They also pay attention to all participants in class and guide you. Ive never done Barre before but it's easy to get the hang of and if your shaking uncontrollably, that's a good sign!

Sarah and all of her instructors are amazing in guiding you through the routines and are so welcoming. Many gyms can feel intimidating but Fitbarre is a lovely community of women.In just 50 minutes the classes will have you shaking in all the right places, it’s low impact but still very challenging and between the isometric movements and tiny reps you’ll start to see definition plus have heaps more energy. It took some getting used to the morning classes but now they are the best way to start my day, but not to worry if early morning workouts aren’t your thing cause they have plenty of options!

Eddie Enriquez: This location is for those people who want to lift. 2 floors of variety of equipment some older equipment but overall well kept and stocked. Depending on when you go it can get pretty busy but the location has a vast parking lot and a friendly staff who are always quite helpful and play good beats. Also located by a rail trail entrance if you want to do outdoor cardio.

The combination of treadmill, rower and floor sections was very unique and I found them very helpful in burning my calories. I didn’t find it overwhelming for my body compared to calories burned. Not only that, the workout was equally challenging compared to my routine gym workouts. I am very excited to see positive changes in my body with the help and support from the OTF sessions. I am very confident that these workout sessions will help me stay on track and crush my fitness goals.

All staff were very knowledgeable and passionate about OT. The instructor for that workout was supportive, informative and very professional. He was with us the entire way, checking in on everyone routinely and correcting incorrect form. You work out at your own pace but move with the class… they push you but respect your limitations and can modify the class to fit your needs. Very intense 1hour workout but left me feeling happy and energetic. It was an easy decision for me to sign up for the unlimited package because unlike traditional gyms, I actually look forward to going back! On a side note, they also play amazing music while you work out!!!

Adam Shultis: An exhausting exercise experience that really pushes you to reach your goals. The heart rate monitor you can get will track your calories, heart rate, and calories lost. It will also award you splat points which basically means the more points you get, the harder you pushed yourself. I find it fast paced so it might be hard to keep up. Class sizes are usually reasonable and they have a schedule that works for anybody.

Laura Knisley: I’ve been with Fit4Females for 11years now. I was immediately hooked on not just the classes, but the people and the energy that each person brings is contagious.When Covid came along F4F immediately took the initiative to change to online. While this had its initial challenges, Trina and her staff rose to the occasion and kept F4F going and all of us members were able to continue on with our fitness. I know that online wasn’t everyone’s ideal answer and even I was skeptical of online at first too. I came to realize that I could get the same results online as I did in class. Then with the magic of this community members would start coming on before and stay on after class to catch up and check in on one another. Members that couldn’t come to live class because they had moved were able to come back through the beauty of online. We all adapted to our new online classes and found new and inventive ways to do exercises like; ball slams we’re now using pillows aka pillow slams instead of slamballs. Members were able to use household items instead of weights as at home equipment was hard to get during Covid.While I love in person, I can honestly say I love online. I love working out at home and then can continue on my day. Online brought us 615am classes. Online has allowed me to stay on track with my fitness while I’m away or in bad weather I simply walk into my basement and I don’t have to miss class. Trina came up with having playbacks of classes so if you couldn’t make live you could sign on and do a replay. This is another bonus of online as an option as it keeps me on track with my fitness routine during holidays when previously in class was on a scheduled break or if I had to miss a class, I could sign in and pick any class I wanted and stay committed to my fitness.I’m grateful that F4F has stayed with online. If you haven’t tried and you are considering or if you are considering coming back, just do it! Come join us, trust me you won’t regret it!

Amandeep Kaur (Aman): Overall this gym is great, but doesn’t it have all the machines here. For example no squat machine , no hip thrust machines etc., and it only has one barbell squat rack so when it’s busy one person is working out and like 4-5 people waiting for that person to finish sets. It’s not okay if this gym has the same membership fee as other good life locations then it should have all the machines too.

nikki smyth: I'm highlighting a personal trainer at the Limeridge Goodlife location.I moved to Hamilton in the summer of 2022 knowing I wanted to grab a hold ahold of my new single life and really find out who I was again. The first thing I did was sign up at Goodlife and get a personal trainer. I knew I wanted to join an adult sports team, I wanted to feel strong and good in my body again And a specific goal was to be able to do a chin-up. I was paired with Jenavieve and it was perfect right from the begining.Jenavieve has a background in all different forms of physical activity and exercise which benefited me greatly for my specific sports and performance goals. I started playing women's tackle football and since she has a background playing sports, she was able to help me with some of the specific training and conditioning I needed to play . She's able to take into consideration injuries and how you're feeling that day and adjust the workout that's planned.Jenavieve was not only able to help me in the sports aspect of my exercise, but she was able to help me feel and look Stronger.She never made me think I couldn't do something. She always encouraged more out of me and I always felt like I was pushing my muscles as hard as I could. After every workout I was always sweating but I also put in the work. Now, not only do I feel stronger, I look stronger. I can see the definition of my muscles everywhere, especially my arms, which feels amazing.Jenavieve is always bringing something new to the table. She's always researching or reading about different forms of exercise and different exercises and often brought something new to try if I wanted to.Since starting to work out again with Jenevieve consistently, I now go to the gym multiple times a week because i've seen the results in my body and in my mental health and it's so worth it.So whoever needs a personal trainer, No matter who you are or what your goals are, I feel like Jenavieve can adapt and assist anyone and their needs.PS-I can do more than one chin-up now and the first time I did it... I might have cried.Jenavieve helps achieve goals.

Zaida Wilson: I have had Jenevieve as my personal trainer for the past eight months. She has been an absolute pleasure to work with. She is very knowledgeable and works very hard to achieve my goals. I am in my 70’s and have a back and hip issue and she pushes me to achieve my goals while bearing in mind my limitations. Stretching was a huge part of our routine. Our sessions were also fun and full of some laughter. Jenevieve is very professional, reliable and always punctual. I wish her great success in her next adventure.

I always use gym showers after working out, so I don't like that.Women's only gyms should have towel service. General complaint and not reflected in my rating.

She listened when I gave her feedback about pain I was experiencing in the moment and modified the exercise or just switched it up altogether. It's a tough balance to strike between pushing someone with health limits like myself while also respecting what my body needed but Jenavieve always managed to do it! I can't be happier with the progress she helped me make in my balance, mobility, and physical strength which will help me in the long run. If you have an injury or a chronic illness which affects your Musculoskeletal System like I do, don't hesitate in working with Jenavieve! You won't regret it.

Kare Bear: she was able to adjust my workout plans accordingly.When I started with Jenavieve I wasn't able to do a full body weight squat but with her guidance and knowledge, I am able to do full loaded squats, this is something that I never thought I would be able to do!Thank you Jenavieve for all of your motivation and laughs.

Cat Ridsdale: I had the absolute pleasure of having Jenavieve as my personal trainer at GoodLife. She was incredible. Always so accommodating and able to change our workout plan to address goals and needs. Through injuries unrelated to working out she was even ahead of my Physio therapist with exercises to target and strengthen. She is very knowledgeable, patient and positive. 10/10 recommend her

Xelf Fitness: what do users think?

Laura Mayo: I went to Xelf with 10/10 chronic pain, and 3 months later my pain has decreased to 2/10. The vibe is accepting, non-judgmental, relaxed and encouraging. Blaise, especially, has extensive experience working with injuries and pain. She tailors the workout to accommodate your body's needs. She listens and works with you on forming goals. She gently pushes you, always being attentive and sensitive to whatever limitations you may have. I am so grateful. Thank you Blaise and thank you Xelf!!

Amina Daimee: , weak back and shoulders, and some ankle pain/ mobility issues. These problems are respectively 10, 13, and 5 years old. I have worked with multiple trainers, massage therapists, physiotherapist, chiropractors, osteopaths, and had acupuncture with very little to no improvement.A friend recommended I see Blaise since this was her area of expertise. I owe that person dinner, cause my experience has been exceptional! I was an avid hiker and had to stop due to the pain. Last month, I was in the UK and walked probably 15-20km a day with no issues- I have not been able to do this in 5 years! Friends and family have commented on my improved posture- I stand taller and apparently look more confident. Even the way I walk has changed. My hips are looser, my toes don't point outwards anymore, and I can't even remember ever walking with my toes pointing straight forward- maybe when I was in my early 20s? I feel stronger, especially in the areas of concern in my upper body. My job requires a lot of use of my arms and requires shoulder stability/mobility. My career puts me at risk of injuries parallel to massage therapists and I had been concerned about my longevity in this field. Thanks to my program with Blaise, I am now able to work an average of 2-3 hours more per day without experiencing tension or pain in my neck and shoulders. That in itself has increased my ability to earn more income. It is only August, so all of my problems are not cured, but we are getting pretty darn close.I highly recommend every single person with a mobility issue, sports injury, any movement limited person to start working with Blaise. You will not regret it.

I had been told, by fit people, that gyms are places of camaraderie and motivation, but I never believed them until I started the foundations program at Xelf. Omar and Damian have made fitness make more sense to me - in addition to creating a space that feels non-judgemental and friendly. I highly recommend booking an info session: these guys are the real deal and they care about people. Not sure what else you can ask for.

Eric Heideman: Damian was great to work with on identifying some “blind spots” I had with movements I’d been frustrated with in my time in gyms over the last 10 years. With Damian’s help- I realized there was still much, much more to learn and improve on. Damian customized a single session for me to work through questions and concerns at my own pace- and openly invited me to check back in after putting some of his advice to work on my own. Xelf is a great and no pressure Gym- trainers support knowledge levels from basic, to intermediate and advanced.

From my first information session to my extremely thorough assessment to today, the Xelf Fitness Foundation Program, Staff and facilities has been the perfect fit for my fitness needs!I am in my mid 50’s and experiencing the aches and pains that come with aging and sitting all day. I knew I needed to move more and increase my strength training but regular gyms overwhelm me with all the people. The Foundation Program’s semi-private sessions are worth every penny! I’m guided and encouraged all the way through my workouts!I was already sold and then I had my assessment with Damian Lockhart. Damian recognized that my many years of sitting had really affected my body physically. He recommended extra sessions before the start of the Foundation Program. Some of you may think ‘money grab’ but I assure you, Damian had my best interest in mind. The extra sessions helped me correct some bad posture problems that would have led to reduced benefits from the Foundation Program. Damian explained his suggestion for the extra sessions in such a way that made sense; I trusted his experience and knowledge and he didn’t let me down. The extra sessions allowed my body to ease into the workouts after years of little to no regular exercise. One month later I started the Foundation Program at an improved fitness level that has allowed my body to get the results of the program that my body needed!The main difference, I believe, between the Xelf Fitness Foundation Program and other gym programs is the semi-private sessions with their educated and passionate instructors! I constantly witness the instructors adjust routines for myself and others based on our bodies specific needs or limitations. It’s this personal attention and adjustments as needed that set Xelf Fitness apart from all the others!
