Arturo Cañada: I ordered 4 Gransfors Bruks axes and commented how I wanted some nice looking ones with a darker color. They sent exactly what I requested and couldn't be happier. I currently live in Hawaii and it arrived in less than a week which is significantly faster than most other sites, the axes were also tightly shipped and organized in protective packaging preventing them from moving during shipping. If you browse their store, you'll notice they only stock the best quality brands from around the world at prices cheaper than many other places online. I plan on moving to Washington state later this year and COEC will definitely be my go to merchant for top tier outdoor cold weather equipment!

Chris C: My family, and I went into the store on Saturday May 20th, 2023 to upgrade, and replace some equipment for an upcoming trip. The staff were beyond fantastic. They showed me where everything I wanted was, and helped me decide between some items. Everything I wanted was put aside at the counter, so we could take our time, as my daughter wanted to explore the store, and repeatedly look at the animal displays. Not only does the shop have a great selection of quality equipment, but the atmosphere and staff made it a very fun, and family friendly experience. We will definitely be making more regular visits, and purchases in the future.P.S. My daughter loves her Kupilka Shot cup, and has had it with her for every meal since our visit.
Crappie bump: I ordered 2 gransfors bruk axes. 1 splitting maul and an outdoor axe. I was hesitant since it was an out of USA country order. Shipping was fast and free. Axes were packed great. Prices were the best. Any outdoor equipment that I need I will shop with Canadian outdoor equipment!

I purchased the NYIK jacket but wasn't happy with my purchase so I came in to exchange it for a DESNA.Eduardo helped me with the end-to-end process; the refund was processed and my new custom order Alpine Moss DESNA arrived within a week.I'm very happy with my new DESNA jacket, not only is it stylish and waterproof but it's also rated for -40 degrees C. P M: Predominantly, ScoutTech is an online retailer. I had no idea that I was living so close to the only brick and mortar store. A little disheveled and disorganized inside, the staff are quite knowledgeable about all the products they offer. They do have quite a good selection from the cheap to the high-end. They have also extended a courtesy discount to scout leaders. This is a fantastic gesture, given the fact that we Scouters are volunteers, yet are expected to have our own set of rather extensive camping equipment: From tents to good hiking boots, to cooking equipment and obviously, sleeping bags, mats and backpacks.

Cory Sakai: UPDATE: Went yesterday to look at boots and Alexandre was there helping us. She did a great job looking after everybody in the area actually. What an enthusiastic sales associate! The door to the store is now open so you don't have to go in through Sportchek but too bad the upstairs is still not open. Still a neat and clean store.==========Bigger than you think. It's attached to Sportchek next door which is much bigger, and if you didn't know, this is the "camping" division of Sportchek. Has lots of technical outdoor clothing and the gear is upstairs. Yup there's an upstairs. Tents and everything. Not as big as MEC but best or only choice in the area. Few staff in this area but friendly if they encounter you and eager to help. Winners next door too if you can't find something here and want to go cheaper, but the prices are ok here and good when there's a sale.

I called Sherway which is right by my house for a pair of shoes I was looking at no answer & then tried Square One & was so lucky to have gotten Brett on the phone, he went out of his way to check all locations in Cda for the specific shoes I was looking for online & even called the 1 location in Edmonton to check if they had it which they didn’t. Then he tried to accommodate me by offering another shoe & said it was on sale & there was one left in my size & kindly kept it for me until I got there & told me to ask for him & he will bring it himself. If only every employee was as caring & kind to go above and beyond like this in service!
