Liz Symmons: I’ve not used Norbert Shoe Repair yet, but will do in the future based on the wonderful reviews I’ve read. The one bad review from a very difficult customer who seemed intent on getting the word out about how awful he thought the owner was to him. I’ve a couple of things to say to this “man.” You seem stuck on being spoken to as if you were a child. Did it ever occur to you that you might have been acting like a spoilt child when you discovered you couldn’t have what you wanted immediately? You refused to take the word of a man with over 30 years experience in the business. You were right and he was wrong. Yet you knew absolutely nothing about shoe repair, which is very complex. I wondered where you had gained such knowledge to argue this point with such an experienced man! Apparently you wanted something glued, which you stated would only take 5 minutes. Are you aware of the myriad of different types of glues available and for certain types of circumstances. Of course your not, or you would have done these repairs yourself. So, in light of this you STILL chose to argue with a professional. Perhaps next time, when your doctor perhaps tells you you might have high blood pressure, and chastises you about your diet, you might again have a temper tantrum about being told something by someone who is an EXPERT in their field.

TiredAnd Sick: I bought 2 pairs of mules very cheap at Forever 21, back in November while shopping with Joseph. They had skinny kitten heels but they were nice and wide for my wide feet. I barely ever am able to buy off the rack when it comes to fashion footwear. Between bad knees, bad back, bad ankles and plantar fasciitis, I have some high maintenance foot issues. So when I found an inexpensive low heel that fit my wide feet I snapped them up. Plus, they had a very 18th century feel to them, which I love. Anyhow, I bought them with the intention of taking them to Roger's shoe Repairs to have the heel changed out into a French Heel. I knew this would be an inexpensive request and that Roger is the best. I finally took them in and he did an amazing job. He said it took him 4 days and he made me custom heels out of stacked leather! He didn't even charge me more than he had originally quoted me! They look and feel great. I can't recommend him enough. We always go to him in film and theatre to have shoe repairs done. He also does custom made shoes! He is located under the Fairmont. Now I have my wedding shoes! I am so pleased.
