Heino Grenz: Classes are entertaining, well instructed by Leo and the rest of the crew. It's never a boring evening at this place. I highly recommend this for anyone not sure what to do for date night or in general. Take your coworkers or friends along, you'll have a blast.

Dean Lorenzo: I’ve been coming here for drop-in lessons for a while now. The Instructors are friendly, and the classes are top shelf for beginners and intermediate dancers alike. Remember to bring indoor shoes to the dance studio when you come for a lesson and be ready to dance your pants off. Respectfully of course.
Alex Boyechko: This studio is amazing. The teachers are great! They have a passion for what they teach. Classes are broken into beginner and intermediate/advanced so no matter what level you are they have something for you. Everything is broken down as well and they make it easy to learn. I highly recommend this studio if you want to learn how to dance.

M Lamont: I've been dancing at Salsa Explosion for almost two years and have to say it's the best Latin dance school I have ever been too! They make you feel so welcome and make it so fun for everyone from beginner to advanced. They also have amazing kids classes of all ages, I would highly recommend to anyone, kids, parents, couples and singles just looking to learn and have fun! They also put on great social events perfect for a night out!

Cassidy Roberts: When we came to Shirley for our wedding dance, we both had two left feet. My goal was to learn how to sway nicely together, but Shirley had bigger plans for us. Within 1.5 months she had a whole routine for us and it looked FANTASTIC. Not only did our first dance look beautiful and keep guests entertained, the dance lessons gave us an excuse to be together for an hour at a time dancing together which was really special. Shirley was the absolute sweetest and we can’t wait to surprise her with a video of our first dance!

Jeannine Regnier: Shirley’s Dance StudioWe had Shirley teach us how to Fox Trot for our first dance! We are not dancers by any means but she made us look pretty amazing! She made the dance romantic and playful with a couple of crowd pleasing bits, our guests were cheering us on the whole way through! The price is definitely right and it was very therapeutic to go out and dance a couple times a week with your honey. We actually will continue to take dance lessons as a fun date night from now on!
Jennifer Vo: We took private lessons with Shirley in anticipation of our upcoming wedding. We let Shirley know our wedding song and she came up with full choreography for the entire song for us. She was very patient and helped ease our nerves as we had never danced before. She made the whole experience so fun and enjoyable. The location has four separate spaces to dance and lots of parking available. We are so excited with our final product and can't wait to show it off to our family. Thank you so much Shirley for making us look beautiful together for our wedding day!

Because only then was I shown how amazing this dance studio is.Some of these comments are hilarious. Getting mad about paying for pictures or recital tickets - guess what, nothing in life is free and you pay for quality. Every studio charges for recitals unless you are registered with a bundy cheap dance studio that doesn't even teach your child how to dance. And don't want to pay for dance pics - no one forces you too. That's your choice to take a cheap pic with your phone and frame that.The staff are and always have been welcoming 24/7 from day one. Patient, knowledgable and welcoming always. They have made our entire family feel like their extended family since the minute we registered.I am so happy my daughter dances at LA Dance. They continue to inspire her and encourage her to reach her dreams. Any one who honestly has a bad comment or vibe about LA Dance Academy needs to re-evaluate themselves!!! Much love...
Dance: I've seen some of the negative posts and I'm just baffled because my family LOVES this studio! If you click on those who have negatively reviewed it however i'm not surprised as they seem to have a bad review on every place they've ever been to...Anways!... We just finished my daughters photo day and the amazing staff made the day so special and the photo process is very easy and smooth. They never pressure you to buy photos and its so nice to have this as an optional add on because I would never have time to do this on my own! We love that their front desk staff is available at all times to answer our questions and they are always so welcoming. The instructors are also so friendly and are so great with the kids! We've been to a few dance studios and this one is by far the best one!

Gregory Dube: Just a clean, refreshing newly built studio with nice wooden bleacher seating for the parents to watch their dancer. My 5 year old daughter attends mini dance camp and the instructor seems fully capable showing a constant glow that keeps the kids engaged.

Although from what I hear this dance studio is the Bomb too so...I stand by this review for Sterling Lyon too!!
Andre Buisse: Great dance school! Have tried a few others but my 3 girls just love it hear. The teaching staff is energetic, friendly and talented. Only thing worth nothing is that the classes can be large, especially the invitationals. Despite that, my girls love it!

Taylor Ewatski: I am so excited to be returning to Shelley Shearer this fall! This studio is an amazing family oriented community that provides excellent dance instruction to their students. The knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for dance is evident among all faculty members. In my previous years here I have been given the great opportunity to be a part of their Invitational Musical Theatre Program which led me to compete in local dance competitions such as Thunderstruck Dance Canada, Canadian National Dance Championships, and Manitoba Dance Festival. As well as part of their year-end recitals. Dancing in Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, you name it! There are classes for everyone all the way from 2 to Adult! I have made many great memories here, and been taught many valuable life lessons. I can’t wait to return and make many more! I highly recommend!

Natasha Osawa: I love this studio and would highly recommend to ANYONE because they offer such a variety of levels and styles and are so inclusive that anyone could find a class that’s a good fit here! A truly supportive environment which can be hard to find in the dance world. Also one of the few options in the city for adults! If you don’t see the style you want on the schedule, the owner is so responsive requests and feedback. Would highly recommend!

Kaitlyn Peterson: I love dancing here! It’s so nice to have the option to take intermediate/advanced level dance classes as most studios only offer beginner programs for adults. I love that there’s a variety of classes and programs offered, including some for kids! The instructors are amazing and make you feel so comfortable and welcome, no matter how much dance experience you have. I would recommend this studio to anyone!

Programs felt like a drop in class and you didn’t learn technique either and I can tell some teachers favour certain students and always pick the same ones for their video.. I understand wanting to make your instagram look good but that’s not very welcoming for the phrase “dance is a community” or “everyone’s welcome” also I hear some teachers gossiping at the front/common area so please be mindful on maintaining your professionalism. Owner can be quite passive/aggressive “If I don’t record you just know I wouldn’t embrass you” c’mon lol!!! Overall, I would still encourage people to try this place there’s just a few tweaks they can work on :

Chloe Rose: Both me and my brother have danced here. Ms. Shum is smart, experienced and an outstanding ballet teacher. I highly recommend this studio for dancers of all ages and abilities.
Dana Feal: The teachers at Institute work with each and every student to set them up to succeed. They identify students' strengths and choreograph to fit the individual personalities of the students. The teachers go far beyond the time of the classes to assist with practicing and preparing for competitions. The teachers are great - the expertise of Bernadette and Megan are especially valued and awarding-winning Christabel inspires the students to perform to their best.
Ming-Ka Chan: Our family has been part of this community of dance since 2007. The diversity and creativity has been fabulous; most importantly, the dancers learn, stay fit and have fun. Thanks to all the teachers, choreographers, costume designers for all that you do !
Lisa Campbell: Both of my children attend this dance studio and take a variety of classes. All of the teachers are knowledgeable, dedicated, and enthusiastic. I would recommend this studio to any parents whose children are interested in dance.

Teacher’s were so fun and friendly. This dance school is not only for little girls, but for little boys too!
