Globosapiens Used Bookstore: what do users think?

Samizdat Broadcasts: One of the better used book stores I've seen. Perhaps the most economical use of space I've ever seen in a used bookstore.

Joshua Bruins: Really friendly staff, great used book selection

Christina Norris: She's awesome! Honest too, I accidentally over paid and she called me to let me know! Definitely will be going back for my book needs!

Corey Mcgimpsey: Super nice Boss Lady and fair prices

A.Kathleen Sanders: In August, 2020x I emailed several second hand bookshops looking for a particular. I didn’t hear back from most of them and gave up as a lost cause.Well this March, the owner, Cathy called me to tel me that book had come in. Apparently she is very passionate about finding books for people. She has everything entered on this incredible document and remembers when people are looking for books, so can pull up their info when/if she comes across it. Just incredible service. Would give 10 stars if I could!

Don Thompson: Great owner.Large selection of books.Clean and organized.

Stephan: Great selection of books and the lady running it was extremely helpful.

Sean Dexter (MADCARS): Great little bookstore. Staff was great.

mary iver: An enriching used bookstore experience. Read some other negative reviews about the owner, I disagree; she is establishing a conversation which in all the public places to do so, a book store should be one to be the most inquisitive and should inquire about what inspires or interests you. Gave me some great recommendations at a great price! This book store is also very supportive to local authors.

Laura Patton: Fantastic! We did the book advent calendar for our two youngest kids, emailed their ages and interests and in a matter of hours had an amazing collection of books for each of them! My kids are so excited to open their books each day!

Chantelle Reid: It was our first visit to Globosapiens and I Iove this bookstore! Although a smaller footprint, it is very well stocked and organized. The store owner is very friendly and helpful. Just be advised it is cash only, no debit or credit card.

Syndi: and when they get it they will contact you. The owner is wonderful. I would go everyday if I could

Burton Lysecki Books: what do users think?

Parris Filbert: Only open 11am to 3pm Saturdays from now on!

Kai Bear: I purchased a book from here internationally via biblio - I was very happy with the purchase. Well packaged book, and the communication directly from the store was excellent.

Ken Peters: A wide selection in many categories of books. I've found some gems here.

Lorraine Lafferty: Winnipeg staple full of lots of charm and a great selection of quality books. They don't just take in any old book people want to get rid of and it shows in their selection. Constant flow of books means every time you visit you find something new. Owners are very helpful and want to sell you books that are right for your needs and not just the most expensive copy they have.

Marjorie Hanowski: An extensive range of books of every genre

Peter Heinrichs: If they made me up a cot in the corner I'd stay indefinitely. This is a wonderful bookstore with a wide selection of reasonably priced books. Books, that cornerstone of the thinking life.

Ian Harrison: I loved this place because of they had a great selection of Canadian authors. I spent almost 2 hours looking through their books. Some of the books older books are 20-40 dollars, but they are in great condition and they are usually beautiful books. Additionally, they had cheaper paperback versions of those same books if you don't want to spend more.

Jeanne Lodge: Wonderful selection of new and used books.....helpful staff

Lorraine James: I rarely patronize this bookstore, but the night I attended, there was poetry reading. Yes, I indulged in listening to some poetry! Twas delightful. Had drinks with the poets afterwards, but the atmosphere was comfortable and effervescent.

Logan A. Lesage: What a precious amazing library!

Fiona Anthes: A great little bookstore that punches above its weight! I’ve bought adult fiction, children’s books, journals, and some used gems here. They’ve also ordered in titles that they didn’t have in stock for me, so they’ve never let me down.

MD C: I have had the pleasure of visiting this bookstore twice and have had excellent experiences both times. The staff members I spoke with were very knowledgeable and helpful. I also love their wrapped books that you get to pick blindly based on their descriptions. Both of my picks ended up being great books I might not have picked up on my own. Definitely will be back again.

Kenny B: It's a great place to buy new books and a fun place to find old editions of books as well.Every staff member I have dealt with has been great.

Fred O'Brien: Nice, cosy little bookshop. Lots of mystery books, both new and used, and a whole lot of othed genres as well. The staff were helpful and kind, overall a wonderful little store.

Cindy Curry: . I left with a bag full!! This is my new favourite bookstore and will be stopping each time I am in the city from now on.

M Prins: Super friendly staff, loads of used books and fun new books. Found more than we were looking for! Quaint neighbourhood, too!

Red River Book Store: what do users think?

Remi DuBois: Great place for comics and dvds collectors to visit, and they usually have great prices

Laura Letinsky: Great places stuffed full of amazing selectiin

Amaryce Cousins: This place was packed but well organized. Even comics! Parking was easy, but it isn't handicapped accessible.

Navjit Singh: Amazing people and a great place to hunt for the books you need

Annie: Quite possibly my favourite place in the city. Hard to believe places like this still exist. So filled with charm and character, not to mention shockingly well organized, and with great customer service. A must-visit in my books. Great prices too!

Ashley Gay: Every kind of book can be found.

R W: Lots of books, comics, cds, dvds, vinyl some collectibles etc. If you love sorting and searching through piles of stuff this is the place for you. Some junk but lots of good stuff. Marginally organized -you will have to love treasure hunting. The guys are willing to bargain if you are reasonable. Long time owner and establishment that gives good memories of when downtown was thriving with other record shops and retail. One of the originals still somehow in business decades later.

Andrew Chapman: and my last visit in town I picked up 11 new books at about $6 each average.

moosefactorymullet: Legendary, super cool. “The Last of the Independents”

thomas oss: My kinda place, a dusty conglomeration of the good bad and the ugly. Presented in the kind of rickety chaos that needs hours to explore...

Rebecca Tweed: I dont normally shop on this end of the city but found myself in the area for some other errands. Being the closest secondhand bookstore to my location I ventured there to attempt to find a specific book series from the late 90s fully expecting to need to go to multiple stores. I did not have high hopes of finding any books from the series, let alone 2 that my son does not have already.Very organized, great condition of books and prices. The person working was absolutely amazing and a wonderful help to me finding my sons birthday present and suggested some other options to make sure I was 100% happy with my purchase. Would definitely recommend and even go back if I find myself in the area again!

Jacquie Roznowsky: Friendly and good prices

KL Sosiak: They have a large selection of used books ,neat and organized

fred flintstone: i discovered this store by accident, was thrilled that he had some vintage postcards. i did browse the books and could spend days going through it all if i had time. i am so glad they moved here. will definitely return and purchase.

Reid Kachmar: Great service, lots of selection and the prices are very reasonable.

Evolution Hvac Services: Very happy with the sales staff , selection and overall value .Please don’t mistake my words . When I encounter good people/sales people and the selection, then that right there creates “value” more than the “price tag “ alone .Here I found true value amongst others that seemed to also have values .Very happy .I intend to make my next trip here tomorrow or Tuesday .
