I’ve just moved here from the US and I wanted to find a nice place to eat. This was it. Service was impeccable and everything was cooked to perfection. I can’t wait to bring my husband back to try as well. He’s been in Stoney Creek for a long time and he’s going to love it as much as I did. Thank you for making me a delicious dinner. One meal always takes me 2 sittings.The staff are lovely. They want to make you food you'll love. They are so attentive to dietary restrictions.The atmosphere is so lovely inside. There isn't much in terms of seating, but there is space if you did want to stay in, but it is predominantly a pick up and go joint.It's worth driving there and grabbing your food. Avoid the delivery services and go yourself and enjoy the company of this lovely family.Parking can be hard, but that's not their fault as they are on a busy main road.

Melissa Kelly: Called at 230pm for a 4pm pick upOrdered Cheese Wontons, Beef and Broccoli, Beef Lo Mein, Orange Chicken, Deep Fried Shrimps, Short Ribs, Pork Dumplings and an Egg RollGrowing up on the mountain in the 80s, my family would traditionally eat at the great buffet that was China Kiki at Mountain Plaza Mall or travel to Burlington to eat at the greater buffet that was Foo Ho. When looking for Chinese food here in the city, the food had to live up to those standards in my memory. Eng’s does not disappoint. It is fast, hot, and very tasty. The egg roll was eaten so fast we missed it in the picture! The breading in the shrimps was unlike any other deep fried shrimps goodness I’ve had, and even lasted to the next day for lunch. The beef in both beef dishes was flavourful and well cooked. The vegetables were crunchy and sauced well. The Lo Mein noodles were great both on their own with sweet and sour sauce and with the beef and veg, too. And the orange chicken? Full of saucy goodness. The Short Ribs were the perfect kind of sticky if that makes any sense. Oh - and cheese wontons - they are just cheese, no crab - they are just a delight, both before and after the meal. There was plenty of food for two people - we ordered it for 4pm so that we could snack on it all night, and had enough for lunch the next day. They also tossed in about 8 fortune cookies which is always a bonus.We have lived on the east mountain for 5 years now, and just tried Eng’s for the first time. It is dangerously good knowing it is so very close.

The lady I spoke with on the phone was very lovely, and took my order with no problems, she told me there would be a 2 hour wait understandably on New Years Eve, and trust me any other place was not delivering at all, and these guys stepped up and delivered!! The delivery girl was lovely, hopefully she made it through the New Years Night! And now the food... wow the food was actually super hot I've never had that from any delivery service which was amazing 👏 and everything we ordered was there, and all my guests where happy, excellent food, excellent delivery, excellent communication, this place goes above and beyond for their customers, and I'm 1000% Satisfied with my order, and based on my experience tonight I'd highly recommend this establishment, and I'd definitely order from them again!! I was living in Cambridge, and it wouldn’t be unusual to see people we knew from Kitchener driving all the way there for the good food.Fast forward to last weekend. Brought the love of my life there for lunch. She is from Philippines, but has lived in Taiwan, South Korea and Hong Kong. She likes Iron Chef and says it is the authentic style from Hong Kong. If she says it’s good, then it’s good!!!!

Neill C: South China Chinese Food is a fantastic take out restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone who loves Chinese cuisine. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, but their pork chop and onion on rice and egg fu yung on rice are two of my absolute favorites.
Yao Jia (Jessica) Zhang: I use to be a regular here when i was a student years ago, now i try to grab a meal whenever i pass by the area, their food is so good, authentic and homey and the lovely lady still recognizes me. I recommend the eggplant with minced pork on rice and the fujian fried rice. Havent found another place that makes those dishes better! You can also ask to customize the spicyness and not to put any msg as well.

Purple Lily: Delicious food and great service. The restaurant is clean with simple decor and the staff are friendly and attentive. The Thai Iced Coffee was so creamy and all the food was flavourful. My only criticism is that I wish the entree portion was a bit more generous; the plates are smaller and I was able to finish my Pad Thai with ease and was still hungry, when I usually can't finish all of it at other restaurants.

Charles Walker: I had the Malay Laksa broth with the brisket and udon noodles. The broth was definitely spicy but pretty tasty. The bok choy and coriander were fresh. The brisket was tender. My wife ordered the gyoza, which she thought was quite good, but the wrapper was too thick. The restaurant decor is impressive and the service was also quite good.Parking: It's a small parking lot out front. We were able to find a spot easily, but it may be difficult during the school year with Mac right across the street.

Noah Moruzi: Went here a week or so ago with 2 other friends. The staff was friendly and the restaurant itself felt nice. Between the 3 of us, we ordered chicken fried rice, General chow chicken, chicken balls, and dry cooked beans. The food was good and tasted more authentic than the Chinese food I have gotten from restaurants in the surrounding area. There was more than enough for all of us, and with the bill split between us, it was pretty cheap aswell. Would recommend.
Avinash Singh: This is nestled in Westdale Village in the west end of Hamilton. Its a lovely location to dine, its not been as busy as it used to pre-pandemic but just means i get served delicious meals faster. The food is great tasting and portions are good value. The ataff are very accommodating and you can order ahead. If they tell you 15 to 20mins they mean it unless you get a busy evening which is when its busiest especially Friday and Saturday as the outdoor scene in Westdale offers lots to do.

William Kung: Really the best place to eat for students. The owner was very nice and took good care of us. The taste of home-cooked food is something you can't find in other restaurants, the price is affordable, and the food is delicious and healthy. Those who require "advanced" service quality and speed can eat restaurants that are five times more expensive and charge a 10% service charge.
