The associate was welcoming and knowledgeable, and didn't yell at me for not noticing his sign to not touch and shake all the paints 😅 Since Michael's stopped selling model paints, I was recommended by an associate there to try this shop, and I'm glad they did! It's easy to get to and they have a fantastic selection with many brands.

Paul Turenne: are very nice and very knowledgeable about all things model railroading. The N scale selection is not too bad, but N scale selection is always limited at any store you go to no matter where. They will special order products for you however no problem. I think because of the Canadian dollar and economy as well as other factors, most stores do not carry as much product as they did before COVID. The HO train selection is quite good. The store also has a nice selection of scratch building supplies as well as paint, glues and scenery products for your layout. They also have a good consignment selection of rolling stock etc. I love coming to this store and we do really need to support such brick and mortar shops before they all disappear from our cities.

Desi H.: This is THE Gunpla shop in Winnipeg! They may only be open a couple days a week, but their selection and prices honestly can't be beat! Even amazon is more expensive and as of July '23, he's even got witch from mercury stuff!

Samizdat Broadcasts: This place is an absolute marvel. I've never seen anything even approaching the amount of vintage toys that this place has, anywhere in the country. If you were born anytime after 1960, you will see some aspect or another of your childhood in this store. For that reason, it is a must visit for anyone passing through Winnipeg.

Sectioned off into different segments, Cobra Collectibles features a wide variety of nostalgic gems, from classic video game titles to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Transformers figures.If that wasn't enough, the second floor features a repair shop for videogame consoles, which is well-appreciated in the age of rediscovering one's childhood. If you're in the area, I highly recommend making your way down here. You might be surprised at what you find, and what will tickle the ol' nostalgia bone!

I came the next day with a bin of stuff and was asked what I wanted for it. I was offered a lot more than I asked. Props for very honest customer service as he could have also tried to talk me down further from my low offer. Very happy with my experience and will be back to make purchases in the future.

Sad Haus Press: One of Winnipeg’s best treasures, a hidden gem in the rough Terri’s Trinkets and Toys!! The shop is head to toe in modern and vintage toys and accessories, be prepared to dig a little bit, or a lot, and expect to come out with some super cute and fun goodies! I have spent hours at this shop in its current location and previously at mulvey market. The owner is amazing, passionate, very kind, helpful and patient. I wouldn’t even want to imagine a Winnipeg without Terri’s Toys and Trinkets. Always a pleasure to stop in, and can hardly ever wait until the next visit. Thank you for everything you folks do!
