After he did the measurements, he discussed what are the pros and cons in regards to what kind of doors to select and he gave me a tour in their showroom. His installers are great in installing doors , they also cleaned their mess before they leave and took the old doors as I requested.There was a slight issue with the front door but sir Dave deal with it professionally to Met the client demand, and I’m so happy with it. Paula Baker: I contacted Their sales rep Paul after a recommendation from a friend.I needed gutters, rotted trim and a patio door replaced.Paul came out and was extremely friendly and professional.When the work began with the gutter subcontractor, Paul was in touch to make sure everything was as I expected. The crew that did the gutters was quick and professional. Completed and cleaned up all in a timely manner. The next step was fixing wood rot at the trim. Paul came out to go over everything with me as the gentleman doing the work began. He was fantastic. Both the gutters and trim were completed and all we were waiting on was our door.Realizing how manufacturers are in the post pandemic world, I was very concerned that the job would not be completed before the winter as we were still waiting on the door.I was in touch with Paul and Lou and will say I was pleasantly surprised that they worked to ensure we got our door installed today. The 2 gentlemen who did the door install were friendly, polite and professional. If possible, the work area was cleaner than when they arrived.I have to admit, Hi-Tech was excellent to deal with, they stuck to the quoted timeline and they have ensured that I was a happy customer.There are many repairs that my home needs, and I will not hesitate to call Paul at hi-tech for my next project!
jbec61: Revised September 2022. Was 3 star, now 5. After discussions with Hi Tec, they sent out their service repair person who spent two days in spring adding additional spray foam to finish sealing the windows in place. Stopped all air leaks, most of which we didn’t know we had. They also provided energy certification stickers which qualified the windows for the federal government Greener Homes initiative. We ended up getting grants of $125 per window. Their after-service work and professionalism were excellent. Highly recommended!Hi tec product is very good. Like the windows. Installation is so so. While they did a good job, cleaned up, greatly reduced the need to repaint walls, there were issues with the installation. Some damage to vinyl siding and eavestroughs occurred. The installers explanation was vinyl is brittle and ladders on eavestroughs are going to dent due to the removal of heavy old windows. I’d say be prepared to see some damage and decide if further action is needed.

Mark Irvine: Hi I had Hi Tech windows installed in my house. In my Family Room window the casing screws rusted and one split off inside the casing. I’m working with Sean to get the rusted screws replaced/ fixed as they should have been galvanized or stainless steel since the window opens. They were just regular screws painted white.Hope this gets resolved soon my opinion of Hi Tech was very high up to this point. But rusty screws in thousands of dollars of windows is not a good sign.Update: 11/10/21 tech came out and fixed the issue, not great that it happened to start with, but service and follow up were great, can’t ask any more of a company when problems occur. I would be confident in dealing with Hi- Tech in the future.

Our concern was that the new windows should match the original wood trim throughout the house. Greg Black: I called Yarrow to see about replacing my 8 panel leaded glass cedar front door after a break in. The 3 panels in the lower portion of the door had to be knocked out by Police in order to arrest the intruder inside. I'd called one other company prior to contacting Yarrow and was told my door would have to be replaced but at a very high cost. Over the period of a month I'd been assembling quotes for the door which for some reason kept climbing. When Yarrow came by to assess the damage to the door I was pleasantly surprised that my door could be repaired as the perimeter and the rest of the door was not damaged and at roughly a third the price of my prior quote. They came on Thursday picked up my door and secured the doorway. Then returned the following Wednesday with my door which they repaired with cedar also duplicating all the original moldings. It was rehung and was just like new! The new cedar is lighter in colour of course but with the oil/preservative I've been using will darken with age. The two fellows that were here were very courteous and took extreme care while doing their work. They both admired our wood work which we'd stripped and refinished through out our 100+ year old brick house. I would highly recommend "Yarrow Sash & Door" for any door, window, refinishing, repairing or new construction of doors, windows etc,. If I need anything in the future they will be my first call!Greg.

They are slow to call back but when all the ducks came in a row they were able to install and do the repairs. Our front door and windows were re-leveled and the quality of the work Sam and Seth put out exceeded our expectations.

My experience has been excellent starting with my sales person, Jim, who provided excellent advice and customer service to my installation with Dan. Jim suggested I would be happier if I replaced my patio doors with garden doors and he was right. I love my garden doors. I replaced my patio door, front door, inside garage door, and one window. Installation was done last March and I have not had one issue with my new doors even in this super cold weather. This company in my mind clearly provides a superior product and knowledgeable and experienced installers. I would not hesitate to use this company again to replace any future windows or doors. I would highly recommend them.

An installation time was scheduled and Kelsey called the week before to re-confirm. Installers Wade & Dale arrived on time, assessed the job and began. Both were friendly, informative and respectful. A 3 day job only took 2. Once completed, the old windows and garbage was removed. We would recommend AWD.

I deal with several manufactures from BC and Alberta, but none of them have multipoint lock that can latch at the top as well. This extra feature will prevent sash sagging over time, and even greater air and water tightness.
