Suraj Chandarana: The quality of meats and produce is second to none, I highly recommend their Turkey as well as it’s very moist and not dry and their Korean short ribs are top class. The seasoning on the meats are fantastic and the potatoes salads are to die for. the owner is very nice as he even offers to make sure my meats are cut properly. Definitely one of the best market places in the GTA!!
Samy S: I’ve been here a few times for my cycling trips from Toronto to Niagara. I come exclusively for the deli sandwiches which are top tier. Much better than these pretend sandwich shops in Toronto. Good ratios, proper incorporation of acid/tang to cut the deli fat, and all for a jaw dropping price. Very welcoming place.

Jennifer Schoenhals: I had a sausage on my way to Ti-cat game and someone told me I could buy them here. We popped in and a really nice lady behind the counter let us sample the sausages. They were incredibly tasty and I bought a bag to bring home which was very reasonably priced. I live a long way away but I will make the effort to go there and buy those sausages again. We also took home some homemade sauerkraut which was really good also.

Tammy Edwards: I have been a customer of Sam's for 35 yrs. They have the best cheese prices, on the best cheese selections, in all of Hamilton. They struggled in the beginning of the pandemic, but after getting a vast education in the early stages and employeeing an employee who has a debilitating Autoimmune Disease and on Immune Suppressing meds, they have completely done a 360. All staff wear face shields, and they have put shields around the entire stand. They are not the only ones in the market only wearing face shields, but they are the only ones who have completely encased their stand, to protect themselves and customers. They have served the community of Hamilton for 65 yrs. Its sad to see so many businesses close within the market since the pandemic began. I will continue to support the remaining ones no matter what.

We developed core skills that help save time and money everyday in our kitchen and we've already started benefitting from it. The small class sizes created a familiar and welcoming atmosphere that helped us bond and truly enjoy our time together.If you're still on the fence, I suggest you try one of the couples cooking classes. We had a wonderful time preparing the 3-course Indian meal and can't wait for the Thai cuisine class.

As a well travelled individual, I had the good luck of eating and shopping all over Italy. Nardini's has that small town feel while offering big taste. Elizabeth, Carlo, and the team work hard and it shows. The butchers are tops and the staff bring their own individual identity which gives this place true character.The hot table staff and back kitchen staff are great and always a pleasure to talk with. We have had clients drive to Nardini from Vaughan, Toronto, and Barrie just to purchase the best sausage in Canada. Trust me people this is a destination on the next summer road trip. Good place to broaden your palate with samples of wonderful pairings of cheeses, fruits, and specialty meats. Plan on spending a good while there. Sir Karli Yedidia: A lovely place with the most warm and friendly owners. Stopped in for Bamba quite a few times. It's a great shop, and a must-see if you want to have a look at some Kosher foods. Highly recommend
D X: What an incredibly welcoming owner! Meir welcomes you with the spirit of Middle Eastern and Israeli people -- warmly and with humour. He piled the oven roasted turkey on a slab of soft rye and wow, simple and delicious. I will return again and again. ❤️

Jerry: Took me 25 years to figure out this is the place to buy pastrami. There used to be a sports card store on the corner, as a child I'd come here with my parents and grandparents on one of our rare trips to Hamilton. Thank you for still being here. My family will see you again soon.

Jennifer Tang: The owners are so warm and welcoming, super friendly. Ordered a “medium” pastrami and Montreal smoked meat and the portions are very generous! Served in the classic style with a smear of mustard on rye bread. The store doubles as a small Kosher grocery and has that old school nostalgic feel. Due to COVID it’s take out only so the soup can be bought frozen, but they are made fresh with no preservatives and a bunch of varieties to choose from and all delicious. A must visit in Westdale!

Jennifer Johnson: I normally have a generally good experience here the staff are awesome and helpful especially after a man attacked me in the parking lot and we got into an argument he followed me inside and started with my husband due to families in the store we tried to keep calm the staff immediately had him removed from the store.

Micaine Carberry: I love this grocery store. Call me biased, but I feel like they have the best stuff when compared to food basics and no frills. This store is always clean and organized and workers, even though young, are very helpful. Lots of selections and fresh produce. Never bought anything stale or expired here. Definitely had that happen at both a no frills and several food basics. I moved and now live 22 minutes from this store and still find an excuse to come here to shop.

Zarkys is so great for pre-made meals that you can easily throw in the oven and ready to go.
