Westfield Heritage Village: what do users think?

Steve Moffatt: We went for fairies in the forest and it was adorable how the place was decorated. The hiking trails are clear and well maintained. It was pretty neat to see how different life was 200 years ago and the volunteers were very knowledgeable. It was a fun day and there were lots of picnic spots

Mark Green: My family and I truly live this place. Over the years we have had many great experiences. From pancake breakfast for maple syrup fest to the fairy forest event. We are hoping to get to the halloween pumpkin festival this year. A truly fun place with a real great staff. They are very knowledgeable on all the trades and traditions of the past. Even though we have gone there so many times, we still always find something new and fun to experience there. Well worth the trip. Keep up the good work.

Mark Hammar: A great educational village, with most building actually historical and transported here. Great volunteers to help with the interpretation in period dress as well.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Chris Kelsey: So glad I had a chance to visit. The exhibits were great but it is worth going just to see the building. The person who started our tour was very knowledgeable too.

Scott Skinner: Great place full of heritage, beautiful building. Gotta love the green floor, a real attraction that you should not miss if you visit Hamilton. An indescribable hue of green never replicated before. A one of a kind masterpiece of a classic green floor.

Angelina Arabella: Breathtaking

Dawn Stowell: Amazing exhibit on the clothing industry. Wonderful architecture

Gwenyth Crouse: And I remember it being really amazing. There's this whole atmosphere to the place. If it's not haunted then in the very least it has this air of rich history. It's a lovely place and I highly recommend it. I know ghost walks don't happen here anymore but that was one of the most inspiring days of my life. Will definitely come back someday when it reopens just to see how much it's changed in the past 6 years.

Sarah Kendra: Beautiful and historic.

Caitlyn Shields: Amazing historic building with lots of detail! Look up at 8 John Street North and see the ornate pillars and beautiful accents all over this Hamilton staple building, Treble Hall. Toast Wine Bar and The Witch's Fix are the perfect stores for this property. Stunning modern design inside both stores, with an eclectic feel.

Adam Langiewicz: .On the outside, it is a rustic looking heritage building- and on the inside, it is beautifully renovated and remains true to its red brick / industrial vibe. The apartments are beautiful and efficiently constructed, while the location is extremely central / downtown.

Pedram Ghobadi: Perfect

Marcel Camposilvan: Great starting point to head out into the Dundas valley to hike.

M Cheers: I love this place. I wish they could do more. Perhaps a map of how it used to be. They always say there's more information at the gatehouse, but the gatehouse is always closed.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Ontario's Paranormal Investagators: Nice & beautiful but the hrs total suck trails should be open 24 hrs.

Lisa Ellis: Beautiful spot for a hike. Paid parking, free for HCA members. Lots of history here.

Gurj Bhullar: Good place for night out adventure

Scott Poppa: Great place to hike. No ghosts though..

Adam Cheaney: Very nice spot to visit. Besides the old Hermitage home there are many other reasons to visit. There are many trails to walk and hike. The trails are beginner level and good for kids. You can also visit the Hermitage Cascade which is a very nice water fall over Sulphur Springs Creek. I recommend checking it out for yourself.

Cathie Lemmond: Well kept trails. The little ones had fun climbing the moss covered rocks and making up lots of stories. The Hermitage ruins are wonderful for making up stories too. A great place for adventure!

Spencer Lindeman: Great trails and scenery. Connects with the Dundas Valley Conservation area. Definitely worth a try.

Kerrin Simon: So much history! Memorial: Resting place of 1812 unknown soldiers, immigrants & citizens. Also victims from ship fever 1847 & cholera 1854. British army barracks post War of 1812 used as cholera hospital until new hospital built in 1830s. Definitely worth a look. Old stonework still evident. Nice view of Cootes Paradise & Princess Point.

Candi P: Beautiful view, Harvey Park.

Andria Hexx: but when I stand back there I can imagine how incredible it must have been to live here back when it was in its glory!Definitely wander around & see the buildings besides the house also, my favourite is the little tower in the NE corner but there are a few interesting structures. Every time I come here I find it stirs my imagination and I wonder about the lives of the people who stayed here...Sad this place hasn't had the upkeep it deserves---it could be a real gem for the city & would be the perfect place for weddings and big events. But it remains a diamond in the rough until then.I would totally volunteer to do some work or groundskeeping here!
