Our school is dedicated to teaching Math, Physics, Chemistry, Logic, languages and much more to students in grades Kindergarten through Grade 12 at an advanced level. It is also designed to provide extra support to those students who are in need for additional assistance and tutoring in these subjects.

Our goal is to help students reach their maximum potential, to spark curiosity and to encourage academic excellence. We can teach any student how to understand those ‘hard to grasp’ concepts in any subject. Our main interest is to advance students’ math, physics as well as other scientific skills, and increase their enjoyment in all streams.

The students attend an evening school once or twice a week. Our class size fluctuates from the smallest class having four students, to the largest class having 20 students. Classes with more than 8 students are aided by teacher assistants to provide students with one on one attention. Students are given 2-3 pages of homework per day, with the intention to improve their skills in a given subject.

The homework takes about 10-20 minutes a day per subject, depending on the student. Each child is individually assessed and placed in a class suitable for their level. For example: child who is very advanced for his or her age in a given subject will be placed in a class with older kids of the appropriate level. In a situation where a child does not figure out the concept, the teacher will give him one on one time until the material is understood. All classes follow Advance Program requirements (AP), which is “unique” to the Integral school that works along the Manitoba standard curriculum and dives deeper into the base units for further understanding. Highly qualified teachers with rich experience from Canada, Russia, and Israel are glad to provide students with unique learning experiences that will help them to recognize and utilize their potentials.

Absolutely. Since Mathnasium is customized to the needs of each individual student, we can help advanced students stay engaged and stimulated by introducing them to more challenging math topics. More importantly, we can also help your child to develop even stronger numeric fluency and critical thinking skills, which are essential for continued success in math.


Have you ever watched a foreign movie without subtitles? It can be confusing and frustrating because you don't understand the language! If your child is missing key math skills, this is exactly how they feel in math class!


In school, they treat kids the same because it is assumed that all kids learn the same way and at the same rate. The teachers are expected to cover vast amounts of material in a short period of time. If your child doesn't get a chance to master a skill for whatever reason – that's too bad. Teachers must move quickly to stay “on schedule". As a result, we see too many kids fall behind in math.


What happens next? The class moves on! Here come multiplication facts, fractions, percentages, decimals, mixed numbers, exponents, ratios, x=?, divisibility rules, algebra, geometry, equations. It never slows down so your child can catch up! They feel overwhelmed, embarrassed, and all alone! They begin to expect and accept failure as the "new normal" and think "I'm just not good in math!" They lose all confidence in themselves and all of their other grades begin to suffer.


Is it any wonder why you have to fight with them to do their homework? With many kids, it is easier for them to fight you and not do the work than to put the effort into it only to see failure again. After a while, it just doesn't seem worth the effort for them.


Unfortunately, in most cases a private tutor is a temporary fix for a long term problem. Private tutors only help children "survive" tonight's homework, but they don't address underlying issues. In most cases, private tutoring is not going to be a meaningful long term solution. Your child deserves to have that long-term impact in their math education!


Great Question! The very first thing we do is give your child a skills assessment. We give them both a written and oral assessment so that we can get a deep understanding of not only what they know, but how they think!

We sit down with them, put them at ease, and give them an assessment that doesn't feel too easy or too hard. Most importantly, we find out HOW THEY LEARN! Then we build their trust by giving them a few ideas and strategies that they can use immediately. We then build a customized learning plan that targets skill gaps and quickly shows them success. In many cases “success” in math is something they have been craving!

Monday: Baking day, where kids will make sweet treats with a spring theme. Each child will also receive a realistic dessert refrigerator magnet - be careful not to accidentally take a bite!

Tuesday: Environmental Education, where we teach children about the importance of reducing waste and proper waste disposal. We will also have an outdoor garbage collection activity where children will wear disposable gloves. Parents can rest assured that safety will be a top priority. There may even be government officials present to encourage environmental protection and instill a sense of social responsibility in our children.

Wednesday: A trip to Fortwhyte Alive, where kids will take a deep breath of fresh air and experience the beauty of spring in nature.


Thursday: A trip to the Manitoba Museum, where kids will watch a spring break special at the Planetarium to learn about the importance of protecting the ocean environment. In the afternoon, we will explore the Science Gallery.


Friday: Arts day, where children will use the inspiration they've gathered throughout the week to create their own spring-themed artwork. We will give our kids a perfect ending to their Spring Break experience while also immersing them in an educational and artistic experience.

Our goal is to educate and entertain, to learn through play and play through learning. We hope that our dedicated parents will see and appreciate our efforts, and that our children will feel the positive impact of these activities, creating wonderful memories for their Spring Break.
