Carolyn Adams: My kids have been swimming with shining stars for 3 years now and are thriving in the program. My son is more cautious and the program is tailored to his abilities in the water, my daughter is more advanced and flourishes with the attention. Both kids have learned a reinforced sense of water safety and are supported by their teachers. Paige’s excitement for her kids is palpable and this amazing program is worth every penny

Sabrina Seo: Paige and her team are incredible! We have been taking my son to swimming lessons since he was a toddler at our local community rec centre and he had never swam with enough skill to be take off his life jacket in the pool. One summer with Paige and he is now swimming like a champ. It was really incredible and such a gift to me and my family knowing he's safe in the water. I love that her approach is safety first and it was worth the investment.

The Family: Amazing pool. Also has grrat rec and youth programs. Including summer camps. Highly recommended pool.

This is a well staffed pool with friendly swimmers.EDIT: This is my all time favourite pool in Hamilton. I wish I could swim in the early morning here around 6 or 630. I find it difficult to leave work mid day, swim and come back. I would gladly swim here every day if they changed their hours. I cannot day enough good things about this pool and staff.

Tree Shop (Tree): I do the Water fit class 3 x a week...the only complaint I have is the Water fit instructor on Mondays has no energy for teaching this class....she walks through everything on the slow motion button...and skips things....I really don't know why she is teaching this class when she acts like she doesn't want to be there.....the instructor who is there on Wednesday and Friday is awesome....she makes you want to work it.... thanks for her on Wednesday and Thursday....she is totally awesome...

DIANA FOX: This is a large well maintained swimming pool and I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff! From the receptionist to the life guards, everyone was very pleasant and friendly.The oversized pool was not very busy and actually had hardly anyone in it so admittedly the lifeguards weren't terribly busy but they were so wonderful with my grandson! The young man dragged the little basketball net over for him to play with and even spent time with him teaching him how to dive properly! The young lady tossed a ball with him for a bit also.

Emily Roode: Back to Basics was an amazing experience for me. The training was excellent, and the team of instructors was by far the best team I've ever worked with! Having small classes makes it better for the kids to learn more skills and have one on one learning time. I recommend Back to Basics for volunteering somewhere and learning how to teach such wonderful kids how to swim!
Harold Wethers: I had a my first swim lesson with Elmira this week, I have never been comfortable in the water but she was very patient with me. I was very nervous to take lessons as an older adult but she was very supportive and helpful. I am so glad I decided to reach out to Back to Basics and finally learn to swim.

Alex Prince: The lifeguards here are very good. One of them asked me why I was walking around the pool deck and I explained I was doing my cool down after swimming. Evidently, I am the only person in Hamilton who does this.
Justine Melowsky: Take my kiddo there for swimming lessons. Lifeguards are good, though seem to sometimes lack communication. Location looks amazing compared to what it was like when I went there as a kid. Universal Changeroom sometimes smells like septic/sewer but it is otherwise always clean and safe.

Aaron McBurney: My daughter has taken all of her swimming lessons here. The staff are super friendly and the selection of pools is awesome.There is a very shallow section where those who can't swim or are still learning can hang out, and it's connected to a deeper pool where the water slide exits into. The water in both of these sections is perfectly warm. Almost like being in a bathtub that has just started to cool off.There's an entirely other pool which has a shallow end and a deep end. This is your typical swimming pool. The deep end is roped off. The water temperature here is like your typical swimming pool water.My daughter doesn't like swimming anywhere else. Will keep coming back!

Elena Luzhanoffsky: Amazing swimming classes for little ones!I love the fact that the pool is warm unlike at any other classes where they rent the cold community pools.The instructor was great - she quickly found her way around our child and connected with him. The training is built with progression in mind for the kids age and comfort level in the pool, which I feel other classes don't offer as well.Great experience so far!Lastly, the main fact that brought us to this company from another is that you can actually reschedule your classes and don't lose those precious and super expensive 30 minutes of swimming per week. I haven't explored the app yet, but I saw the option right there. Super convenient as you never know what can happen and if you can make it to the class especially if you have a smaller baby.

The number of available options for every Level is key too! Additionally, and perhaps most important, is that I feel much more at ease knowing that the kids are learning to be comfortable in and under the water with their pro-submersion philosophy and learning keep developmental skills in water safety and enjoyment!

Tara Richmond: My son has been going to Aqua Tots for two years. He has become such a competent little swimmer. He loves his coaches and it’s obvious they care about him as well.I appreciate the ability to track his progress through their app so I can work on things at home with him outside of class time.I’ve heard some parents complain about the cost vs the length of class time. I believe 25 minutes is a good amount of time. I can see my son learning new things week over week so the limited time clearly works. He also gets to engage his peers during lessons and build relationships.So long as my son continues to want to swim, we will continue to be at Aqua Tots.
Lisa Clifford: class like can happen with some other coaches. We’ll miss having her as our regular coach. Coach Shay keeps everything running smoothly during the week with a nice clean and dry change room. Parking is ok during the week but you should give a bit of extra time on the weekends.
