Super 8 by Wyndham Winnipeg West: what do users think?

K M: Best hotel I've ever stayed at. Room was so clean and welcoming, staff were delightful and helpful. Denise was exceptionally wonderful and helped me out when I had car trouble and had to stay an extra night. Plus, the slushies are awesome. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe staying here. I will definitely be back anytime I am passing through.

Edward M: Way better than other Super 8s I've stayed at. Newly renovated, clean, and comfortable. Friendly staff, and welcoming for my dogs with a little treat bag. Delicious grab and go breakfast! They've got games too, although I don't think they were available during covid. Fitness centre is big and we'll equipped, with equipment in great shape. Hot tub!

Sharon Hamilton: My husband and I stayed in a kitchenette suite for four days in July and next time we come to Winnipeg we will stay here again. This is a fabulous hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful and hard-working. Everything is clean: the room, the stairways, the hallways, the fitness centre, the laundry room. They provide free 24 hour coffee and tea, slushies all day, and lemon water in the afternoon. The 4-hour breakfast has lots of variety and they use washable dishes with very little plastic waste. Even the yogurt comes in a dispenser. The room was compact but well designed so there was lots of space--and shampoo etc dispensers in the bathroom instead of little bottles. Having two sinks and a full size fridge was great. The fitness centre has a lot of different machines, including weight machines. The hot tub was big and worked well. Our room faced the #1 Highway so with the window open it was pretty loud, but with the window closed it was fine. The air conditioning worked well. My only suggestion is to put a sign in the laundry room to say how long the washer and dryer take to run their cycle so you know when to come back. They don't do housekeeping unless you ask for it, but they did check to see if we needed anything. The whole atmosphere is cheerful, friendly, and welcoming. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could.Safety: The hotel and area felt very safe.Walkability: Lots of restaurants and a mall within walking distance. Easy to drive to anywhere because you're on the main Street through a Winnipeg. You can walk to the Assiniboine River through a nice neighborhood south of the hotel.

PAMELA RUTHERFORD: . We stayed in a pet friendly room and the staff was great with our fur babies as well. All in all, an excellent experience.Walkability: The hotel is convenientlyclose to many stores and restaurants

Daniel Jolic: Location is good right off the Trans Canada Highway. The rooms were comfortable and clean. However, it hard to lug the bags up and down the stairs due to lack of elevator. Also, the continental breakfast was not the best - no eggs/meat/potatoes. Overall, it was decent.

Kate Reid: Room was very clean, all the staff very helpful, and pleasantly surprised by the variety of offerings at breakfastWalkability: Grocery and restaurant within very short distance, as well as public transitNoteworthy details: The room fridge and microwave are larger and better quality than expected

Chad L: This place exceeded our expectations. The rooms are spacious and clean for the most part other than some questionable areas but the bathroom is clean. The pool area is awesome. Really nice Ficus trees that have grown huge from the nice natural light that give it a neat atmosphere. The pool and hot tub are perfect temperatures and there’s a neat sitting area to hang out at as well. The evening Manager on duty was very accommodating and hospitable. It ain’t no 5 star hotel but the price is right for a decent place.

Darcy Franko: Great place to stay. Always enjoy our time at this hotel. Great friendly staff, awesome poolside area and a great selection of different types of rooms to suite your needs.Rooms: I really like the poolside rooms with 2 entrance ways and they have a variety of different room including Roomy Hot tub suites.

Frank O: When my wife first walked in to book our room she was met by friendly staff and offered a latte by the hotel manager followed by a friendly comment. I was a little concerned about noise from a room next to the pool but pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. Clean and comfortable. Basic breakfast in the morning to carry on after a comfortable sleep.

Murray Gammon: Nearby activities: Supermarket close by close to a large mall.Food & drinks: Good breakfast waffles coffee juice .Noteworthy details: Nice pool area to visit swim have a meal at table s chairs .

Best Western Plus Pembina Inn & Suites: what do users think?

Donna Williamson: One of the best I've stayed in 10 + yrs in Winnipeg for overall experience. We didn't use the breakfast as we missed it or the pool this time. The location is not to far it's quite central to where we travel. Portage/polo/downtown, Sterling/outlet, st.marys/st.vital.I loved the shower as it had pressure it's a first of many I have stayed at. Most dreaded when traveling is a proper shower. We try to stay at least a variety of hotels within reason with kids and pets. This 1 covers most items.I did read they have issues seasonal with fish flies, but we were fortunate to not be there during that. It is along the river, which was nice. I noticed they have someone monitoring their security, so that was a relief as well. Our room was on the small but manageable double bed room. Beds were getting worn but not unusual in hotels. I'd love to see there larger rooms next time.Housekeeping was good no concerns.Only dislike was the rugs in the dog zone rooms, which was a great add. It was it's own section with closed door and air purifiers running nonstop. They had an enclosed dog park. You can definitely tell the owners and staff take much pride in their services/faculty. Thank you.

Andrew Pokolinski: I did not give five stars only because of the poor parking. Twice after arriving after 8pm after visiting there were limited parking spaces available and the ones that were, were so narrow that if I parked in them I could not open the doors of my vehicle to get out. There were oversize vehicles as well as cube vans taking up a lot of the available parking. This is an issue that should be controlled by the hotel

Junior denBrok: I have friends from Germany staying at this property so far they are happyThey did have a problem with a damp musty room on their floor! They ask to be moved and the hotel did move them to a higher floor!Rooms: Do not stay on the lower levelDamp and musty floor

B R: but still clean and comfortable. All the staff were very polite and pleasant and the complimentary breakfast

Super 8 by Wyndham Winnipeg East MB: what do users think?

Sandi McLaren: Super 8 is always consistently great for us. We book a pet friendly room on the main level. It's always spotless with crisp linens. Staff have accommodated requests from us over our numerous stays with ease. Pool area is stocked with tons of water toys for the kids and lots of pool towels. Breakfast is solidly good but a menu change would be nice when staying 4 or 5 days. The 'slurpee' machine serving lemonade slushes was a nice after dinner summer time treat this visit

Heidi Halwa: We booked here while traveling through from Ontario to Alberta. The last time I stayed at a Super 8 hotel was years ago and it was mediocre at best. I must say, I was completely blown away by how nice this hotel was. Not to mention it is pet friendly and has very reasonable pet fees unlike some other hotels. This hotel was nicer than a lot of hotels I have stayed at in recent months/years. Rooms are nice, clean and spacious, continental was better than most, and staff was very friendly. Will definitely stay here again if ever passing through Winnipeg!

Roger Cox: Very convenient location right by the Yellowhead Hwy. Made for a quick trip in the morning when we were driving across Canada. The customer service was exceptional as well! They had a treasure box that our son was able to pick a prize from. When it broke because of rough playing after the first night, they let him pick 2 more items to make him feel better. Rooms were very clean - highly recommended!

Tania Kohl: Well I’m not sure why this has only a 2 star. Should be 3 or 4 for sure.Brand new, spacious gorgeous rooms, beautiful lobby, front of hotel and sitting area. There is a back patio with a pergola and lights and a field for your pet to run. There is a Hottub and pool, excellent breakfast included. There is even a complimentary slushy machine and treats for the doggies!!The staff were so pleasant and I absolutely would recommend this place. Well done Super 8. Best one I ever stayed in. You should use this one as a template.

Mae Manimtim: , was coughing and hacking simply because the air circulation was not good. My two nieces and I had an extremely rough time breathing and could not last 30 minutes in the area and had to leave to get fresh air.Other than that, I was pleasant to find out that they do check-in calls, something I had never experienced before. The lady on the phone enthusiastically greeted us and asked if we found everything all right. I don’t know if this is normal — definitely isn’t for me — and I appreciated it greatly. It’s hard to maintain that enthusiastic energy after a long day at work.

Jasmine: We picked this hotel for a staycation for their water slide, and stayed in their king suite room. The room looked like it recently just got a redone. The room was very clean and neat. My husband who’s usually very picky was super happy too. The slide was one of the highest one we could find in the city. It was awesome! We will definitely be back.Nearby activities: We didn’t eat at the restaurants at the hotel, but instead went to another restaurant at Ye’s Buffet. We went on a Sunday evening, and there was so much selection! Chinese food, Japanese Sushi and lots of western food too. There’s something for everyone! We loved it! Everything was freshly made! If we stay back at the hotel, we will most likely go to this restaurant again.

Sammy Kowalchuk: Rooms: Clean but dated. Could not adjust the air conditioner only turn it on or off with a light switch. Had mini fridge but no freezer.Noteworthy details: Ordering from DoorDash front desk would not allow delivery drivers to drop food off at hotel room door which was a total pain. All orders had to be left with front desk.Poor water stream with the shower which made it difficult to rinse off hair/body.Front desk staff were all very kind.

Reborn Unicorn: Played at playmakers gaming lounge. They close daily at midnight which is really not a good idea considering the majority of vlt play happens from 10pm to 2pm.

Karen Backman: Just stopped in for lunch. Friendly staff

I brought in squashed cans. He made me put them in a shallow 2” high box. After struggling trying to keep them in the boxes the attendant took the boxes and dumped them into his loose container. Roslyn Fried: , for 3 nights. It was about 20mins from the airport. The room was clean and comfortable. Very nice decor and bathroom. Good service throughout our stay. We enjoyed the pool room, which was very clean.Breakfast was good with lots of fresh fruit and healthy choices. I appreciated the all day free coffee.Location is quite close to lots of amenities including a good dessert spot, Ikea

Nancy Rideout: On our drive from Montreal to Calgary, we stayed one night at Hyatt House. We actually got a suite on points which was great. Super clean hotel, very pleasant staff, plenty of nearby restaurants in what appears to be a nice neighborhood. A little further off the highway then we usually like but it was worth it. Very pleasant stay, would definitely stay again if ever in the area.

Neha ShahPatel: We enjoyed our Stay with our Toddler@winipegThis place provides everything . Kitchen, utensils, microwave, fridge, dishwasher.Rooms are clean.Healthy breakfastKindly staff.PoolWe will definitely come back.

Daniel Pasieka: The Hotel is brand new, everything is state-of-the-art. The staff are as friendly and kind as the hotel is new. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. My family and I loved the experience of staying here!Rooms: Spacious, well designed, and extremely comfortable.Nearby activities: The Rec Room restaurant next door provides great food and fun for the whole family.Safety: The swipe card security on the elevators is appreciated.Walkability: All amenities close by.Food & drinks: The bar is fantastic, and the breakfast was high quality nourishing food.

joe guimaraes: . I really like that the beds are comfortable. The continental breakfast is great and all the employees have no problem helping with any questions. The location is close to many restaurants and shopping locations with minutes. I highly recommend staying at this hotel while in Winnipeg.

Melissa Jensen: This was an amazingly clean and comfortable hotel. A very new hotel in a great location next to the mall, restaurants and the rec room. They have some snacks and drinks available for purchase, very expensive. The lobby bar was comfortable and service was fast and friendly. I didn't use the pool but another customer said it was cold but a nice pool. The breakfast is excellent. Pancakes, hash browns, sausage, eggs, fresh cut fruit, juice, coffee, bagels, and more. The bed was so comfy and I liked that they have big bottles instead of the single use toiletries. I forgot my toothbrush and they had one at the Lobby desk for me.

Tara: Stayed here for a week and it was great. The rooms are huge. We stayed in a double queen suite, full kitchen with stove top, convection oven and dishwasher. Had a nice living room and a tv that flipped around to be watched either in bed, or on the couch. We did hear people running around in the room above us but they were quiet by 11pm. We could also clearly hear doors from the hallway, which sometimes sounded like they were being slammed shut, otherwise it was fairly quiet. It's very close to the outlet mall, Cabela's, Ikea, Dollarama, a grocery store, The Rec Room and many other stores. Breakfast was ok, being celiac my options were limited to fruit. The coffee was awful. There's a Tim Hortons across the parking lot. I love this hotel and can't wait to return again soon!Update June 2023: this hotel has the best coffee! They have a new machine that can make pretty much whatever you want. I stayed here for another 4 nights, every morning I had the best Americano.Rooms: Huge, comfortable layout. Lots of space.Nearby activities: Outlet mall, The Rec Room, Cabela's, Ikea, Dairy Queen, Co-op grocery store, mini golf in the dome, and much more shopping

Lisa Hanson (Rocknrolldowager): A beautiful new hotel. Sadly I did not get to stay, but took in the ambience of the first floor.

Benson Akinkugbe: and a good gym.The icing on the cake is that it is indigenous-centric, which gives you an opportunity to see another beautiful side of indigenous hospitality.Would definitely visit again with my family, and I hope the bar would have been opened.

Darien Savitsky: Great location.Great rooms.Great rates.Great staff.Highly recommend.

Corey Shefman: This is my new favourite hotel in Winnipeg, no contest! The rooms are spacious, clean, and well furnished, the service is friendly and efficient, and the hotel is reasonably located walking distance from Polo Park area, and just a 5 minute drive from the airport. I especially liked the unique touches that remind you that the hotel is owned by Long Plain First Nation, the signs are all bilingual in English and Anishinaabemowin, and they've got a nice little gift shop of beaded crafts at the front. The real gem of this hotel though is the restaurant. The food is phenomenal for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and I would eat here even if I wasn't staying at the hotel!Food & drinks: The restaurant is Indigenous-themed, and everything is delicious. I'd eat at the restaurant even if I wasn't staying at the hotel!

Traci Henzel: Love this new modern facility in the heart of wpg st James area, great little gift store and very clean hotel

Chrystal Brause: Food & drinks: The restaurant right behind the mere hotel has excellent food and drinks.Noteworthy details: And it's awesome that they have a Mini gym. Try it out, loved it.

David Gatchalian: Nice clean and large rooms. Located right by the Exchange which has good restaurants and bars with one located right at the back on the water. We enjoyed the waterside view and evenings were safe and quiet away from the downtown core.Walkability: Close to good bars and restos.

Dylan Martens: Very nice hotel. Have stayed here twice, both times in a king bed room. I would give 5 stars, but the paid parking is a bit dumb. You have to pay $22 + tax for a non guaranteed space next to the hotel when there is public parking on the streets all around the hotel. If you don't mind a short walk you can park on the street for $2/hr until 530pm on weekdays.Nearby activities: The Forks Market is only a 2 minute drive away, or about a 10 to 15 minute walk.

Danny Smith: I went to the restaurant that overlooks the river .The food was exceptional..Pickerel,calamari,double burger and hand cut fries..And a few cocktails..Our waiter was fun..had a great personality...Food & drinks: Sat on the outside patio.... exceptional value in food and drinks..Great service..our waiter was amazing..

Brittany Livingstone: This hotel is gorgeous and Brian N. at the front desk is so helpful. Thank you Brian!

Everett Dueck: But the water was $4.75/ bottle!!! 😅 we ended up buying one because I don't trust the tap water in a hotel. It just seems a bit pricey. Maybe offer free water along with the complimentary free coffee?! Just the one thing I noticed, but not bad enough to ruin our stay.

Chrislove: A really beautiful space to rest and relax

Jade: Well this place is interesting. Not much to offer as other hotels it seems, but they do have nice rooms. A lil on the smaller side, but large enough. The bathroom tho! Be prepared as it has a large floor to ceiling window looking into the room, which does have a blind but still makes you feel on display... Didn't bother me, but I know some are praticular with their bathroom habits & some may be uncomfortable due to it. They're also very echo-y... so if you're taking a loud #2, expect your roomie to hear lol... heads up there are bathrooms near the lobby... bet its for that reason lol

Jagdeep Singh: Neat and clean

Chaz: Service was all round great, on-site laundry was convenient but expensive. Restaurant was clean but very dark and food quality was 7 out 10. Didn't use the pool but it did look very clean and not busy. Rooms were clean and well stocked. Hotel was in the middle of local street repair construction but we visited during a long weekend so nobody was working.

Ali Vakil: Clean rooms. Quite peacefull. Includes an indoor pool. Good sevice. Overall good experience will come back for sure

Andrea Spallanzani: Good hotel with a nice big room. The bed was comfortable. The room has no frills but it is spacious and clean. The bathroom was big. Breakfast was included and very good. Service was ok, some people at the front desk were very nice and helpful others not so much. The location is fine but very close to a busy street.Rooms: The room is spacious with a nice big bed

Christiane “Chris” Comeault: My family enjoyed our 3 night stay. Room service was easy, open for breakfast or dinner and good options. The room was clean, we had plenty of towels. Loved the dove hygiene products. Good pressure in the shower. Easy to adjust room temperature. Comfortable bed.The hotel is located outside of downtown. The parking lot is a bit hard to drive in - hard to explain.. but trust me!Husband and his cousin enjoyed the pool area, which also had lots of room to visit.Staff were friendly and helpful.Overall, would stay here again!
