Micaine Carberry: I love this grocery store. Call me biased, but I feel like they have the best stuff when compared to food basics and no frills. This store is always clean and organized and workers, even though young, are very helpful. Lots of selections and fresh produce. Never bought anything stale or expired here. Definitely had that happen at both a no frills and several food basics. I moved and now live 22 minutes from this store and still find an excuse to come here to shop.

Jennifer Johnson: I normally have a generally good experience here the staff are awesome and helpful especially after a man attacked me in the parking lot and we got into an argument he followed me inside and started with my husband due to families in the store we tried to keep calm the staff immediately had him removed from the store.

They also have hot foods like spaghetti; meatballs; cabbage rolls etc. Today, I stopped in for sandwiches for my mom and I. Carcar: This store used to be an A&P store more than 40 years ago changed to a Food Basics store about 25-30 years ago in 1995 then Metro bought this store and the A&P chain about 20 years ago in 2005 There are usually good to great sales here but like any store you have to shop around and know your prices. I shop there frequently but I am a little farther away recently. They have less of certain bakery and no drug store compared to the Upper James Food Basics at Mohawk. There is more variety of international products here but no beer store compared to upper James.
