainable.Shopper's Drug Mart is across the street, so you can have some food options from there...or the many restaurants in the area, including the Korean BBQ attached to the hotel. Its a walk-up, so if you need the mainfloor, I'd call ahead. We were asked if the second floor was okay, we agreed. They want to ensure that they have main floor suites for folks who need them.Parking: free and ample

Shayane Petrorossi: The room was surprisingly quiet, even though the train track was only a few meter away from it.Very good for the price! Super recommend.

Kamran Qureshi: Excellent overall 👌. Clean room. Quite. Friendly support. Yes, i could recommend it.Nearby activities: Close to all amenities.

Sherif: The roo.s are good and clean.. breakfast need had no many varieties. But overall it was a good experience

Dan me: I just got a call from queen bee regarding my luggage, last time we stayed there we did a lot of shopping, a few boxes of goods and couldn't leave them in our vehicle because back in December there were 3 vehicle break in including our vehicle was damaged.Limited to 2 pieces luggage allowed per room is what I was told, so I had to cancel my reservation. Shopping out of question if staying there. Giving heads up on allowable pieces of luggage.

Jean P: The staff here are amazing and were so kind to my husband and I who had to fly into Winnipeg very last minute. The hotel and rooms are immaculately clean and the bed was super comfortable. It is a bit far from the downtown Winnipeg area but the hotel has a bus stop right infront of it and it felt to be in a safe area and was a great price. If we ever have to or just get the chance for fun to come back to Winnipeg, we will be trying to stay here again!Thank you so much April for your help and kindness when we booked and to the rest of the staff.

Murray Kull: and the building was very quiet. The bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and overall it was a good place to stay, excellent value for what we paid. There is a restaurant next door and lots of retail services nearby. We would definitely stay there again and also recommend it to others.

Jo-ann Zwarych: Food was very good!!! Service good!!

NN Mo: The location was very good! Close to the park and airport. Also, close to polo park mall. But service could improve a little. Price is good! 1/2 price some other hotel around. Bar lounge, beer store, vlt, and restaurant all in the hotel. Very convenient.Rooms: Price is always good. Stay a few times now. No problems.Nearby activities: Polo park mall, airport, Assiniboine park cross street.

Saymy Name: a reminder when you're booking would be nice. I always expect a deposit but everywhere runs them between $200-$350 depending so I would like to know ahead of time to keep my finances on trip in order. Otherwise, decent hotel for what I needed. The bar does get loud so maybe pick a different hotel for weekends.Rooms: Rooms are old but again, you get what you pay for

Nikkiann Doran (nikkiann): We were there sept 1st we went to have a few drinks and play pool my kids and I. While we were at the pool table some patron was trying to hook up to the Bluetooth on the TV n the name that showed was get a job u squaw..was really passed off as we were the only natives in there. The security man working was amazing as he came n tried to figure out who did it n since he couldn't he just turned the TV off. Was really upset that we were trying to enjoy our night but some idiot ruined it. We will go back as it was not the bars fault ...

Inn at the Forks: what do users think?

Patricia: Rooms: The rooms are what anyone would look for in a hotel, clean, comfortable, organized with everything you need to rest.Nearby activities: I had an excellent view of the museum, which is a walking distance from the hotel. Loved room 519 for this.

Ramona Yun: Had a great stay at the Inn at the Forks. Staff were all helpful and patient from time of reservation to check out. We booked a pet friendly room with two queen beds, and it was clean, comfortable, and in great shape. I slept really well. The Inn is located in a very good scenic location in the city. The room rate seems affordable for where we were and what we got. Parking did cost $20. We felt this was ok considering the location at the Forks. No issues with finding a parking spot even though the area was busy around dinnertime. The Forks Market, Children's Museum, Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the park and rivers are all within a few minutes walk. Kept us busy during our stay!Rooms: Beds were comfortable. More than enough clean linens for our group. Lots of built-in closet and drawer storage. Desk is a built-in counter. Large sized mirrors both in the room and in the bathroom. Stocked snacks and beverages in the mini fridge if you like those things. Spacious bathroom though floors were a little slippery. Bathroom amenities appear to the same products offered in the spa.Nearby activities: Easy walkable access to the Forks Market, the Children's Museum, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the Manitoba Theatre for Young People, the Travel Manitoba Visitor Information Centre, and the Forks National Historic Site park. There is also a skatepark, playground with play equipment, ping pong tables, soccer pitch, and outdoor basketball court close by.Safety: Walked around the park at 10pm on a summer Tuesday night and felt safe in the area. Lights can be a little dim in some areas, but there seemed to be lots of people around.Walkability: Only a few minutes walk to many attractions in the Forks area.Food & drinks: There is a restaurant at the lobby level of the hotel. The Old Spaghetti Factory is across the street. Highly recommend going to the Forks Market for food, where there are a lot of local food options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Indoor and outdoor bar open to the commons and a picturesque outdoor patio looking down to the water.

Sarah Dagar: also ordered the same to support local product were disappointed 😞 😔

Zach W (Awesome Cheese): The location was on busy road which you don’t hear if you’re facing it. If you are facing rail tracks you do hears trains every so often. Bismark Nava (FLAKO): You know I found winter clothes, good quality at very good price.

Heather MacNeill: Just a beautiful B&B! Wonderful and friendly operator's! Won't hesitate to go back next time we're in Winnipeg.

Fred Coad: Amazing heritage building. So beautiful with so much character! Quiet oasis in the backyard. Excellent hosts too! Highly recommended!

Carlos Meta: The Columns is not an ordinary place, I will call it a"boutique hotel". Excellent and certainly sophisticated.

Daniel Dacombe: We have stayed at The Columns multiple times over the last few years. Every stay has been absolutely wonderful. The rooms are always clean and well maintained despite the age of the house, the amenities are excellent, and the overall ambiance of the old house is rich and inviting. The breakfasts are top-notch quality every time - my wife works for a gourmet food store so our standards are pretty high, and we have never been disappointed. Visiting with the owners is always enjoyable as well. Every stay has been memorable, and we can't wait to come again.

Michael Lewchuk: It was nice...good good and nice staff.... Felt like a king and slept like a baby.

Sidney Shapira: Visited on a Walking Tour. Visually amazing. Would love to stay there or recommend to friends and family.

Michael Bishara: Wonderful bed and breakfast with even lovelier hosts! Great place to feel welcome, feel cozy, as if you're at home away from home. The estate is beautiful with a big backyard facing the river. Morning breakfast is delicious and very filling too! Within walking distance to many restaurants too. If you like morning hikes, there's a trail by the backyard. Would definitely come back!

ehbuller: had its own small balcony where we could relax. The price is similar to a downtown hotel but the atmosphere is much more relaxing. Our room did not ventilate well so it was stuffy in the heat. The only thing stopping it from a full 5 stars.I highly recommend The Columns whenever you are in Winnipeg.

刘熙南Xinan Liu: Located in the city center, the location is very good! The parking lot lacks effective guidance and marking, which is not very convenient.

Bonnie Fletcher: I have loved every time that I have gotten to stay on Fairmont Gold in Winnipeg. Not only is the hotel filled with bright smiles the minute you walk in the door, you are continuously made to feel welcome and comfortable even when far from home. I travelled to Winnipeg to see my great-grandchildren and everyone on the team was a joy, making this special time even more memorable. Teddy, the doorman, greeted me each morning and I soon found out that he has been at the property for over forty years! Despite the hundreds of faces he comes across, he remembers my face and my name every time I stay. Sarah, Aarsh, and Zulal are also the sweetest! Throughout my stay, I got to spend time with each of them on the Gold floor and their hospitality truly brings the “gold” to the hotel.

Michelle F: We had an amazing experience at the Fairmont! We brought our 4 month old puppy and every single staff member treated him amazingly as well. We will be coming back over and over!Noteworthy details: Update: August 2023. We had the most amazing experience at The Fairmont Winnipeg! The level of service we received was top notch. The Fairmont Gold Team are all outstanding. We need to give a special shout out to Aarsh, Lauren and Zulal. From the second we walked in, we all felt special. They knew we were celebrating my husband's birthday, so they provided a delicious slice of cake and toasted us with champagne! Even more incredibly we brought our dog Alfie with us to attend a Winnipeg Goldeyes game, and they made him his own jersey and also gave him treats!!! This level of service was above and beyond our wildest expectations. Because of this, we will be coming back to the Fairmont every time we stay in Winnipeg.

D W Thompson: The Fairmont in Winnipeg was lovely. The bed was comfortable, the staff was amazing and nice. Perfect location downtown. You can walk from there to the famous Forks nearby. Free WFI, complimentary water and just a great atmosphere. Lovely view. Taxis are just outside the doors nearby. If I return to Winnipeg I will definitely stay here.Rooms: Very clean and fresh.Nearby activities: Fun activities can be accessed by a one or two stops on the busWalkability: Close to restaurants in area. Close to convenience stores, but these stores close at 6 pm. Has an underground tunnel with a shopping center from the hotel which was very convenient. You do not need to walk out on the road. I loved that.

Elizabeth Butler: Amazing place to stay, very clean , absolutely wonderful staff.Nearby activities: Right in the middle of all funWalkability: Easily able to walk everywhereFood & drinks: Absolutely amazing food
