James Haier: We had Thomas guide us around the museum and explain the various machines, equipment, photos, etc. He was a marvelous guide. This is a "must-see" if you have any Polish/ Ukrainian/ pioneer interests. We spent a wonderful afternoon and highly recommend the museum.

Zoë LeBrun: Tour guides are super knowledgeable and entertaining! The doll room is only slightly horrifying and was lots of fun

Quinton Trites: Fantastic museum. Very enthusiastic and informative guide for the tour. Lots of historical artifacts from the local area all tied into the Eastern European heritage of the community. Highly recommend.

Colleen: An international tournament featuring some of the world’s top jousters is came to the hamlet of Cooks Creek July 26, 2018. What an experience, walk around the grounds, stop/shop at the booths & sit back on a beautiful sunny day to watch Jousting at it’s best. This event comes every 2 years & I cannot wait for it’s return. The horses & the jousters are amazing. Hmmmm it gave you a taste what it was like back in the day. What was cool some people dressed up.Also, immaculate Catholic Church is beautiful.I wanted to share some of my foto’s & hope you enjoy them.

Ksana Khudyntsia: A wonderfully preserved building museum. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the guide will give you an unforgettable tour of the rooms with detailed descriptions of things and stories about the lives of their owners.

Rodney: A real treat. The house is beautiful and very well maintained with a lot of furniture and items from its hay day. Our guide was so good and knowledgeable. I not only enjoyed the house but learned a lot about the history of the time and the people. Well worth a visit.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …

Beth Nordheim-Baker: The museum was very well kept up and furnished in the period it was built. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave a great history of the house and Winnipeg at the time.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

A C: My wife and I stumbled upon the Dalnavert Museum in Winnipeg and it quickly became one of our favorite hidden gems in the city. As architecture and history lovers, we were both amazed to see the entire building so well-preserved, giving us a glimpse of Winnipeg's past. Emily, our tour guide, was super informative and took us through the house, sharing not just the story of the building but also some fun little anecdotes. We had such a great time that we can't wait to go back!

Zhivka Radeva: Wonderful place to visit. Good and knowledgeble guide, warm and helpful receptionist.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

I K (Kira): It’s one of those hidden Winnipeg gems. You don’t hear much about it. I think it needs to be advertised more. What a wonderful place it is! Came here for a Teddy Bear tea party and just live it! The staff is super friendly and loves what they do. Kids enjoy Tex their scavenger hunt, crafts and treats, so are moms enjoyed their coffee while kids were entertained. And the place itself… so much history, beauty, details and textures. I just wanted to touch everything and take endless pictures. Definitely coming back for the “behind ropes” tour.

Michelle Cea: Beautiful. Knowledgable, enthusiastic and polite tour guide.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Leif Norman: Experience the year 1895 from a rather upper class perspective. Filled with objects, furniture and artifacts from the era, this house was a rooming house in the 1970’s and just about got torn down. Lovingly restored and luckily still full of original plumbing fixtures and radiators.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Brianna Kaldor-Mair: This is a great little museum. Tours are mandatory, but the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The house itself is beautifully restored.

Karen Miller: Their Halloween events and children's events are not to be missed. There is obviously a lot of care and planning put into these events. My kids have a fantastic time.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Luc Marineau: You are very interestingVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Lyne Brousseau: Just perfect. The exhibitions are beautiful, especially the one on Louis Riel. The museum is located in a very old building with an old chapel behind it which now contains several artifacts from another era. On the second floor is an exhibit on Métis and Indigenous art. You can find a bit of everything there, including painting and sewing. The description of the works is described in French, in English and in the language of the artist. The people at the reception are PERFECT! they speak French, answer all our questions, they are simply passionate about the history of St-Boniface. We had the chance to ask just one question and it was a book that opened up to us. In addition, the view from this site is simply splendid! a must, impossible to miss. In front of the museum is a huge bust in honor of Louis Riel. I simply loved it!

Abby Shotton: I came with a work group and the tour guide was very patient and explained everything very well! I would definitely come back!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait …

Often times we would stop spur-of-the-moment while riding our bikes. It's a beautiful well-kept piece of history.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait …

Renaider: I went to the St Boniface museum on a Thursday when the entrance and tours were free. When I got there and asked about the free tour, I was told that there wasn’t going to be one because there wasn’t enough people. Literally only me.It made sense at the time because, of course, I didn’t want to put them to any trouble. So I wandered around with one of the fellows, just pointing out the different rooms and what were in there but no detailed information.I went away underwhelmed and later decided that I would contact the museum and ask why they wouldn’t give a tour even if it was just for one person because one person or 10 people what’s the difference?I received an immediate response, and was told that I should have been given a tour and that,” anytime I would like”, I would get free entry and a tour. Thank you Loik !Well, I’ve had a tour of both the graveyard and the museum and I can tell you it was incredibly informative and very satisfying. The information imparted I had no clue about.Yes, there’s a lot about Louis Riel, because he is buried there, but there’s also a lot about the history of St Boniface and Winnipeg in general.I don’t want to ruin anything for anyone who might go, but a couple nuggets of information that I learned kind of blew me away.First of all, I found out that a cross is only a crucifix if it has Jesus on it. Otherwise, it’s just a cross. And on the cemetery grounds a life sized crucifix just outside of the old cathedral faces the cathedral, when normally, it should be facing out from the graveyard. Apparently, this is to protect the cathedral, which has burned down three or four times now.It was totally fascinating to hear about the original inhabitants of this area and the Europeans effect on them and how the newly formed Manitoba government try to negotiate with the Canadian government to become Manitoba. And lots and lots and lots of details in between. If you are at all into museums, and how the local history formed what is now the modern era, this is a must visit museum and the tour makes all the difference!I highly recommend attending the St Boniface museum.

Tara M: A wonderful treasure! Must see when visiting Winnipeg. Parking is a challenge.
