Kyle Andree: I have been diving since 1997. And since then I've had my junior open water. Nobody ever gave me a problem with it so I just dove with it all over the world. I would get sideways glances at 37 years old using the junior open water. But last year Mitch convinced me to do the advanced open water and continue my education into the sport we all love. I'm very glad I did this because I met some fantastic people while diving and one person in particular. I've actually went on several different adventures with the one adventure being Portugal. So if I had never taken the advanced course with rec & tec scuba, I never would have met one of the coolest people I know. Mitch is a stand up guy and will go the extra step to make sure that you get what you need. He also holds a lot of special sales. And over the years this has been probably one of the best dive shops I've ever attended anywhere

Michael Yemen: Awesome diveshop on the Mountain in Hamilton. The owner Mitch is a fantastic guy who really knows his stuff and takes great care of his customers. He takes pride in maintaining his air-fill station and providing the latest scuba products.As a dive instructor/guide who averages about 500 dives a year, I bring my gear in to be serviced and Glenn, the technician, does such a wicked job on them. I can't tell you how many times I've had a customer whose gear isn't working and they tell me "well I just had it serviced!"...classic. But Glenn does such an awesome job servicing my regs and BCD that I have NEVER had this issue.I literally trust these guys with my life and fully reccomended them!
Lightspeed Rehabilitation: My wife and I have been dealing with Mitch at Rec & Tek since we bought our first dive kit more than a decade ago. We won't go anywhere else to have our regulators and bcd's serviced. He is patient, even when I ask way too many questions before finally making a decision to buy. He has been a little too helpful aiding my wife buy her accessories and colorful wet suits. We had an issue with a dive computer that we purchased, but Mitch rectified the issue, and came up with a solution that again made us happy we deal with him. His customer service is second to none. We drive from Mississauga to Hamilton to deal with Mitch, even though there are plenty of other dive shops in Missisauga, Oakville and Toronto. He will take the time to get you the right gear.
Neil Fisher: I have been dealing with Mitch at Rec & Tec for over 10 years, he got me started diving with my open water and advanced courses. He helps me maintain and source equipment, is very knowledgeable about equipment and dive locations and I enjoy the dive seminars he puts together.

Michael Ladouceur: Needed new prescription lenses in new goggles. Visit to optical store was not the best solution. Visit to Bob's Scuba Shop in Hamilton proved to be well worth it. Robynne was very knowledgeable about masks AND lenses. Without being pushy, she suggested mask types, colours, etc. all to good effect. On top of that, they inserted new prescription lenses within 24 hours. The whole experience was professional, informative and very satisfactory. I can highly recommend Bob's Scuba Shop or any of your snorkelling or diving needs.

Josh Maltby: Marlins Scuba is a terrific place to learn the basics of diving and Ben provides classes to work your way up. Marlin's offers charter weekends which are always a fun and safe time 10/10
Carol Shimmin: Thorough and patient dive instruction! From the discovery introductory session to the course itself, to the pre-checkout refresher session, Ben and his team were patient, detailed, encouraging and incredibly knowledgeable. They allowed me to learn and practice the skills at my own pace. When I did my checkout in the Caribbean, I felt well prepared to cover the final open water training and certification. From somebody who didn't think they would ever be able to do this, to now being a certified diver, I can't recommend Marlins Scuba highly enough! Thank-you Ben and team!!!

Stephen Welton: I had a great experience with the crew at Marlin's when completing my Open Water Diving Course over April and into May 2018. Ben provided me with advice and great pricing on the basic diving gear. I would highly recommend checking in with Marlin's Scuba for gear if you are already a diver for pricing. I bet you'll be happily surprised. The course was spread out around my schedule and the course and pool work was completed close by at the Holiday Inn. We then went to Gullivers Lake somewhat close to home to complete the open water dives. Nothing like a gorgeous day for diving and bbq. All the dive masters working with Marlin's were also knowledgable of their craft. I would suggest if you've been thinking about Scuba Diving you consider Marlin's Scuba for your ACUC training.
Curtis: My fiance and I just completed our certification with Ben and his team and enjoyed it all. The instructors were super knowledgeable, friendly and patient. I picked marlins scuba because of the personalized, indepth teaching style with a very small group. We would recommend him and his team any day. He also has a large variety or equipment for sale at super reasonable prices.If you're looking to get in to scuba, this is the way to go. Forego all of those big scuba training centres and give Marlins Scuba your business. You'll be happy you did.
Robyn: This course was far beyond what I expected to learn, and the teachers are experts in their field. This is the kind of training that is befit a firefighter or military personnel. In other words, you won't feel insecure underwater. I am extremely grateful for Ben and the entire team of Dive Instructors and educators. I will be going back for the advanced courses. Thank you so much!!!
