McQuesten Urban Farm: what do users think?

Fred Hrischedson: Volunteer with the kids in the farming area! Great, friendly staff!

Monique Berry: It's a happen’n place full of life and activity.

Amanda McKay: Great Community garden!

cherry lapierre: Love having a green space in my neighborhood

shirrie jackson: Ok

Bee Mckay: Very good, we need more of these around but the hours for selling dont match my needs.

brooke tardif: Great service, great veggies

Lisa Skipper: Great Saturday market

Enacia Munn: Mcquesten urban farm is our local farm which helps to feed our residents. During covid19 the building is closed. However, on Saturday mornings there is an outside market where you can get great, fresh produce for very low prices. In full disclosure, I work as a volunteer for the mcquesten bistro as cook at the mcquesten community centre. Also affiliated with Niwasa.

Bridget Carter: a great place to find friends

Lizzydizzy303 Upper: It's an amazing place to get help if you need it , with great staff...

Tracy Boivin: Love the variety of vegetables .. very afoardable.. and a great group of people 😀

Trevor K.: The most community focused bunch of people I've met. I'm sick but I can't wait to help out down there. I've been waiting for two yrs to get well enough. This place exemplifies what community is all about. There is so much knowledge to be gleaned from growing your own food. And really - it's liberating. The world is facing many challenges and it is places like this and people like this that will save our precious planet. And along the way there are so many individual opportunities to make an impact. I encourage everyone to benefit from the delicious produce but I really hope people behind to understand the crisis the world faces with this worsening food shortage.

The Apple Orchard Inc.: what do users think?

v narendra: Awesome place for apple picking

Jessie Irene: The staff here is great, but the entry fee is starting to get a bit steep for the included activities. That said, we still had a good time, but in this economy, I don't know how many people would want to pay $10 per person just to enter the farm.

Khaza Nur: Beautiful place with nice staffs. They have apple orchard, corn maze and a sunflower garden. Lots of activities for kids including an wagon ride. Enjoyed our visit there.

Sara B: Wonderful family farm with so much for kids to do! My toddler loved the corn pit play area and the farm animals. Everyone who works there is so friendly and kind and we will definitely be coming back!

Cindy MacMillan: Fun atmosphere but entry fees are getting steep for what you get. Such as playing 5 min in a corn bin..doing the corn maze once or twice. Picking apples

Patti Brooks: People are so friendly. Many activities and lots of delicious apples. Nice place for families 😁

Mayur Kulkarni: Great people, great experience

Prasun Ghosal: The farm is big with lot of Apple trees with varieties like Fuji, Macintosh, Silken, Empire, Golden Russet, Gala and Golden delicious apples. They also had Pumpkins and Sunflowers. Tractor ride was included in the entry ticket which costed $10 per adult. Washroom was available, Parking was adequate. They also have small Tea stall selling Goat Milk Icecreams and Corns. Overall it was good experience.

Uncle Sam: Beautiful place

C Bilich: We really enjoyed visiting The Apple Orchard for the first time today!! My family is made up of various adults, grandparents, kids, toddlers and babies, and we found it quite manageable for walking with strollers and carrying kids. Everything is As the website advertised and admission is very reasonable, especially for a big family! The apple orchard and pumpkin patch are quite accessible- they have spacious tractor pulled wagons that you can easily fit the stroller onto, which take you to both and run on an endless loop through the day. The terrain is a bit bumpy and rocky so it may be tricky for people with limited mobility however they have picnic tables and Adirondack chairs Everywhere.. The grain trough and the Corn pit are a lot of fun for kids and there is ample seating around it so little ones can play and be supervised easily. The corn maze is fun and stroller friendly. There are a lot of places to sit and enjoy the beauty of the property which is well maintained and quite large. We met the farmer and he was quite welcoming- all of the staff were very pleasant and helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed. We even bought some kettle boiled corn which was delicious! We will definitely be returning next fall!

Tomas: Really nice place to pick some apples and other stuff or just walk around and tskr some pictures. Dozens of apple tree types and really nice area to sit and hang out in. They have tiny goats and ponies as well! You can get some tractor ride too that is included in thr admission price. Lots of parking

Someone that knows: Great place for a day spent with family and kids!! Fair prices. Great selection of apples, pumpkins, and various squash types. Overall great time and not too far from Toronto.

mital: Visited on thanks giving day . Parking is plenty and free. Reservations are not required that what mention on site but there is 2 counter for admission tickets accordingly age . Place was crowded due to holiday. Washroom facilities available as well . Seating are is good with benches tables and some random chairs. Kids play area is good. They allow to bring own food and beverages. Inside we try corn and ice cream with normal charges . Keep bag along with you for apples, pears, pumpkin and squash. Ample verity of apples. You can take round of farm with wogan ride . They mention charges for fruits we harvested from the farm . They do accept visa/debit may be case as well. At exit they have some more products like maple syrup, apple lollipop , honey , candles etc . We spend 3 hrs overall it was good experience

Krishna Dabir: Nice family friendly place . Delicious corn and apples. Worth a visit!

Ali Malik: It is a good place to spend a few of hours with family. They have a good variety of apples to pick. The kids favorite is the corn filled play pen and the tractor ride. Boiled corn on a cold fall day was delicious.I believe the entry fees of CAD 8 for adults and CAD 7 for kids above 2 is a bit on the steep side.

Plan B Organic Farms: what do users think?

Constanza Duran: Great organic food and produce. Great team

Sandra Cunningham: Been going here for years fresh amazing produce and love the ppl here. Everyone should be supporting their local farmers

A. V.: Excellent organic selections in shares. Best Strawberries anywhere. Great people 👌

J.T. WASCHKOWSKI (TUBES): Amazing produce and amazing people!

Priyanka Sekhar: We have been with Plan B Organics since 2014. The fruits and vegetables that we receive weekly are consistently high quality and fresh. During the Covid Pandemic, our farm box became an essential source of food, helping us stay away from large grocery stores and crowds. Personally, we love seeing bits of soil clinging to our sweet potatoes and small imperfections on our apples, it tells us our food is real and truly organic. We'll be with Plan B for years to come.

Matt Cassell: We have been getting our produce from Plan B Organic Farms for over a year now. It's been fantastic. Highly recommended. We enjoy the small batch Apple Cider they sell in season.

Jaash Singh: Amazing organic family farm.

JDL Photography: Friendly people, great produce!

Lindsey Danisch: AWESOME service! Fresh, wonderful pantry options and delivery right to my DOOR! Could not be easier. Lovely mix of veg and fruit. I even get my coffee and popcorn kernels. Easy-peasy. Highly recommend.

Drew Ursel: We've been using their farm-share for a couple months now: always great products with a lot of different possible combinations for dishes to make! Love the variety from week to week, with lots of seasonal additions like squash, watermelon, etc.

Jaime Andrés Correa: I voluntereed there some years ago... even then it was a great place to work and to live in. And all the people that get their produce were very happy with it.I know that hasnt changed at all.

Harry Bradley: .

Salma Bakr: Such a lovely farm and friendly owners. Our family enjoyed visiting Simpler Thyme as part of the Fall Farm Crawl this year. We had fun strolling around the farm, learning about its crops and animals, digging out potatoes, eating home-made pancakes, and playing in the small wooden playground. The owners generously offered to host us and other local families at their farm for free to simply just enjoy their beautiful green landscapes and their swimming pool. What a nice gesture!

P Da: Great local gem. The grounds are beautiful, customer service top notch. Don't overlook what's in the Flamborough backyard!

Veena Yamano: Lovely organic farm ran by the kindest people who care about what they do. Definitely a place to stop by for fresh organic produce!

Beyond the delicious produce, Anne will take her time to show you around, teach you about the plants and produce available and share precious history and stories about how the farm came to be! Aside from walking along the organic plant beds, there is a lovely forest trail that you can walk through on the property. We picked up large bunches of organic asparagus, broccoli and then a tomato plant. I’m excited to return to purchase some beautiful flowers.. what a treat! Enjoyed our little outing here and will definitely be back.

Humble Bee: what do users think?

Shayla Rose: I attended the Urban Rooftop Tour today and it was fantastic! Learned an exceptional amount about our pollinator friends 🐝, saw them up close and personal, and tasted honey right from the hive. 10/10 would recommend, it's a great way to spend an afternoon.I also have several jars of honey🍯; the Lavendar is delicious and I learned recently that there's only a bit left as there's no lavendar honey harvest this year, so I'd scoop up a jar while you can! Buckwheat is a personal favourite, it's for sure an acquired taste - and their fresh 2023 honey is 👌🏻 Best honey in town!

Jess M: GREAT service and the best honey I've ever tasted. Clean store and great prices.

Kim Barz: Humble bee is an excellent source of information and supplies. We are new beekers and we highly recommend them to anyone looking to get into beekeeping.

Erica Leduc: Great staff who were super helpful regarding my beekeeping equipment needs as someone just starting out. Great prices, clean shop, and as far as local, raw and organic honey goes; excellent options! You have to try the root beer honey before it sells out!

William Glenn Bertrand: The best honey 🍯 ever had. Plus the staff very knowledgeable and appreciate your visit if your interested quality compared to any other company. Don't hesitate to contact or visit. You will not regret it. Bought 9 different varieties. Hopefully you treat your self amazing 👏 ✨️

Chris Whitby: As new beekeeper and having experienced a swarm; the folks at Humble Bee guided me through learning and understanding the nuances of introducing a new queen bee to the hive.Their professional and friendly approach to helping me was greatly appreciated; consequently, I highly recommend them in your beekeeping journey.

Laura Gamez: Did the beehive rooftop tour with my dad and absolutely loved it! Luc was super knowledgeable, we learned a lot but also enjoyed just being able to see bees interact calmly with each other. The honey was delicious! Overall a wonderful afternoon, highly recommend for locals and visitors to Hamilton.

Karen Gibbons: Excellent service! Very informative and will answer all questions in regards to beginner bee keeping. Great prices as well. Great job Gentlemen!

Dawn Stowell: Exceedingly worth running the gauntlet through industrial sector. The very friendly and knowledgeable owner took time from busy beginning bee season to answer my question about how to prevent honey crystallization. Truly exquisite honey!! Mild floral blend, with the barest hints of mint and sage. Tastes of the very best that this Hamilton Burlington Carolinian terrain offers.

A. Davies: Best darn honey I've ever tasted! They're friendly, and knowledgeable. They have a wide variety, with much different tastes. I'm going to keep trying them all. You pay a bit more, but it's well worth the extra, if you like honey that is.

Corinna Rush: Excellent business! The honey comb I purchased is just lovely. The staff were very cordial and willing to help, even going above and beyond to ensure I didn't pay more than I needed to on shipping when I was confused about the location. The store itself immediately envelopes you in the familiar scent of beeswax and fresh honey and is very pleasant to visit.I highly recommend and will happily return. 🐝

Serena Grisdale: Great honey! The honey comb made me feel so much better when I got a sore throat. I recovered so much quicker eating it. Can’t wait to get more. Thank Humble Bee.

M: Amazing honey 😋 good service will return soon when i run out 👍

Stacey Fernandes: Luc was amazing!! We highly enjoyed the tour, the honey was delicious and we learnt a ton about the fascinating bees!!
