Lee Smith: I recently picked up my 1960's bike from Anthony. My bike needed a full tune up as it was not rideable at all. The bike would wobble and the gears didn't work. Anthony fixed the gears, the tires and polished the chrome up for me. It's like a brand new bike. He even had me sit on the bike to ensure the seat was set for me. They didn't charge me much at all for parts, as we needed to replace the tube, tires were cracked as well. I paid about 100$ and walked away with a brand new bike. I cant wait to ride it this summer. It looks super retro and nice now. I just need a wicker basket and I'm good to go. Go see Anthony he'll take care of you. - Sarah

Karen Sheahan: My daughter had a triathlon practice meet and this shop helped us get her seized seat out and bought a new one. We have to get the stem extended now that she grew and this will definitely be the place we go to! Love this place we couldn’t say enough great things. Used bikes and bikes for unbelievable prices definitely a go to if you have kids that are growing.

Charlie Hannah: I support community bike shops as I feel they’re services are important for communities and individuals to empower themselves in a variety of ways. However the vibe in here was pretty macho. Senior mechanic seemed annoyed I was asking basic questions about how to troubleshoot some issues that needed some specialized tools. I find it unfortunately common in bike shops that when I display my knowledge of mechanics as a women to be somehow threatening or…..something to male mechanics. Stop assuming women don’t know what they are doing, it’s hella annoying. Otherwise great staff and sweet set up. But the egos, yikes.
Daniel Tavares: MUST VISIT SHOP!!! Did you get a flat tire? Are your gears slipping when you peddle? Do you love your bike but wish you had a different set of pedals or that your handle bars had a different setup? Then go to new hope. I had a great experience fixing up my bike that needed a tuneup and I wanted some changes for my comfort when riding. I also am not a millionaire and have a tight budget. So I made some time and took my bike to their shop which offers bike repair and tuneup services, however I love learning and love to tinker so I went the route of their DYI option. With their tips and tricks along the way, used/new parts availability, access to all sorts of tools etc, I was able to make my old bike into my new “green beast”! It’s great to learn about what your riding so if something does happen when your out on a trail or in the middle of no where, then you have some knowledge from doing the tune ups and repairs along with their teams help.Great people and community programs so it’s definitely a must to visit!

P. Mullins: Love the program. Bought my bike here very cheap a few years ago and the bike is fantastic!!! My friends see it all over town and know I’m around when they see it. Another friend tried to buy it off me, because my bike is so cool now. Obviously I said no. Haha. It was great seeing young people employed at this store. I’ve never had anything go wrong with the bike, I’ve not even needed new tires. I bought some lights from the dollar store and it was all good to go. I would come back anytime and I highly recommend it.

Christine DeMerchant: I bought an E-bike from Hamilton Electric Bikes. I called ahead and they prepared some suggestions that fitted my preferences. They are located very conveniently near the QEW so it's easy to get to. They are by a hill and a cluster of quiet streets so it's easy to try the bikes. They are knowledgeable and actually listen to you, and can answer questions intelligently. They keep quite a large number of bikes in the shop so you can try several models. I bought a bike and have been using it for a few weeks. I am completely satisfied and would recommend them with no reservation whatsoever.

Stef: that was received from Sam at All the Right Gears. I stumbled upon this bike shop when I was new to the sport and knew right away this was the place to go. More recently preparing for my Ironman race Sam took me in and was able to repair my bike as if it were his own! He goes above and beyond to make sure the job is done right. I cannot thank him more for getting me to the finish line. I've found as a female in this sport it can often be difficult to find a bike shop that will take me seriously. You won't have a problem here. Again, a huge thank you to Sam. Don't hesitate to drop by to check them out- you won't want to go anywhere else.

David Rees64: I was looking for a specific XC MTB that Specialized had on their website, called around to all the local stores with no avail, called Specialized and they said none available at this time in Canada. Called Sam at All the Right Gears and he was able to locate one in my size with the equipment I was looking for, Sam came through big time. Was also looking for a specific brand of tires for my new ride and Sam ordered it and it arrived a week later. If they don't have what you need in the store, they can order it for you. Bicycle stores can't stock everything thats out there, but they can get it for you, and thats exactly what All the Right Gears can do for you. Paul: Sam is very personable and excellent to deal with. He's an experienced cyclist himself and very knowledgable about frame sizing. He spent a lot of time with me to fit my new bike and allowed me to test ride before buying! His shop is fully equipped for any maintenance or repairs and their parts inventory is amazing! We searched for bicycle shops and decided to go to this one because it opened 1st and was easy to get to. stephen stewart: I've been coming to pete for all my ebike needs for a while now and he always does amazing work at a great price, And he only sells the best. Golectric is the best ebike shop in Hamilton, nobody else comes close.

And the winner for us were two Slane-Rideau Ebikes which I purchased from Peter the owner of Golectric. What a nice, knowledgeable, easy going guy he is. You know if you have an issue with the bike he will attend it promptly and is also a fountain of knowledge about all things in the bicycle world and local trails throughout the greater Hamilton area. He earned and very much deserved my business.

I went to 6 other cycle shops before a friend recommended going to see Bicycle Works in Waterdown. It is well worth the drive! I spoke first with Paul on the phone and was very helpful and friendly. When we came into the shop he took the time and went above and beyond to ensure I had the proper fit and walked me through how to fit them, how to adjust them for my bike and some tips and tricks. His shop is welcoming, well stocked, and has amazing selection. Paul makes you feel like family and his knowledge of bikes and equipment is second to none. Bicycle Works should be your ONLY stop when looking for accessories or a bike. 5 STARS!!!
