Canad Inns Destination Centre Fort Garry: what do users think?

Sushie Singh: Service in this restaurant is extremely slow. The food is tasty overall. Something for everyone including children.Walkability: Lots of business and other small restaurants nearby.Food & drinks: Many options for food and drinks in and out of this hotel.

Christopher Townsend: Fantastic Hotel with lovely rooms, friendly staff and a great location for activities and shopping.Close to the Investor's group field, BDI drive in and loads of restaurants. The cherry on the cake is celebrations attached, a great way to kick off your stay in Winnipeg.

Mere Hotel: what do users think?

Chrystal Brause: Food & drinks: The restaurant right behind the mere hotel has excellent food and drinks.Noteworthy details: And it's awesome that they have a Mini gym. Try it out, loved it.

David Gatchalian: Nice clean and large rooms. Located right by the Exchange which has good restaurants and bars with one located right at the back on the water. We enjoyed the waterside view and evenings were safe and quiet away from the downtown core.Walkability: Close to good bars and restos.

Dylan Martens: Very nice hotel. Have stayed here twice, both times in a king bed room. I would give 5 stars, but the paid parking is a bit dumb. You have to pay $22 + tax for a non guaranteed space next to the hotel when there is public parking on the streets all around the hotel. If you don't mind a short walk you can park on the street for $2/hr until 530pm on weekdays.Nearby activities: The Forks Market is only a 2 minute drive away, or about a 10 to 15 minute walk.

Danny Smith: I went to the restaurant that overlooks the river .The food was exceptional..Pickerel,calamari,double burger and hand cut fries..And a few cocktails..Our waiter was fun..had a great personality...Food & drinks: Sat on the outside patio.... exceptional value in food and drinks..Great service..our waiter was amazing..

Brittany Livingstone: This hotel is gorgeous and Brian N. at the front desk is so helpful. Thank you Brian!

Everett Dueck: But the water was $4.75/ bottle!!! 😅 we ended up buying one because I don't trust the tap water in a hotel. It just seems a bit pricey. Maybe offer free water along with the complimentary free coffee?! Just the one thing I noticed, but not bad enough to ruin our stay.

Chrislove: A really beautiful space to rest and relax

Jade: Well this place is interesting. Not much to offer as other hotels it seems, but they do have nice rooms. A lil on the smaller side, but large enough. The bathroom tho! Be prepared as it has a large floor to ceiling window looking into the room, which does have a blind but still makes you feel on display... Didn't bother me, but I know some are praticular with their bathroom habits & some may be uncomfortable due to it. They're also very echo-y... so if you're taking a loud #2, expect your roomie to hear lol... heads up there are bathrooms near the lobby... bet its for that reason lol

Jagdeep Singh: Neat and clean

Bring a splitter if you need to charge more than your phone.Food & drinks: Both a sports bar and a restaurant onsite plus 24-7 food available in the airport next door

Christian Yuan: The breakfast is refreshing and simple. Service process, professional!

Hotel Fairmont Winnipeg: what do users think?

Ryan “Forty”: Great staff so nice helpful Awsome rooms felt welcomed fam never got to try that burger! My stay amazingRooms: CleanNearby activities: Jets arena, mall , the forks

Antera Naykalyk: Excellent service, great location to be in walking distance of cafes, The Forks and Museums....Walkability: Easily travel by foot to The Forks, Museum of Human Rights, St. Boniface Museum, Modern Electric Lunch, Clementines, Historic Via Rail Station, Chinatown, and more!

刘熙南Xinan Liu: Located in the city center, the location is very good! The parking lot lacks effective guidance and marking, which is not very convenient.

Bonnie Fletcher: I have loved every time that I have gotten to stay on Fairmont Gold in Winnipeg. Not only is the hotel filled with bright smiles the minute you walk in the door, you are continuously made to feel welcome and comfortable even when far from home. I travelled to Winnipeg to see my great-grandchildren and everyone on the team was a joy, making this special time even more memorable. Teddy, the doorman, greeted me each morning and I soon found out that he has been at the property for over forty years! Despite the hundreds of faces he comes across, he remembers my face and my name every time I stay. Sarah, Aarsh, and Zulal are also the sweetest! Throughout my stay, I got to spend time with each of them on the Gold floor and their hospitality truly brings the “gold” to the hotel.

Michelle F: We had an amazing experience at the Fairmont! We brought our 4 month old puppy and every single staff member treated him amazingly as well. We will be coming back over and over!Noteworthy details: Update: August 2023. We had the most amazing experience at The Fairmont Winnipeg! The level of service we received was top notch. The Fairmont Gold Team are all outstanding. We need to give a special shout out to Aarsh, Lauren and Zulal. From the second we walked in, we all felt special. They knew we were celebrating my husband's birthday, so they provided a delicious slice of cake and toasted us with champagne! Even more incredibly we brought our dog Alfie with us to attend a Winnipeg Goldeyes game, and they made him his own jersey and also gave him treats!!! This level of service was above and beyond our wildest expectations. Because of this, we will be coming back to the Fairmont every time we stay in Winnipeg.

D W Thompson: The Fairmont in Winnipeg was lovely. The bed was comfortable, the staff was amazing and nice. Perfect location downtown. You can walk from there to the famous Forks nearby. Free WFI, complimentary water and just a great atmosphere. Lovely view. Taxis are just outside the doors nearby. If I return to Winnipeg I will definitely stay here.Rooms: Very clean and fresh.Nearby activities: Fun activities can be accessed by a one or two stops on the busWalkability: Close to restaurants in area. Close to convenience stores, but these stores close at 6 pm. Has an underground tunnel with a shopping center from the hotel which was very convenient. You do not need to walk out on the road. I loved that.

Elizabeth Butler: Amazing place to stay, very clean , absolutely wonderful staff.Nearby activities: Right in the middle of all funWalkability: Easily able to walk everywhereFood & drinks: Absolutely amazing food

Inn at the Forks: what do users think?

Patricia: Rooms: The rooms are what anyone would look for in a hotel, clean, comfortable, organized with everything you need to rest.Nearby activities: I had an excellent view of the museum, which is a walking distance from the hotel. Loved room 519 for this.

Ramona Yun: Had a great stay at the Inn at the Forks. Staff were all helpful and patient from time of reservation to check out. We booked a pet friendly room with two queen beds, and it was clean, comfortable, and in great shape. I slept really well. The Inn is located in a very good scenic location in the city. The room rate seems affordable for where we were and what we got. Parking did cost $20. We felt this was ok considering the location at the Forks. No issues with finding a parking spot even though the area was busy around dinnertime. The Forks Market, Children's Museum, Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the park and rivers are all within a few minutes walk. Kept us busy during our stay!Rooms: Beds were comfortable. More than enough clean linens for our group. Lots of built-in closet and drawer storage. Desk is a built-in counter. Large sized mirrors both in the room and in the bathroom. Stocked snacks and beverages in the mini fridge if you like those things. Spacious bathroom though floors were a little slippery. Bathroom amenities appear to the same products offered in the spa.Nearby activities: Easy walkable access to the Forks Market, the Children's Museum, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the Manitoba Theatre for Young People, the Travel Manitoba Visitor Information Centre, and the Forks National Historic Site park. There is also a skatepark, playground with play equipment, ping pong tables, soccer pitch, and outdoor basketball court close by.Safety: Walked around the park at 10pm on a summer Tuesday night and felt safe in the area. Lights can be a little dim in some areas, but there seemed to be lots of people around.Walkability: Only a few minutes walk to many attractions in the Forks area.Food & drinks: There is a restaurant at the lobby level of the hotel. The Old Spaghetti Factory is across the street. Highly recommend going to the Forks Market for food, where there are a lot of local food options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Indoor and outdoor bar open to the commons and a picturesque outdoor patio looking down to the water.

Sarah Dagar: also ordered the same to support local product were disappointed 😞 😔

Alt Hotel Winnipeg: what do users think?

John Mbae: Nice rooms and great view

Roman romalfa: Modern room, comfortable, good view of the city, especially if on the top floor. Large windows to the full height of the room! All amenities. Only one minus is that after 7 pm on the city street it is very dangerous!Safety: All right with security! You go inside the hotel and scan the key card, the elevator will not move without a scan of the card, the same thing goes to the room!

Elizabeth Werszko: Very modern, great location and wonderful staff. The best Alt location I've stayed at.Walkability: 10 minute walk to downtown, 2 minutes to the river, many restaurant options nearby.

cityalien: . My only complaint is that there does not seem to be any kind of room service during your stay if you don't ask for it directly, but the room appeared in great condition when I moved in. I kept it pretty neat but there was no room service for my 3-night stay. Oh well...Noteworthy details: For the room I got and the price I paid for June, it's fantastic.

Mariaggi's Theme Suite Hotel and Spa: what do users think?

Erica Ring: Myself and husband stayed in the Hawaii room 2 years ago for his birthday and loved it and had to go back. We just spent 2 nights in the Egypt room for our 10 year anniversary and it was beautiful. We loved the room and the staff are always friendly and helpful. You literally feel like you are on vacation. Located in the heart of downtown you are in walking distance to restaurants , bars and small shops. We cannot wait for our next visit!

Sandi Altner: My husband and I recently had a wonderful stay at Marriagi’s with first class service and an unforgettable room—Jakarta. It had a pool table, a bar, pinball machines, a dart board, loads of lounge chairs, and a fireplace. All of this for the two of us in a lushly decorated room with a private balcony. This room, Manager Amanda, explained was regularly booked for special events, weddings, birthdays, corporate events, retirement parties and anything where you need a special environment to host up to 50 or 60 people. What a great place for a party!Mariaggi’s is hard to beat for location in the heart of the Exchange District. This historic district is my favourite walking neighborhood in Winnipeg and is close to many restaurants. We ate at Baily’s, a five minute walk from the hotel. It's still as beautiful as it ever was, and the food and service was first rate.I love the history of Mariaggi’s Hotel. It first opened in 1903, fulfilling the vision of Frank Mariaggi who created a lavish property with elegant dining rooms to attract the the rich and powerful who often mingled with the reporters who stopped in from nearby Newspaper Row.All of this makes Mariaggi’s a great pick in summer for those who come to Winnipeg to enjoy the many festivals and the history and night life in Winnipeg’s Exchange district. It’s also an ideal getaway for local residents looking for a special treat in the dead of winter. Who wouldn’t love to soak away the bone-chilling blast of a north wind in a sudsy hot tub with a glass of wine in hand?I highly recommend Mariaggi’s. The only issue some might have is a restriction imposed by Mariaggi’s status as an historic building. There is no elevator. But protecting history comes first, as it should.

Reborn Unicorn: The hotel it’s self is old and desperately need updating to the interior lobby and rooms. However it is clean and welcoming and not part of a larger chain of hotels so you get very customized and personal service. You need something unique or specific to your situation, the staff are discreet and very knowledgeable about the area and willing to accommodate most reasonable requests. Prices are average. Not cheap not hugely expensive.Rooms: Hotel is old and dated but clean and the rooms could be updated but still I give it the rooms a B+Nearby activities: Lots to do during the day like exploring the exchange or downtown. Lots of little cafes and restaurant from gourmet espressos to bubble tea. There is something for everyone. Try the poutine tie around the corner. it’s awesome. On the other hand stay in the hotel at night. It’s part of Winnipeg’s deadly downtown core and can be dangerous so be alert. There is nothing to do in the exchAnge at night besides hit up one of the dive bars nearby to play vlts at your own risk to health and safety. CSafety: Hotel is downtown/exchange district and Winnipegs Downtown is not a safe place if you don’t know it. There is no parking other than metered street and some rather far away lots so be careful when coming and going. DWalkability: The exchange district during the day is a bustling and lively place with lots of little independent shops and stores from a little Salvation Army Thrift store to a little high end brand name shop that sells all kinds of goods including $200 baseballs caps and $250 t-shirts that is directly across from the entrance of the hotel. All this is within a couple blocks.Food & drinks: No food and drink on site that I was aware of anyway. You’ll need to go out or order skip the dishes or Uber Eats or some other food delivery service. But most are quick. Just be sure to let the front desk know that you’re expecting delivery and they will bring it when it comes. BNoteworthy details: All rooms are themed and it’s a great place for couples to get romantic. Staff are friendly and very helpful. A+

Ryan Johnston: This was a wonderful experience for us. There were a few issues with a couple of rooms,, Some no fault of theirs.but Amanda took care of us, upgrading us to spectacular rooms. She took the time and effort to personally walk us through many rooms just to show us. This was a nice touch....Thanks, Amanda. We definitely will be back.... And thanks to Loewen... Great guy and very helpful.Pretty special place! Highly recommend 👌 👍 👏 🙌

Troy Waldron: This place was everything we could have hoped for and more! It felt like we were in Cuba as soon as we stepped into our room. The service was good, the rooms were very clean, and it's located in a fun area with lots to do...in case you decide to leave the room that is. All in all it was a great experience and we will be definitely trying out another room or two. Thanks again Mariaggis for the mini vacation!

k s: , and were helpful if we needed anything. Overall it was a neat first experience for a themed hotel, and can’t wait to book again!

Tracey Brandt: It was a delicious 3 course meal Italian feast and was delicious!I didn't want the night to end. This is absolutley a hidden gem in the exchange district.I took my husband back today to show him the hotel and once again Amanda

Angela O'Connell: Beautiful rooms, friendly staff and amazing atmosphere. Absolutely look forward to staying again.

jennifer paul: Great placeMarvelous for a real break from everyoneExcellent experienceMy son treated myself to Mother's Day 2023

Brooke D: My boyfriend and I went for his birthday. We booked the Hawaii room on the main floor. It’s a smaller, more affordable room in comparison to the other rooms. There are so many personal touches in the room that we appreciated. Fuzzy housecoats, candles, coffee and creamer in the fridge, shampoo and conditioner, and lotion. The decor had us in awe. It’s a beautiful room, but kinda small and no climate control. It was quite warm in the room, especially when we got the jacuzzi going. There was also some issues with the temperature of the water from the jacuzzi and shower. The hottest temperature was lukewarm. We went to the front desk for some help and the staff remedied our issues. They figured out the water temperature issue, and they showed us the switches for the fans in the room. They also brought us a stand up fan. After that, we were very comfy and enjoyed our time.Around 11pm, we noticed the guests above us were quite loud. Lots of loud thuds, what sounded like stomping. It was close to midnight when we went to the front desk to talk to someone. We then learned there was a party for someone turning 18, which we completely understood. What I really appreciated was how willing and eager they were to keep all of their guests happy. They gave us a massive upgrade to the Cuba room, free of charge. That way we weren’t directly under the other guests and they could continue having their fun.The Cuba room was gorgeous! Heated flooring, pool table, climate control, patio and very spacious. We were very comfortable and had a great sleep. There were some sirens at night, but it was a saturday night in the exchange. We weren’t surprised by that. They also gave us a 1pm check out, free of charge. We left the next day very happy with our stay. The staff really took care of us. Any issue we had, they went above and beyond. My recommendation for anyone looking to stay at Mariaggis is to book the bigger rooms. They’re much more comfortable and have more pizzazz. We’re already thinking about our next visit! Thanks for everything!

Vanessa: Room was beautiful with outside balcony, super cool sauna and jacuzzi and such! Spent all night running around the room, good sound system for stereo. Had the best stay for a night, not bad prices too!Rooms: Beautiful rooms with great service and many small attractions to keep you busy during your stay! Absolutely loved the jacuzzi and Bluetooth/LED light sauna.Walkability: Great history in and around the building, historical art and figures to look at as you walk through.Noteworthy details: Service is super friendly and have many different options and deals to provide. Beautiful stay, no complaints

Kelli Karlsen: The Mariaggi is the perfect place for a romantic staycation in Winnipeg. Each room is well thought out, beautifully designed. We felt like we were transported to a different world, lettings us forget about the cold Winnipeg Winter. The attention to detail and effort that they put into each room makes it a truly unique experience. The staff made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. They really made the experience memorable, we were well taken care of before we stepped foot in the hotel. We stayed in the China and Jakarta room during our stay. We enjoyed all the amenities the Mariaggi had to offer. From the jacuzzi, to the hot sauna, the steam showers and the balcony overlooking the historic exchange district of Winnipeg. Each room is well curated and perfect for a romantic staycation, you won’t want to leave the room!Thank you for such an amazing experience Lowell and team! We can’t wait to come back
