Tracy Clements: This was the first time that I’ve visited this restaurant. Oh my it was absolutely delicious and probably some of the best food I’ve eaten. I’ve just moved here from the US and I wanted to find a nice place to eat. This was it. Service was impeccable and everything was cooked to perfection. I can’t wait to bring my husband back to try as well. He’s been in Stoney Creek for a long time and he’s going to love it as much as I did. Thank you for making me a delicious dinner. It was delightful ❤️.

Melissa Kelly: Called at 230pm for a 4pm pick upOrdered Cheese Wontons, Beef and Broccoli, Beef Lo Mein, Orange Chicken, Deep Fried Shrimps, Short Ribs, Pork Dumplings and an Egg RollGrowing up on the mountain in the 80s, my family would traditionally eat at the great buffet that was China Kiki at Mountain Plaza Mall or travel to Burlington to eat at the greater buffet that was Foo Ho. When looking for Chinese food here in the city, the food had to live up to those standards in my memory. Eng’s does not disappoint. It is fast, hot, and very tasty. The egg roll was eaten so fast we missed it in the picture! The breading in the shrimps was unlike any other deep fried shrimps goodness I’ve had, and even lasted to the next day for lunch. The beef in both beef dishes was flavourful and well cooked. The vegetables were crunchy and sauced well. The Lo Mein noodles were great both on their own with sweet and sour sauce and with the beef and veg, too. And the orange chicken? Full of saucy goodness. The Short Ribs were the perfect kind of sticky if that makes any sense. Oh - and cheese wontons - they are just cheese, no crab - they are just a delight, both before and after the meal. There was plenty of food for two people - we ordered it for 4pm so that we could snack on it all night, and had enough for lunch the next day. They also tossed in about 8 fortune cookies which is always a bonus.We have lived on the east mountain for 5 years now, and just tried Eng’s for the first time. It is dangerously good knowing it is so very close.

The lady I spoke with on the phone was very lovely, and took my order with no problems, she told me there would be a 2 hour wait understandably on New Years Eve, and trust me any other place was not delivering at all, and these guys stepped up and delivered!! The delivery girl was lovely, hopefully she made it through the New Years Night! And now the food... wow the food was actually super hot I've never had that from any delivery service which was amazing 👏 and everything we ordered was there, and all my guests where happy, excellent food, excellent delivery, excellent communication, this place goes above and beyond for their customers, and I'm 1000% Satisfied with my order, and based on my experience tonight I'd highly recommend this establishment, and I'd definitely order from them again!! Neill C: South China Chinese Food is a fantastic take out restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone who loves Chinese cuisine. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, but their pork chop and onion on rice and egg fu yung on rice are two of my absolute favorites.
Yao Jia (Jessica) Zhang: I use to be a regular here when i was a student years ago, now i try to grab a meal whenever i pass by the area, their food is so good, authentic and homey and the lovely lady still recognizes me. I recommend the eggplant with minced pork on rice and the fujian fried rice. Havent found another place that makes those dishes better! You can also ask to customize the spicyness and not to put any msg as well.

There isn't much in terms of seating, but there is space if you did want to stay in, but it is predominantly a pick up and go joint.It's worth driving there and grabbing your food. Avoid the delivery services and go yourself and enjoy the company of this lovely family.Parking can be hard, but that's not their fault as they are on a busy main road.

The broccoli is always made to the perfect crunchiness and their rice options are always fuffy and not just a rice pancake. They're always on time with orders and on a bus route too. William Kung: Really the best place to eat for students. The owner was very nice and took good care of us. The taste of home-cooked food is something you can't find in other restaurants, the price is affordable, and the food is delicious and healthy. Those who require "advanced" service quality and speed can eat restaurants that are five times more expensive and charge a 10% service charge.

Lillian Maharaj: I have been craving Chinese food for a couple days now. I didn’t want the same old tasteless disappointing places, so I researched a ton of restaurants and ended up choosing Great Wall through Uber. The food arrived quickly and piping hot. I am so glad I chose this restaurant as it did not disappoint! Everything was fresh and plentiful. The rice had flavour, the Cantonese chow mein was on point and the deep fried chicken wings were all delicious. Luckily I had my own lemons as the wings didn’t come with a lemon wedge. Thanks Great Wall for a fantastic meal!

Mustapha Mustapha: This is my second time, the first time was via uber eats and it was nice (vegetable and poundo… i walked in today for same, to my surprise the poundo was only one as against two as seen on the menu and price list, its also not goat meat. I had to request for extra and paid for it. The price i paid was different from what is posted here, harmonize it. I showed the waiter what is posted as the price and what i am supposed to get.

Phoebe Mude: My sister recommended this place and nobody’s food has made me smile from the first bite to the last like this place. My coleslaw was forgotten but the food made me forget it instantly. Nonetheless, 10s across the board!!! From the flavour of the fried rice to the tenderness of the goat meat, I was impressed; this is a place I will definitely be ordering from again!

The staff were so friendly, after greeting us with smiling faces they were quick to accommodate our needs, we had a group of 8 and everyone wanted to try everything so they provided us with a family style dining to make the experience that much more enjoyable. The dishes were truly authentic to Nigeria, the flavors, spices, and atmosphere made you taste and feel like you were in West Africa, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. In the heart of Hamilton they certainly contribute to the unique and diverse community that is James Street, I highly recommend anyone to try it out. Our favorite dishes were egusi with pounded yam, the jollof rice ofcourse, the fish was absolutely to die for and perfectly paired with zoba drink. We will absolutely be back and will be recommending to our friends and family.

I decided to go and try it out… Very delicious, service was fantastic and very polite, and above all the portion sizes are great. I will be returning again for sure very happy with this local business.

I was living in Cambridge, and it wouldn’t be unusual to see people we knew from Kitchener driving all the way there for the good food.Fast forward to last weekend. Brought the love of my life there for lunch. She is from Philippines, but has lived in Taiwan, South Korea and Hong Kong. She likes Iron Chef and says it is the authentic style from Hong Kong. If she says it’s good, then it’s good!!!!
