Deen's Caribbean Restaurant & Patio: what do users think?

Kathy Manness: great service and great food 👌

Leith Grenkow: I'm a huge fan of rotis. Whenever I have a chance to try a different place I'm on it. First time going to Deen's and it didn't disappoint. They had a Jerk Chicken roti on special and it was so.damn.good. Best Roti in the city to date for me. If you like spicy, I'd suggest asking for the hot sauce on the side. It's a blend of Habaneros, Scotch Bonnets and some magic I think. Damn good heat!!

Hannah Vernon: . The vibe was authentic Jamaican of the style you get off the beaten path where the locals go, without running into a boatload of aggravating tourists.Vegetarian options: They have great vegetarian options; I recommend the chickpea roti or the chips-and-channa. Great portion sizes and very tasty; you won't be disappointed!

D N: The best patio and music

Ron Malkowich: Great food and fantastic place on a weekend sitting outside listening to live music.Kid-friendliness: Number of times young ones dancing to live music

T Dimy: I really liked the music and the Show is a good place to have a good time

Tropikis Restaurant: what do users think?

Jonathan Janisch: I had the half chicken and beef roti. The food was very good. The beef was very tender and full of flavor. The lady taking the order was very nice.

Sydney B: Amazing food! Unfortunately the lady at the front could be nicer.. often yells at the kitchen staff, passive aggressive to customers. Kinda entertaining if you can look past it. I keep going back because the food is great, unlike any restaurant in Winnipeg…

Tomisin fola-bolumole: great customer service

Tofarati Fola-bolumole: Amazing customer service

Jeff Chlup: Recommended dishes

Pamela Carroll: Food and service was wonderful as expected.

M.Christine's Kitchen inc: what do users think?

Tiffany Munro: We dropped by Miss Christine's Kitchen booth at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival for dinner where we had the Jerk Chicken and Oxtail. The meat was fresh and flavorful, grilled with real fire and soaked with flavorful juices, tender and juicy. No chewing required, practically. The oxtail fell apart with a nudge. Real stick to your ribs comfort food, you'll leave full. You'll probably try the jerk chicken because it's the most famous dish from the Caribbean. As good as it gets in Canada. The oxtail is a must try dish if you've never had this cut of meat and have no idea how to cook it! You won't get better oxtail in a restaurant.Plus Miss Christine is very nice too!

Andrew T: , curry chicken and jerk chicken so far, and I recommend all of them. The flavour is excellent--not too spicy, and they put on a sauce that compliments the food well. The portions are generous, coming with rice and peas. There are still a few days left of the Fringe Festival, so we'll be back there again before it's over. Thanks!

Lynda Okeke-Okoli: I stopped by Miss Christine’s stand at Winnipeg Fringe Fest yesterday and had oxtail! My friend and I both got it and it was AMAZING!! 2 people stopped us to asking where we got our food from because of how good it looked. The oxtail was super tender and I barely had to chew it. The rice and peas were delicious and flavourful as well. The cherry on top would have been some plantain but I assume that might not be the best to prepare in advance for an outdoor event as it’s best served freshly fried. All 3 ladies at the stand were very kind too! To me this is hands down the best Jamaican food in the city, I’ve had it twice and nothing beats it! I look forward to my next meal at Miss Christine’s☺️ I’d love to try curry goat next.

Lukas V: Delicious. The ox tail was amazing, I'll definitely be back for more!!!

Sean Bliss: Just tried my first bite of Miss Christine’s BBQ jerk chicken and I felt compelled to write up a review: best chicken I’ve had in my life. Now I’ve got to get back to it.. thank you Miss Christine! My new Winnipeg go-to.

Eat With Me: I like Miss Christine Jamaican food, this is our second times ordered from her. I realize the price is increase, this has to blame the inflation. Taste of her food is good. We order 3 different meal for pick up after work with the kids. We had the jerk chicken, BBQ jerk chicken and the jerk pork meal. I like the spicy favor of her rub. Tasty food there! I recommended people to try out her food for sure, and it is a little hidden gem for sure for delicious Jamaican food.

Zach Dawson: This was one of the best meals of both mine and my fiance's lives. Had the oxtail and fried chicken and she had the curry shrimp. Just wow. Portions were huge, food was tender, full of flavor, and well presented. The owner was very friendly and advised us to next time order ahead, but the food was absolutely worth the wait. We will definitely be back!!!

Vicky Klassen: Best Jamaican food in Winnipeg!!! Miss Christine is an amazing chef and personality too.

Ryan Klassen: Absolutely blown away. It was difficult to pick out what part was the best, because even the rice is out of this world. I would definitely say this place qualifies as a hole in the wall but diamond in the rough is better suited. Homemade with love style authentic Jamaican cuisine. Looking forward for what to try next time!

Famenas Famous Roti & Curry: what do users think?

Hazel Shopper: Best roti. Period.

Kevin Yewchyn: Muhammad is a joy to talk with and makes an incredible roti. Chickpea, potato and veggies for me with a rounded Caribbean flavour. Plus a hot sauce that has a good balance of flavour and kick. Leaves you with the feeling that you’re full of hearty, nutrient dense food. A+

Brooklynn Yakiwchuk: Amazing food and even better service!

Dave B: Best food around. Delicious Roti, get them with potatoes and chickpeas, pick your favourite meat, enjoy. Huge portions.

Rebeca Bernhagen: Great family restaurant! Mohammed Ali was a great cook and conversationalist.Recommended dishes Chicken Chick Pea …

Markus Land: Amazing food.Great portions, owners are always smiling and very friendly and the environment is awesome. The layout of the countertop and chairs allows you to interact with other people even. Great selection of juices. Rotis are the best in the city and the Oxtail seems delicious. Have not tried it yet but will soon.Parking: You can park on the street

Micah Erenberg: Probably the best restaurant in the city of Winnipeg. The hot sauce is legendary.

Bindy's Caribbean Delights: what do users think?

Jesus: and jerk. The shrimps and meat were juicy and tender, and the seasoning was perfect. They also have sodas from Trinidad and Tobago which are really cool. I would highly recommend Bindy's to anyone looking for a flavorful and authentic Caribbean dinning experience.

Terry Peristerakis: YES!!! If we are in the area, or feel like Roti, this is the only place we go. Our kids loves their roti too, which is great for us, I love the jerk chicken spices that they do and often get a side with my order. Definitely worth a visit.

Cindy R: Great experience! Have BINDY'S DOUBLES and loved it! So inexpensive, $4. Try it with a little hot sauce!

Sejay Bettencourt: amazing food. The veggie chicken roti for me steals the show for me, and I also love a lot of the drinks here too. I highly recommend you check this restaurant out

Beatrice Andreola: Great food and fast service

David Kroeker: It was really cool seeing everything made by hand right in front of me. The roti I bought was delicious as were the plantain chips. A little on the pricey side but definitely still worth it.

Barry Bissoondatt: How can one not be happy when they can get doubles?! Doubles here were tasty, but both the bara and the curry were a tad on the dry side; however, the flavours were excellent. The cucumber chow was crisp and refreshing on a warm day. The aloo pie was very tasty. Everything was a little spiced for Trinidad authenticity, but not so hot as to not appeal to any customer. Service was friendly and quick.

Daniel DuPlessis: Great selection which includes vegan options. They were busy when I went and had to wait about ten minutes for the food, but it was worth the wait. I had the vegetable roti, which is vegan, and is highly recommended. I can’t wait to go back next time I am in Winnipeg.

D&M Caribbean Flava: what do users think?

Madelaine S: Absolutely fantastic Caribbean food! The Jamaican patties are so fresh and tender. They are made in house and are the best tasting patties I have ever had! The meals are fantastic with generous portion sizes. The restaurant is so clean and the staff are so warm and friendly. I always look forward to stopping in to pickup a meal at D&M Caribbean Flava. The best Caribbean food in town!

Chipalo Simunyola: The food is clean and good. The service is great. I love walking in there and worship music is on. The festival is awesome. Usually get oxtail and jerk chicken.Parking: It’s a strip mallParking so you get what you get.

Bennie Gusnowsky: This place is mostly geared for takeout with only a few seats for eat-in. The staff are friendly and the food was quite good. There is some axtra habanero sauce available for the brave. The service is takeout quality but the owner came by to ask how everything was while we were eating. The wait is quite long but good food takes time. Order early to ensure your best selection as they sell out of items during the day.

Joey Pilotte: Ordered via skip. This was SO good. The curry goat is just delicious, got rice and peas and they gave lots for a small order, I have left overs. Fried chicken is unlike anything I've ever had, the marinade goes down to the bone and it's tender and juicy. I was too full to eat the Jamaican patties I ordered but I pulled off a corner and it was so perfectly flaky and so good. This is a cut above any Caribbean food I've tried in this city. They deserve success if they keep this up!

Nuflare 09: Food was excellent and flavourful! Portion sizes were above expectations and presentation was good!

Brian Hiebert: today for lunch. D&M Caribbean Flava on Molson Street between Regent and Concordia. The dine in area is small, but brightly colored and very clean. They have a nice selection of breakfast and lunch/dinner options in regular and large sizes. I couldn't decide between the goat and the oxtail, so they gave me half of each. The goat was very good, and the oxtail - my first time trying it - was a big win! It's braised in a very rich, dark, slightly sweet gravy and was super tender. I had my choice of rice and beans, or 'festival'

Julian Goslin: does not come with salad dressing if you are truly interested in authentic Caribbean cuisine, it's as plain as you get it. Otherwise, when I am too lazy to cook, I can always depend on D&M for some tasty food. Very large serving portions. More Manish water, please!

Keneisha Gardiner: Ordered Jerk Chicken and Beef Patties for an event and it was great! Will definitely be eating here again. Highly recommend this place.

Mallory Johnson: I will 100% be eating here again. Like damn. That was real food.

K&S Island Grill: what do users think?

Faro Faro: Food: 5/5

Ken P: Great service, ambiance, and food. Asked for what the chef recommended, how he would eat it, and got an amazing meal.I got the oxtail with fried plantain, coleslaw, and rice. The oxtail was fall off the bone, perfectly cooked, and tastefully seasoned. The sides really complimented the meal as well. To finish off, I had a grapefruit Ting.Highly recommend

Yosef Kamel: There's something so special about this restaurant. Our booth was spotless, and set very nicely, and the people who served us were friendly and prompt. The food was truly spectacular. Every element of our dishes was nailed with a precision that demonstrates the chef's talent, experience, and discipline. The shrimp curry and oxtail stew are addictive. This is a place where people take pride in the experience they're providing and I'm so glad we came here.

Gavin Doyle: Was supposed to have gotten food from them a few weeks earlier, but a change of plans caused me to miss out.Took the opportunity to come in for a late lunch and enjoyed the jerk chicken sandwich along with some deep fried plantains.Highly recommend.

RWM: Great food , with great flavours

KCB: Take out at the Island Grill is excellentJerk Chicken LinguiniJerk Shrimp with rice and peasAmazing Greek saladThree dishes but we had a lot leftover for lunch the next day.Keisha and Sean still doing it greatOne of the best restaurants in WinnipegBeautiful walk through Assiniboine Park across the bridge to the Island Grill. Food was great as always - Caesar dressing homemade and excellent. Jerk chicken linguini was perfect - linguini with garlic and parmigiana melted in my mouth. Excellent wine at a reasonable price. Keisha and Sean thank you!!When you walk in it really feels like a little piece of Jamaica.Beautifully decorated and meticulously clean.Keisha and Sean welcome you like you were a guest in their own home.Food is exceptional -- very fresh and exploding with flavour. It was our first visit - but we will be regulars - parked in the park and had a wonderful walk over the bridge.
