Dee M: Walked over here while my sister did her driving test & had some breakfast. The lady cooked right away on a grill, no precooked food waiting to be microwaved. Service was nice, she even brought the food to my table.

Hung Tran: Awesome food at this restaurant! The place is full of fun and quirky decorations – particularly of this one cat. Incredibly underrated food. We came there on a weekend night for dinner, but it was quite empty. We were skeptical at first, but were completely blown away by the food. The ramen is delicious, and Chinese-inspired. The skewers were also tasty.

Zheng Chenhao: The bottom of the tomato pot is made of solid materials, all of which are freshly fried, and the taste is very strong and fragrant. Paired with grilled beef tongue and homemade sesame sauce, it tastes very exciting. The beef brisket rice bowl is full of meat, and there is still a lot of meat after the meal, which is very enjoyable to eat.

Helen Ferro: The food was great, honestly, like a 5-star restaurant. Not many people would know this restaurant / old night club would be so good. Restrooms are a lot of missing parts. Needs to be updated and cleaned regularly.Kid-friendliness: Waitress sweet and bubbly. Did actually get to try the menu. Said ice cream would be great. Wasn't disappointed. Got carb and pasta dish, so.. good. Friend got shrimp and salad was very good.
Aysha Adam (OakmountCo): It was date night last night, we braved the humidity and we experienced a delightful evening at Koi Seafood House. The breeze on the patio was welcomed. We saved our appetites all day and were not disappointed with the meal. Our portion sizes and the presentation were perfect. We had bruschetta with some oysters to start. We also shared the grilled Moroccan Octopus, the steak and were treated to the day's special the jerk swordfish. Everything was amazing and we would like to thank Chef Sam for helping create this perfect date night.

Jesse Seheult: When we were there we were greeted by Michael. Michael was absolutely fantastic smiling and laughing with us as we were joking around. He was patient with us not having had African food before. He was very thorough in explaining the different dishes and giving his recommendations. We ended up ordering the Shrimp, Choma, and Mbuzi, and shared between the three and each dish was beyond expectations. Everything was very delicious and we could not have asked for a better taste. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is unsure about African cuisine and is curious to try. I will DEFINITELY be coming back! 5 Stars!!!

Caitlin Tydd: I love that everything is gluten free! It’s almost impossible to find a restaurant that is strictly gluten free, and knowing that I can enjoy everything on the menu without worrying about getting sick, makes it a more enjoyable experience! Will definitely be back.
Meadowdoe W: My go to place when I don’t pack a lunch for work. It is so filling and healthy and is ready quickly. I never order ahead and am in and out in less than 10 mins when I show up on my lunch break. I usually get the Afro samurai, but I could literally eat an entire container of just the crab salad it is so good. I was so pumped they opened a location downtown since it’s closer to me.

Needless to say, mine doesn't come close to being as good as theirs. My hubby had their chaka khan bowl and it did not disappoint; everything was fresh and delicious. I was a little nervous about my 2 kids, who had never eaten poke before. They also chose BYOB with chicken as their protein, carrots, corn, cucumber and they loved it as well. If you have a chance to go to Poke Co, please do, I highly recommend it. I wish we had this same restaurant close to where I live, I would go there at least 2x per week.Kid-friendliness: Kids can pick their ingredients so it's sure to satisfy even the pickiest eaters.

Connie Johnson CJ: Had lunch here before shopping at the market. They have a hibiscus drink and I asked if it had a lot of sugar and she said it did. Lucky us, as they must have had capacity to whip us up some without the sugar and it was delicious! We each had 3 tacos and they were amazing. One had potato in it which I’ve never had before. The price was great! Our table had some specs of food, and when she delivered our drinks, she came back with a cloth and wiped it off. People had just left the table. Very nice people and awesome food!

I am really happy to see a vegan menu here 💕 i got tostada and pozole soup. i felt bad because i ordered and i didn’t know they were closing. staff was so sweet for serving us to-go. Portion was so generous and the food was so hearty and filling especially for vegan options it’s usually not much. The soup was definitely my favourite, very flavourful and loved the mushrooms. Will definitely come back. the food was priced on the higher side but for home made fresh food from a local small business, it is very worth it. will definitely come back and would recommend
samantha cheng: Located in Hamilton’s Farmer’s Market, this place is a true gem! I love the decor and the authenticity of the food. Servers were lovely. Tried the tacos birria which was really flavourful, the sauces are a must, and the chicken tostada, which tasted fresh with all the veggies, white bean spread, and generous amount of shredded chicken. Would love to try some other menu items!
