Hardcore Bikes: what do users think?

Kirk Chambers: If your looking for excellence in a bike shop look no further.Knowledgable staff, excellent mechanics and great service.

stamperitis: I have bought several bikes for my family and have recommended to all my co-workers and friends. They also have great service and on the occasion when I can't figure something out they deal with it and explain. Wonderful bike shop.

kent z: Hardcore made picking my first gravel bike easy! I told Steve what type of riding and surfaces i was going out on and he gave me 3 options with a strong recommendation to go with a custom built Hakka. It took me about 2 weeks of google r&d to take his recommendation and am i ever glad i did. The bike is perfect for what i want to do which is road bike rides on gravel. Steve nailed the drive train and wheels and after 3 rides and a few hundred k i can say that its perfect. Looks pretty darn sweet too.Sorry my first review some how pulled up old text!

Dean Anderson: Thanks for the last minute with your help with my dropper! It worked flawlessly on the 850km Colorado Trail!!

Karl Welz: Good selection of products and good prompt delivery of special orders. Friendly staff. Top notch service department.

Trent L.: Very knowledgeable staff that will sell you what you need. As cyclists, they use the products that they sell.

Misha Nelson: . When I was ready, they were so helpful in selecting a new bike, and patient while I looked around and checked prices elsewhere, ultimately choosing to purchase with Hardcore because they are so awesome with customer service. The bike we chose has met all of my needs, and they even ordered in a few specific items so I could get the aesthetic I wanted.

Shantel Koenig: happens. Don't be intimidated by the "hardcore" name - the staff are a bunch of loveable bike nerd softies

Ron Wildemann: They were very helpful, had the parts I needed at a good price. Will definitely come back!!!

Dan Wilberg: Excellent work as always, simply the best service experience in town. I recently moved across the city from Hardcore, but I don’t think twice when I have bike needs; they’re still my local go-to shop

Sean: Solid customer service, great work and homey small town vibes. Love reppin' Hardcore for my bike I purchased there 10 yrs ago

mike kornega: People working there were easy to deal with, no pressure sales tactics. They seemed very passionate about bikes and knowledgeable in helping me choose my new ride, and even made some adjustments to make it more comfortable for me. Will definitely go back for my family's next bikes. Thanks!

Beverley Klassen: Best serve ever. The young person made me feel smart - learning more about bikes all the time

Wyatt Howg: The staff was very helpful and their knowledge made my experience there great.

Bike Edmonton South Community Workshop: what do users think?

Cyrus Li: Great place to learn about bikes, find new and used parts, knowledgeable volunteers. Great way to support local bike community.

Kelly Granigan: I like that it's a mask mandatory space, helps me feel safe there

Dave Severn: Very professional help and a pleasure to get the help I needed to get my Grandkids mobile when they come.

Ron P.: Booked an appointment to DIY fix my bike which needed pretty much everything. Manager hooks me up with Colin and we start working. He taught me so much in 3 hours it was incredible. Explained things clearly, super patient, extremely knowledgeable and just a good guy to learn from. Fixed my bike from top to bottom with me doing some of the work. I dont usually praise people but this guy went so far beyond to help it was shocking. Prices are great and I felt like I was part of the project. I will be back for sure!!

Kazimir Haykowsky: Such a wonderful place, community, and resource! I highly recommend picking up a membership to support this organization, get some top-quality assistance with your bike, and connect with a supportive community. The workshop is such a fun and positive space, with so much knowledge and all the tools and basic parts you could ask for.

picassochis: Great experience, what an asset they are to the bike community! I got my first bike and had it looked over at the shop. Very knowledgable and helpful staff. I learned a lot in the process, bought some well-priced supplies, and was given additional trail and biking info. I feel a lot more prepared. Thanks for all you do, will be back again!

Yeh Warren: I and my son went there with broken pedals and tube. Staff is so friendly and helpful. We found what we need with very reasonable price. I have no problem at all to go in with mask on my face. Volunteer are seniors and definitely need more protection.

Michael (IG mike.slikes): Support LOCAL business

Thomas Borreson: , but there's some real gems that pop up. For example, I picked up a lovely 50-year old 3-speed roadster there for $300, and it's rapidly become my favourite bike that I've ever owned. It's not exactly the sort of bike that easy to find in Edmonton where so many bike dealers favour mountain bikes and road bikes. Also, I appreciate that they're not just taking the careless approach to COVID to appease the feral numpties. It would be nice if it were easier to get an appointment, but I understand their staff are limited and there's a lot of people who rely upon them.

Scott Rollans: . Its operating hours are limited, and those onsite can't always jump to the phone every time it rings. And, you can't expect them to always have the specific part you need

Matthew Boonstra: The volunteer, who is the manager for this location, was very friendly and helpful. She talked me through everything she did with my bike so that I could learn a bit, and stay engaged with what was going on. Even though she worked on my bike for the full half hour and had to close for the night afterwards, she had me go for a small test ride to make sure that everything was fixed. I'll definitely get a membership and go back next time my bike needs work, and I highly recommend Bike Edmonton to anyone who has a bike.

redbike: what do users think?

Darryl Sparling: I've purchased a bike from three LBS in Edmonton, with my most recent purchase being from Red Bike. I must say, their custom and bike service are second to none, and they are every bit as great a shop as anyone else in town.I wouldn't hesitate recommending Red Bike to anyone in the market for a new bike.

Jamie&Trina Molnar: The staff at Redbike were amazing and very helpful. I bought a new bike and they installed the pedals and did a quick fitting for me. I was in a bit of a hurry so they said bring it back and they will do a proper fitting.

Teddy Medvedev: I went in, I told them I needed my handle bars to be fixed and they fixed it straight away for free! Great service, nice people highly recommend!

HK45: One of the better bike shops in Edmonton. Need to be careful when getting repairs done, to make sure they replaced the parts with what you asked for.

Mishu K: Quick service for flats.

Jody Horvath: Highly recommend!Had the absolute best experience - they are experts! There was no pressure when I was trying to find the right bike for me - the experience was so good I didnt bother going to comparison shop anywhere else. I'm 100% confident that I got the best bike from the best team.

brandon taylor: Best experience iv had in long time

Adrian brunette: Redbike is great. The staff for the most part is pretty helpful, and they have an excellent selection. I had a bit of an irritating situation with them refusing to sell me a bike during the pandemic, but that was a strange time and I don't hold it against them.

Kristian Rasmussen: Recently purchased my Breezer Radar bikepacking setup from the team at Redbike. The professionalism, knowledge and pure passion for cycling are the factors that make Redbike my go to shop. I would give six stars if I could!

Danielle Lafrance: Mason was super helpful!

Rohann Robertson: Spoke to sales staff on the phone before placing my online order for a bike frame - perfect service!

William Merrick: I brought in my gt aggressor expecting after quoting $150. When I picked it up it cost $80. The bike was trashed when I bought it used and it feels like a brand new bike now!!

William Haidar: The staff is SUPER helpful and kind. If you want a bike or bike part, they probably have it. Prices are very reasonable too. The look and ambiance of the bike shop is something of it's own. Always nice to visit.

Ian Quigley: This is a shop with not just deep love and experience for bikes but also heart and soul for the customer. A rare and valuable combination if you also love and want to experience bikes.

Nate N: Did an online order for a BB tool, quick easy pickup from the location.

Normaal Bike Shop (formerly it's a two-wheeled world): what do users think?

Jenni-Mai Smalley: We bike all the time and I purchased my beautiful Dutch bike in the spring and have really enjoyed it since. Very comfortable. Easy commuter bike. Simple to lock up. Looks gorgeous. We have taken a few of our other bikes to be serviced at their shop. Always friendly, quick and reasonable.

Brandon Chow: and additional bike accessories.

Thomas Borreson: I brought in a 50 year old bike that was made in what used to be West Germany, looking for a rear rack and a headlamp which would match its aesthetic. They found me ideal options for both and installed them on the spot. I also picked up a great Clarijs waterproof pannier.Their bike selection is at this point limited to reconditioned steel-frame Dutch bikes, especially "Omafliets" step throughs, but that definitely fills what was a big gap in Edmonton's bike market. So many places limit their selection to either mountain bikes or high end road bikes, and neglect bicycles that are comfortable, low-maintenance and practical for the stop and go nature of urban cycling. It's also nice to see more bike shops that are actually located in places that you can bike to, rather than curiously choosing to locate in suburban strip malls.

Kelly Summers: , as well as frame locks that

Bike Edmonton Downtown Community Workshop: what do users think?

Peggy Duiker: This place is amazing I feel Ken went above and beyond to make sure my grandson had a bike at my house. Adam sold mea bike carrier that i had been looking for, but couldnt afford.Ifeel so lucky to have found this business

Stephen McILwraith: I'd give 6 stars if I could. Friendly knowledgeable staff that teach you if you're a rookie like me and very fair prices.

Shawn Ang: Brought my bike in for a brake tune up. They have the best volunteers and peeps to teach u how to.Had extra time so they said why not clean your chain up.Ended buying a kids bike for my little one to use.Fair price and great people.Do make an appointment to secure a spot to do your stuff

Chris McGale: I needed to change my seat but didn't have the proper Allen key. They helped me with the tools. Great service. I plan on going back with tip money as everything was free.

Amy: .I tried calling Bike Edmonton Community Workshop, but didn't get an answer, so out of desperation, I decided to show up in person, and I'm ***so*** happy that I did. When I arrived, there was even another girl there getting help with her scooter!Even after admitting that they aren't experts in scooters, they didn't hesitate to help me.After missing my call, the shop manager even called me back within 15 minutes. What business calls back random missed calls? Amazing service. Shout out to both Greg and Larry. I cannot recommend this place enough. This place is run by volunteers and I swear they all helped and offered advice for fixing my scooter. They were all patient and kind, and willing to basically experiment until it was fixed. I honestly don't know what I would have done if they hadn't helped me.I did miss it when I drove past the first time, so I've attached a photo for reference.

Anas E: Everyone is talking highly about Bike Edmonton, the volunteers, the staff especially Larry. We went there today and experienced what everyone is talking about. We signed up for the membership and definitely will be going there more.

P.G. Reitsma: A very friendly and helpful vibe there. My first time in this location and I'll definitely be back.

Kukay Richie: I rebuilt an old road bike donated by my neighbour!Shoutout to Edwardo!

Dalila Villalobos: 2. The space is great! You can go there and find your new bike or if you know about bikes, you can get the pieces you may need.3. Prices are friendly. They have a membership benefits option and they are student budget- friendly as well!4. They have all-things-bikes!! City maps and bike registration tags to protect your bike.Definitely 5 stars for this place! I am looking forward to going to one of their workshops too and will recommend this place to anyone that needs to tune their bikes!

Alex Bachinsky: I am a struggling woman who doesn't have a lot of money. I went to bike Edmonton and a gentleman by the name of Ken and his co worker Kenny helped me at a discounted rate fix my bike. I am very grateful for the help and understanding of my situation. If anyone ever needs there bikes fixed fast, at a good price and with every detail and explanation out on the table I would recommend these guys.

RzRshRp 709: Today was my third time coming to the shop to do some work, and even though I came in for a DIY appointment, each time at least one of the staff members have helped me out and done things for me showing me how to do them like putting on a rear gearset or how to replace a bottom bracket. Alex, Larry, and Ken have all been a massive help to me, teaching me how to do things, and leaving me to my own devices in the rare chance that I happen to know what I'm doing, but still come over to check if everything is going smoothly and if I need any advice. They have a huge wall of nearly every used part you could ever need, from bottom brackets to friction shifters and everything in between. This is the only place I'll ever recommend to anybody that needs work done on their bike, simply because they'll teach you how to do the work yourself with the proper tools, or you can pay them a little bit more to do it for you, it's only $38 for a half hour service, and they do as much work as physically possible in that half hour. I haven't tried that yet so I don't know how much they can get done in a half hour, but even still a basic service at a retail bike shop I looked at would cost $150 minimum, not including parts, tax, or any hidden fees that may pop up, you could book 3 half hour appointments and a 15 minute one for less than the cost of the basic service at a bike shop.

Pepijn Heij: Just went here to fix my chain and the volunteers were supper friendly and helped me a lot along the process of replacing my chain.

Kayleen F: Great service!I came in for a just a couple of screws to fix my bike, and they were so helpful to find the right ones.

Chaminda Somathilaka: This is wonderful place to get you bike fixed. They have new and used parts for reasonable pricing.I went their to get my rear wheel repaired. Since I'm new to bike repairing, a volunteer helped with mine. He was super helpful, he explained me each step and each part. He found exact fitting used parts to replace my axel and cones and fixed the hub. I'm hoping to study more about bike repairing so that I can go DIY tune my bike next time.

Kevin Osicki: Absolute treasure for the city. Have been a few times and staff have been incredibly helpful and kind. Parts selection is pretty good and pricing is incredibly fair. The good people keeping it going are keeping cycling accessible and affordable for our community. Highly recommended to visit or support.

Canadian Tire: what do users think?

Ali N Chak: Excellent return and exchange customer service! Smooth, quick, and easy process ! Thank you

Tim Chu: One of the best place to walk and shop. This Canadian Tire is very different to others. There is plenty of space between isles and shelves. High ceiling, bright lights, and clean floor are some to highlight at this one.

Steve: This is a really big Canadian Tire and it's super busy on the weekend. I was able to find a parking spot but getting in and out of there is a little bit of a pickle. Other than that they have lots of stuff and tons of staff.

Henk ten Wolde: Bought a bicycle for a good price

W Joseph: Biggest Canadian Tire I have been to, selection is so wide yet we were able to find what we need, very modern and pleasant to shop.

Jeffrey Murphy: Had a really great experience with the customer service here. Two employees really went out of their ways and helped me to find a canister of camp stove fuel that appeared to be out of stock. One was hiding on a high shelf and they hauled out a ladder to get it for me.Also loved the Lego sculptures including the life sized hockey player on display.

Revolution Cycle: what do users think?

Patrick Whittleton: from the Sherwood Park store. Customer service was fantastic - my bike was ready to go and the rep walked me through the details of my new e-bike. Needless to say I love this bike - it’s an amazing beast into a strong headwind and makes me feel like a youngster on hills and steep grades. This is my second bike from Revolution Cycle and my first from their Sherwood Park store. If you want quality and service that = excellence this is the place for you.

Erik deJong: Had a great experience. Salesperson was friendly and not pushy. Helped us find something that worked well for us.

John Fallon: Amber was ex excellent

Devon Phillips: Also very thankful that they registered our new purchase bikes on BikeIndex. My son’s bike was stolen and recovered only 2 days later thanks to the registration and EPS.

Surgical Steel: Always friendly and courteous. Always have the small parts I'm looking for and have a great selection of bikes and parts for all bike types.Purchased a cruiser for the wife, kid trailer parts, and several small parts for my bikes over the years and they are always very professional.

Omar Ortiz: If you need a bicycle. This is the right place to find it. The staff is the best either parts or service and even better sales.

John McFarlane: I’m very new to mountain biking. I was referred to Revolution Cycle by a friend and I’m really glad I went in. I was helped by Jeff, who took a lot of time to go through different bike options tailored to my price point and skill level, as well as the safety accessories and other needs. He provided some basic instruction on routine maintenance and made sure all my questions were answered before I left. I felt very looked after and will certainly be back for any bike needs I will have in the future.

michael s: Always helpful and honest

Mikida Bong: on my bicycle. Truly appreciate all your help and excellent customer service.August 5, 2022 I walked into the REVOLUTION CYCLE shop with my bicycle, Ben greeted me n led me to where the repair area was. He pumped up my bicycle and taught me how to use my new stand pump. I asked for the bicycle basket, he showed me which bicycle basket fits my bicycle. I was amazed as he knows what he is doing. I never thought any basket would fit my bicycle coz of the big wheel. Before going to Revolution I did go to a bicycle store on the south side and they couldn’t find a bicycle basket that fit my bicycle. I m glad that Ben of Revolution got me a basket that fit my bicycle. His co worker told me Ben is very experienced as he has been doing this job for 25 yrs. Then he showed me the folding bicycle and mountain bicycle. He informed me to go on the website to join events that I might be interested. All the staff there are very friendly and smiling , one of them even opened the door when I left with my bicycle. They make me feel welcome and at home there. I will be their forever customer

Kristyn Power: Fantastic service, great bike and accessory selection.

Ten Rain: Wasn't the greatest at explaining what was wrong with my bike, but the staff were all great, quick and friendly!

Chris Vilcsak: Stopped to get a repair completed on my daughter's bike - tire had bulged out - and Mike did a great job, new tire, in and out in just over 25 minutes I think - very happy with the fix and the service. Highly recommend!

EBike Edmonton: what do users think?

Norman MacDonald: Magicians, a simple fix . Bless them, no charge.

Mark Wilson: Amazing service! One of the only places in town that will work on Rad Power Bikes. They quickly diagnosed the problem with my bike and had me back on the road the same day. Helpful, friendly staff, and a large selection of new bikes and useful accessories. Great experience.

Rick Fowler: Absolutely loved the service. Will definitely recommend to others.

Doug Troock: I was very impressed with my first visit to Ebike Edmonton. They seem to have a very committed service department.

NS Kokott: I was very impressed with the service I got from the people at Ebike. I went in for the first time last week, and even though it was clear at the outset that I wouldn't be buying anything, they were more than willing to take the time to listen to what I needed, and help out.I didn't spend any money this time, but as a result of the service I got, Ebike is certainly a place I will go back to.

Terry Horning: Very good efficient service from first inquiry call to dropping off bike and job completion !

Riley Dawson: Visited Ebike Edmonton the other week after snapping the kickstand on my bike. I had been to two other bike shops in town but neither carried a kickstand that could support the weight of a fat tire ebike, and the latter sent me here. Not only were they able to immediately provide a replacement without ordering, they also did so without charging me for the installation. The team was exceedingly friendly and able to answer all my questions about maintenance, etc. They'll definitely be my first choice next time I need help with my bike.P.S. If you're considering getting an ebike in the first place, I absolutely recommend it. I've put on 400km in under 2 months already.

Darren Ogier: Great service and ashton was awesome and quick thanks guys appreciate fixing on short notice will definitely be back in future

Go Der: Stopped there for a small repair on my ebike and they were able to help me right away. Great service!

Cycle-Logic: what do users think?

Pierre Grenier: , I could never have imagined how fortunate I would be to discover Edmonton-based Cycle‑Logic, owned and operated by founder Rich Schafenacker. Cycle-logic’s national reputation for unparalleled expertise and customer service is all about Rich, a formidable athlete in his own right but moreover an unbelievably great guy who knows absolutely everything you need to know about bikes and cycling. I recently took delivery of this amazing bike, which is providing so much pleasure to ride. Thank you Rich and your awesome colleague Mike for assuring such an incredible all-around experience. PG from Montreal.

Bernie LJ H: Best bike shop in the city !!!

Lucien Huang: Professional bike shop! You can get the top level of bike.

Jody Barrigan: Fantastic bike shop. The owners really care and made me feel welcomed. I have a trek commuter bike and they fixed up an issue in minutes for me. Thanks Rich!

Zander Affleck: Incredible Bike store! Rich is extremely knowledgable with cycling, triathlon and equipment. As a first time Iron man athlete I went to the show to ask about options for fitting my road bike for riding triathlon. Rich has extensive knowledge of different courses and triathlon specific bike fitting. He offers an amazing service in performing longitudinal bike fitting sessions to help an athlete drop into a more aero position as they improve riding technique. The prices are VERY reasonable and cheaper than many competitors even though the quality is top notch. Very kind staff and overall a great place for parts, a fitting, or a tune up.

Cindy Kachmar: We brought an older bike in to Cycle Logic, not sure if it would be worthy of repair and refurbishment. Rich kindly spent time with us, and checked the bike over thoroughly. He put in many hours working on the brakes, cables, chain, etc. to bring it up to speed. It looked like new when he was done. We are very happy with Rich's knowledge and incredible work ethic. He kept the cost within our budget, and returned a bike with many more road hours on it. Thank you, Rich. We will recommend Cycle Logic to our biking friends.

Daniel Longworth: Rich and Mike are a treasure to the community. I couldnt imagine taking my bike for service, or making my next purchase anywhere else. If you want your next road bike to be everything you want, goto Rich and Mike

Ojaswi Dhoubhadel: I recommend anyone looking for a bike shop drop by this place! I’ll definitely visit the shop when I’m back in Edmonton again

Devan Larkin: Rich and Mike surveyed my bike for me and provided a solution to my problem within minutes. Additionally they provided some extra insight on the history of my bike and recommendations on how to care for it.You can tell they easily care about both the shop and it’s customers. Would highly recommend this local shop to anyone who is new or experienced with bicycles. Cheers!

Dylan Heraid: Didn't go in there for bikes but went in there with my little sister for some shade from the heat while waiting for the bus they were very hospitable and welcoming, and even went as far to get my sister more water, very nice business, run by very nice people.

L Holden: Where to start? You walk in and are greeted a shop that only puts a smile on one's face. A bike shop for connoisseurs. The staff always friendly, considering how many likely visits they get, they're always approachable to walk ins. This is not the type of bike shop that feels like a car dealership like those shops across the road, this is a relationship type of place. Reminding me of the shops I frequented in my youth in places far away; the type of relationships that are now hard to find.My relationship with this shop started about 2005 where I took my first road bike in for some adjustments... I was in university, they worked on making me fit the bike and build me a new set of wheels. Over the years I had lost touch with them due to living in a different part of town. I started visiting them again, their level of care, expertise, love of the bicycle, a bespoke relationship between two entities, with one love, the bicycle. They sell some of the nicest and most beautiful machines in the city, provide the type of expertise only years of passion, experience, practice, and care for the client can produce.I definitely recommend 9th Street CycleLogic.

Pranav Nandiwada: Fantastic service. Rich is a fantastic individual and extremely knowledgeable in all thing bicycles. He provides expert advice in fitting your bicycle to you. He takes his time in explaining options and the pros and cons and it never feels like he’s rushing.

M S: and budget. Due to the COVID pandemic he ended up scouring the market sourcing parts from multiple sources to get me exactly what I wanted. To say that I am thrilled with the result is an understatement. It's the first road bike that truly fits me and was comfortable from day one.I was anxious going into the bike build process but Rich quickly put me at ease with his wealth of knowledge and experience and his approachability. If you're in the market for new bike, whether custom or off the shelf, I highly recommend Rich and 9th Street Cycle-Logic.

CY Mora: I brought my cruise bike to Cycle Logic to have it assembled. Richard was very helpful and he's certainly an expert in the field. I couldn't have had my bike assembled by myself. Great service. Highly recommended. Many thanks!
