4worldlovers: Firefighter Steve Makris was a model firefighter, loving husband and father, and a true professional. In honour of Steve, who lost a battle with Cholangiocarcinoma in 2022, the 2023 MFES recruit class is raising funds for the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
In the Greek culture, last names have a meaning attached to the them. In Steve's case, Makris means 'Long'. The impact Steve Makris had had on MFES members and those citizens he served will live on for a long time.
All funds raised will be donated to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation. We are hoping that you will donate to this great cause in honour of a great man.
