Enacia Munn: Mcquesten urban farm is our local farm which helps to feed our residents. During covid19 the building is closed. However, on Saturday mornings there is an outside market where you can get great, fresh produce for very low prices. In full disclosure, I work as a volunteer for the mcquesten bistro as cook at the mcquesten community centre. Also affiliated with Niwasa.

Sami Steel: This is actually a really cool experience! Very friendly goats, rams, sheep, alpaca, pony's and other animals roam free in a fenced off area where visitors can walk amongst them and pet them. I think they are rescues too but I'm not sure. This could be an even greater experience if more money was invested in the farm. There is no food area or drinks and limited places to sit but the price is good relatively, it's about $5 but you can donate more. Great for kids!

Shayla Rose: I attended the Urban Rooftop Tour today and it was fantastic! Learned an exceptional amount about our pollinator friends 🐝, saw them up close and personal, and tasted honey right from the hive. 10/10 would recommend, it's a great way to spend an afternoon.I also have several jars of honey🍯; the Lavendar is delicious and I learned recently that there's only a bit left as there's no lavendar honey harvest this year, so I'd scoop up a jar while you can! Buckwheat is a personal favourite, it's for sure an acquired taste - and their fresh 2023 honey is 👌🏻 Best honey in town!

Priyanka Sekhar: We have been with Plan B Organics since 2014. The fruits and vegetables that we receive weekly are consistently high quality and fresh. During the Covid Pandemic, our farm box became an essential source of food, helping us stay away from large grocery stores and crowds. Personally, we love seeing bits of soil clinging to our sweet potatoes and small imperfections on our apples, it tells us our food is real and truly organic. We'll be with Plan B for years to come.

David Hills: Cranston Farms is our favourite place to pick up local corn on the cob and fresh summer fruits and vegetables. It's a short drive out of town, and definitely worth the drive. The sweet corn we bought last night barely needed to be cooked as it was so fresh. The staff offer personalized service and suggestions too. We'll definitely be back again before the end of the season.

Dina A.: Last year I visited Paradise Fields to attend the Sunday brunch, lecture and farm tour and it was amazing. The food is plant based and delicious. The lecture was very informative. When we toured the farm we were able to sample a few fresh vegetables off the vine like tomatoes and cucumbers. I am going again this summer. The market store also sells fresh produce as well as other items like legumes and wholesome products. I highly recommend a visit to Paradise fields.
Taj Tabussum: Today I attended their one day harvest festival program from 10 to 5.30pm. It was worth attending. I attended Backyard gardening and took a tour of the Farm with Mr.Oreo.I got many tips of backyard gardening, especially how to grow fruit plants. Organic farming and how to make your own composite on a small scale and benefits of it to plants like it increases the plant’s ability to fight diseases.I tasted Sea berries also which was awesome.They had plant based food which was very delicious. The only thing I felt was that their tea machine was not working, so no tea or coffee☹️.The shop had all organic plant base products.The golden berries were small in size but very sweet and delicious with very fresh flavour.
S: The absolute highest quality fruits and vegetables one can access in Hamilton area. So nutrient dense. These people truly care about farming and doing it the right way.

Tips for Trips: GREAT place to have your wedding! There is plants of space - open air too. There is room for extra vendors like a photo booth. The stuff are very helpful and nice. Lots of places to take photos. There is a room to get ready too. It is quite large and fit the bride and bridesmaids. Contact them for a private view before you book with another place.
