The Rec Room: what do users think?

Rama Alsbeaa: Very good 👍

Obinna Okeke: Fun place. Many games to choose from.

Angel PG: Fun place to go on a date or hang with friends. Service was friendly and knew the menu well. Appreciated answering some questions and gave recommendations on the food. Overall, the food was very good. Husband loved the fish tacos and I thoroughly enjoyed the Salmon bowl.Played some games afterward and found the staff in that area were kind and helpful. An enjoyable experience.

Florian Garcia: Awesome place for everyone. Bowling is super cool!

Laura Duchek: Thus was a fantastic experience for myself and my grandchildren

Sandi Neufeld: So many things to do. Fun, exciting friendly people. Something for all ages.

Liam Kazuk: Few game won't work when I use my wist band and really fun and I wish I could buy more point to play more game.

Nathan Wiebe: It a blast to go as a couple or a family. It's a little loud for younger kids. Decently priced. You can play for hours with $40 of credits.

Justin Gutka: Great place to visit with the family! Food was good, games were great with many options. Prices were on the high side but slightly expected with the size of the facility. The prize options could have been better as there were not many mid range options.

liwei xing: 👍🏻

Manitoba Legislative Assembly: what do users think?

Jimmy Lajoie-Boucher: A legislative assembly that is truly pleasing to the eye. A park to stroll around with sculptures, statues and other monuments to bear witness to history!

Helen ICE: It was a nice visit with a group of people. Especially we had a guide who explained many things about the legislative building, from the history to the system. Strongly recommend it.

K D H: Beautiful building and grounds for some wedding photos!

Amber Neufeld: Lovely building and the security is so nice and helpful. Maintinence does an amazing job of keeping it looking spotless.

Kyle Herkert: Super cool! Open to the public during the day and very very cool. If you ever get a chance you should take the guided tour and see all the crazy occult symbology.

Preservation Hall Eatery + Wine Bar: what do users think?

Brad Rich: Terrific burger week burger!Popped in at noon today and we were in a little bit of a rush and Preservation Hall was able to accommodate us and we were out by 12:50 - much appreciated! I really enjoyed a couple of the Kilter New England IPAs on tap. All 4 of us had the exceptional “Burger Week” burger, fries are outstanding and the house made bread is simply spectacular.

Arlene Ebora: Lovely food and service for us first time diners. Greeted pleasantly at the door, starter bread served, drinks came on time, starters followed, and then entrees came on time. We ordered butter lettuce salad, beef tartare, duck confit and buttermilk fried chicken. Water got filled the whole time. To-go box packed for us. It was flawless service and a perfect Friday night.Thank you.

sylvie landry: The drink was good. The food menu was amazing, we did not know what to choose at all

Justin Ness: First time going to this place. To start there was lots of parking; there should be no issues with that. The inside is very open and they have the option of eating inside or on the patio. Service was really good. The gentlemen that served us was pouring drinks and very attentive and patient throughout the whole sitting. I got the escargot for an appetizer which was really good. They also brought out some bread that according to the waiter was made in house and they seem to change up the type of bread as the couple that we went with noticed it was different bread. My partner got the fish and chips and said the bater was a little soft but other than that was quite good. I got the brisket which was glazed with a peach bourbon sauce and that was really nice. The price of the products is a little high but this is a “fancy place”. Probably a tier under the keg I would say. Overall would probably dine here again and a good first experience. Check it out for yourselves!Parking: In a plaza of restaurants so there’s plenty of parking.

T Eu: We came for oyster night which was well worth it on its own. We were able to come in as a walk in but make sure you do a reservation cause it does get packed on Wednesday for this special. We ordered 1/2 a charcuterie board and cheese, sous vide buttermilk fried chicken, avacado dip and all comes with house bread. The chocolate mousse was great! Lots of parking and family friendly.Vegetarian options: Not a set menu for vegetarians but customizable and there are some options. We ordered the avacado dip and it was ok but the pita that came with was great.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly restaurantParking: Tons of spots

Loc Lu: We went here just to try it out. I didn’t have high expectations just because of other experiences at restaurants lately. This place is definitely worth a visit. Friendly service, great drink options, tasty food with big portions, very wallet friendly prices. Overall this place was a breath of fresh air. We will be returning soon and recommending to our friends.

TheZomberry: and the servers were very friendly and attentive. Will eat here again soon!

Colleen Renaud: . The meats are all made there and were pretty good. Didn't enjoy the pickles or the chicken liver mousse, but the bread with the meat was very good. Beautiful decor, nice bar area.

Marilyn Kowalchuk: We finally returned to have dinner and had a great experience on Canada Day. Colin, our waiter was friendly and attentive even though he was busy looking after many other tables. I started with the oysters which are always fresh. Then we shared the Seafood Croquettes which had a great texture and mild flavor. Then we ordered the Dry Cajun Ribs and the Beet Gnocchi. The ribs were the best I've had and the Gnocchi were as soft and fluffy as a feather. It was great to pair those two dishes together. We finished with the Lemon Tart which was a great finish to a fantastic meal. I forgot to mention that I had the Coconut Mango Margarita that had great flavors and I would definitely come back soon and order one with our next visit here. We have never been disappointed at Preservation Hall. The food and service is top notch.

The Fort Garry Hotel, Spa and Conference Centre: what do users think?

Robert Huskey: We stayed for 3 nights in mid-August while traveling in Canada. The location is great for getting around downtown Winnipeg. The hotel is very beautiful and the rooms are large and comfortable.I have to say that there were at least 4 weddings in the 3 nights that were there, so very popular.I would point out that teh Concierge was AWESOME. Jeannie Cole was on point and very helpful numerous times during our stay. Kudos to her.

David P: I love this place. I've come here for weddings, dinners, etc. It's always been a great experience. The hotel lobby is beautiful. Staff have always been helpful, kind, professional, etc. And somewhat random, the elevators move super fast from floor to floor!Walkability: So close to the Forks and downtown!

Christina Chan: .The hallways are literally wide enough for a horse and carriage to go through....no kidding! And the beds - 10/10. A nice quiet sleep in a comfy bed that's not too soft, not too hardWalkability: Great location within walking distance to many restaurants and attractions.

Dee and Bob Fenton: This was a superb experience from the ambience, the excellent service and the wonderful food. The wedding dinner was excellent and accommodated all appetites. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was excellent. Both made you want to stay in them forever! Staff were always helpful and friendly. Our room was quiet and very comfortable.Walkability: It was close to several attractions and excellent restaurants .Food & drinks: Any of the meals we had were superb. The dinner served at the wedding reception was outstanding.

Hanna Harrison: Gorgeous wedding venueHotel highlights Romantic …

Natalie C.: It’s a historical marvel! Large size stately rooms with 10 foot ceilings and chandeliers and double heavy curtains for those preferring to sleep with no light. Our corner room 128 consisted of two rooms, one with king size bed, a desk and a lovely sofa, plus a full living room and dining room, lovely white bathroom, with new soft towels, pillows and warm blanket selection, temperature control, It was not only comfortable but it was a treat to stay here. It’s a historic building with many statues and portraits. We had a lovely view from both sides as 128 is a corner suite. There is a restaurant. On weekends they also serve branch. It’s a lovely experience to have stayed here.

Angela Liles: Just excellent! Food was amazing and service second to none!Rooms: Beautiful rooms with ornate features and bed was so comfortable. Decor just gorgeous.Safety: Hotel was superb with good clientele which made you feel safe together with the presence of staff.Walkability: Close to all amenitiesFood & drinks: Delicious. Charcuterie board was delicious Muscles were superb and cooked to perfection. Crème brûlée absolutely spot on.

Time Lapse Escape Rooms: what do users think?

Maureen Flaherty: We had a great time! As a big family we asked to be split into two groups with one room more appropriate for younger folks. Everyone was excited to be challenged in such a fun way. Our facilitators had wonderful energy, very welcoming and encouraging.

Anna Biebrich: We did the seasonal room and it was well thought out. Tamir and Alex were both great and we appreciate them allowing us to book last minute!

Lucas Loewen: Love it so much so much fun

Stacey M: . Emmanuel was our game master for Warlocks Curse and he was a delight even though our group was a bit wild LOL. Highly recommend!

Jaimie O'Dell: Myself and my two teens had a fantastic time!

Brandon Solheim: The rooms here are creative, with unique ideas for both themes and puzzles. What really sets this place apart is the team. They are easy-going, friendly, adaptable, and most of all you can tell their primary goal is to ensure you have a great time.I don't know what higher praise I can give them than to say that although I was doing a room alone, it felt like I was surrounded by friends who were having as good a time as I was; and isn't that what escape rooms are all about? You won't regret booking a room with Time Lapse.

Paul Geli: Always a great time. We have completed all of their escape rooms. Alec always looks out for us and makes sure we have the best time! Highly recommend time lapse and Alec if you get the chance! He’s him!

Aidan The Magician: Lots of fun and incredibly atmospheric, my group did the warlock one and escaped with less than a minute remaining, was quite a bit of fun and spooky to boot

Andrew Stevens: Absolutely fantastic. Challenging puzzles and some of the best staff I've ever seen at an escape room. 10/10

Vivianne: We had a great time. I would go again. Staff were a great help and fun.

Prairie Beauty: We were visiting from out of town and booked a room when we first arrived. Our host Eugene was amazing, welcoming and so fun to be around. We loved the first room - Trapped in Time. We ended up booking the Warlock's Curse on our way out of the city and it was very well done - tons of detail and well thought out! Highly recommend!

Erick VanCaeseele: Was a great experience. By far the best escape room we have been at yet. Very challenging but not impossible for even my wife and I to tackle Trapped In Time. Thanks Eugene for all the help getting us set up and for the good chat afterwards. Get way to spend some time while in Winnipeg. We share return with more people to tackle the other rooms.

Kristin Naayen: Super fun and friendly staff.

trina mcleod: This is was a really fun and well done escape room! Lots of clues to work on, and the six of us in the room all had things to work on so we weren't bored waiting while only a few were trying to solve things. It was challenging without feeling too overwhelming. Would definitely like try other rooms there in the future. One recommendation I have would be to give more incentive for beating the clock - it almost seems like I cheated myself out of my money by finishing so quickly!Overall a great experience.

Karen Rohr: We did this as a team building activity for coworkers. It was a lot of fun. Staff was very friendly.

Trevor Richmond: I fully forgot to take photos but enjoyed my stay. The club floor was great with the best selection of snacks I have seen in a hotel lounge all year. Will stay again. Only downside is the gym is in need of an update. But compared to other Marriott hotel in town it is ok.

Connie Travers: Awesome stay at an older hotel that was exceptionally clean. Our bathroom sink was a little plugged and it was looked after immediately!!Rooms: Very clean!!Safety: Felt very safe here!Walkability: We were not a far walk from restaurants or the RBC Center!

Andrew G: Checked in late tonight after a long travel day. The gentleman who checked us in, I believe his name was Vasemin made us feel right at home and was very helpful and friendly. Receiving such great service at the end of a long day is greatly appreciated. Room is very nice. We have stayed here often and is consistently a great choice in Winnipeg.

John Wardale: Hotel overall staff are here and Montreal back in 2009.Free washer and dryer on level "C"Hotel Breakfast was great quality and amazing service, tho "hotel pricing"...Hosted a Convention, which was spread out too much, but that's a CON issue, not the venue's issue.Rooms: Great roomsNearby activities: The Mint and the Leaf are drive, but plenty of art, breweries, food, etc are all walkable.

Carla Gomes: Beautiful hotel situated Downtown close to SO many cool places, whether you’re looking to shop, eat, or both! The quite large, private balconies are a bonus!Lovely indoor pool along with a jet tub and kiddy pool! I have been there since last year and I now bring my gf here too. We both love it! Staff are very flexible since sometimes I have unexpected events occur or running late.Service:Eyebrow threading

Michelle Grade: It's a nice place to get services done when I leave my appointment to the last minute as I can usually get in, in a pinch. Staff are friendly. I would recommend.

Ejiro Orimoloye: .They are quite fast. I booked an appointment during lunch break and I was back at work in no time. If you are downtown Winnipeg and you want to get your nails done, Magic Room Spa is the place to go.They have other services such as hair, makeup, skin treatments, body wax, massage, lashes, brows etc.NB: You need to book an appointment 🙂 because spaces run out fast

Krystan McCaig: I won't go anywhere else for mani pedis! I am so grateful a friend took me here years ago. The Magic Room's services are well priced and the environment is so relaxing. The staff are professional, attentive and talented.

Jeanette Latimer: The relaxing massage chair with a pedicure is the bomb!

Activate Games: what do users think?

Shyam Ujeniya: Amazing place

Alex Derksen: I went with a group and we had a blast. There's so many different versions of each room that the overall replay value of this place is amazing. A really great way to have fun and be active.

Lisa Friesen: Can't say enough great things about this place!!! It is beyond amazing! Great time out with family & or friends!

Andrew M: Want to get a work out in without even realizing you're working out? This is the spot. Basically, playing video games but in real life. Lots of fun for groups of all ages. Very cost effective.

Jacquelyn Oduro: My family loves Activate! It’s always a guaranteed fun activity to do. I have even come for a work team building afternoon as well and my co-workers loved it!The only feedback I would give is that it would even be better if it had a small change room and water bottle filling station. The bathroom wasn’t very clean, and is the only place to change into your active wear.Otherwise it’s a brilliant set up and so much fun!

Chris B: Very enjoyable! Easily spent the time allotted time and was left wanting more. Really like their level reward systems.Good for older kids and adults. Make sure to wear comfortable footwear, lots of moving, running and some climbing. Definitely bring friends.

McKenna Graham-Roberts: 10/10 recommend. I for sure will be coming back!!!

Kyle Fehr: Went with group from work for bonding. We had a blast and will be coming back again

Cynthia Russier: It was super fun! We came as a group of 7.The reason I give u 4 stars is cos it stinks of sweat and we aren't allowed to take water with us, so by time the 75 minutes are done, we were sooooo thirsty!!!Also, some of the games would say "to play the next level, press on the green button;" and we would press on it and nothing would happen, so we tried again, and then it would say "please exit the room in 10 seconds" - so yeah, that was a pain

Michael Dube: A great way to get a workout! Wear your gym clothes! We prefer this location over the other as this one the rooms are better sound proofed. Having people screaming when you're trying to listen to prompts takes away from the experience... that doesn't happen at this location. I prefer the layout of this one as well.

Aaron Tsang: Always a blast, but sometimes can be quite busy causing other groups to boot you from the gaming rooms. If possible, going at off hours will greatly enhance your experience.

Pamela Olson: My kids and I love going here. It is so much fun, and the games are awesome.

Brian Goodman: Went there as part of a school field trip. The students had a lot of fun!

Lucas Keuler: Fun

Rodney: Lovely building architecture. The art exhibits, nicely displayed, covered a few genres but for me the most enjoyable were the stone carved figures column in the entry but most importantly was the Inuit section. The artistry and craftsmanship represented in the creations was just simply beautiful. A real gem. The staff were friendly and helpful especially the young lady in the cafe.

Natalie Marion: Always a great visit. Loved the delicious food being served out of their coffeeshop.

Mia Balansag: I recently visited the museum gallery with my kids on a free Sunday, and it was truly an amazing experience. The grand entrance of the "Color Therapy" exhibit was both inviting and vibrant, with its seamless blending of white space and a mishmash of captivating colors. It was heartening to see a dedicated area for kids to create their own art, adding a wonderful touch of interactivity. However, my personal highlight was undoubtedly the section featuring Victorian, realism, and classic portraits. These portraits eloquently painted a rich tapestry of history, and I found myself engrossed in reading the backstories that accompanied each piece. The depth and attention to detail in these artworks were truly impressive.Another captivating exhibit was the indigenous art display, which provided a poignant lens into the truth and reconciliation of past hurts. It was an eye-opening experience, and I felt a deep sense of connection to the stories told through the art. Spending time in this section left me feeling enlightened and more aware of the struggles and resilience of indigenous communities. The museum also offered a haven for relaxation and unwinding. I could easily spend an entire afternoon there, away from the constant buzz of technology, feeling refreshed and calm. One of the highlights for my kids was the scavenger hunt for indigenous art pieces, which added an element of excitement and engagement for them.My only wish is that there were more interactive activities like the scavenger hunt. These activities would undoubtedly enhance the overall experience for both children and adults, making the museum visit even more immersive and memorable. All in all, our visit to the museum gallery was an enriching and enjoyable experience. From the captivating color therapy exhibit to the thought-provoking Victorian portraits and the eye-opening indigenous art display, the museum provided a well-rounded and engaging journey through art and history. It's a place that both educates and inspires, making it a must-visit for families seeking a blend of culture, history, and creativity.

Holiday Inn Winnipeg - Airport West, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?

Crystal Seman: THE BEST staff. Every interaction was genuine and friendly. We held a conference there over 5 days and it was one of the best conferences we have ever held. Our attendees have been raving all week! Thank you to Costa, Sanjay, Angela, Angie, Brittany. All the housekeeping staff, banquet servers, bartenders, front desk staff. Truly a gem of a property!

huntressdl71: We ended up booking during a city wide festival, so the hotel was fully booked! Fortunately for us, the hallways and rooms were quiet, day and night! We enjoyed a peaceful stay and will definitely stay there again next time we're in Winnipeg.Rooms: Very clean and comfortable!Food & drinks: Breakfast service was incredible, and the food was reasonably priced and delicious!

Adam Leclaire: I was very pleased with my one week stay at this location. Manager Angela and front desk Nina were really great at providing excellent customer service and are very pleasant people. Definitely set the tone for a good experience. I found the location to be very convenient with walking distance to some of the greatest treasures that Winnipeg has to offer; such as the forks, the leaf, and the zoo. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Mykaela Starr: IHG Club Member. Stayed here for two nights with our small children during our trip to the Winnipeg zoo. Location was great - close to everywhere we needed to be. Lots of parking!Check-in and reception was satisfactory, we received the room preferences we requested. When we got to the room though, I wasn't pleased to see the walls scuffed up throughout the room and coffee stains - I really wanted to take a magic eraser to the room - made the room seem unclean. Our phone was not working, so we didn't order room service. Beds and bedding were comfortable, had a good rest. However, lots of traffic noise - would highly recommend a higher floor to lessen it like we did. Loved the full-size Dove products in bathroom. We enjoyed having breakfast both days at their Birchwood Restaurant, service was friendly and food was superb! Very generous portions, we didn't need lunch. Remember to grab the kids eat free passes from the front desk before sitting down at the restaurant!Salt-water pool/hot-tub and pirates playground were highlights for our children and much appreciated attractions after a long day out and about.Overall, would recommend and stay again!

B R: Generally OK hotel. Pros: Reasonably priced, rooms are comfortable and super clean. Noise insulation in rooms is impressive with exception of the noise caused by the locking mechanism of vault-like room doors. Hotel staff generally friendly and helpful. Complimentary basement parking. Good gym. Cons: It’s one of those hotels with an indoor waterpark, which means the hotel in general has this constant chlorine smell everywhere. It also means the hotel attracts a somewhat rowdy clientele. Lighting in bathroom was poor making it very difficult to shave or apply make up etc. A shaving/vanity mirror would have also helped considering the counterspace around the sink was extremely large, thereby making it difficult to lean forward to look closely in the mirror.
