Sam Samida: Hip style bar on James. Small place but cozy and stylish. Great dishes. Nice drinks. Tequila were fraction of what we paid last night but harsh. Still we went through many of them. Great crowd and. we had fun with many arriving. We will be coming back here. Love the atmosphere. Many tvs to watch sport while chitchatting with everyone around. What a nice evening

Always smiling and welcoming staff, the standard pub menu is envisioned a little different and is definitely fresher and tastier than the frozen chain stuff. What ever sports game is big that day will be in eye shot on the Big screen or 2 smaller TVs. I have no doubt you walk away smiling full and satisfied looking forward to come back!Kid-friendliness: Standard kids favourites done a little bit better…Parking: Street parking so may be a 30 sec to minute walkWheelchair accessibility: Level surfaces with a 6 inch rise to get in the main door with an open layout to get around.

Market Rant: Very cool place for a drink. Makes a good date night. Has a speakeasy vibe, very nonchalant, with excellent cocktails. The cocktails are interesting and well made with quality ingredients. They have a great bitters and alcohol selection with some premium and lesser-known bottles. I will have to come back to review the food, but the snack menu pairs nicely with the drinks.

Jeanette Pattison: Only 4 stars on atmosphere only because it was very chilly. Otherwise, a great place for snacks or dinner. They have a very extensive menu so you'll have no problem finding something that you like. Our server was very good and very friendly. I would go back. Their potato skins were delicious! Neala Ciancone: I posted in a FB group looking for the best Dive bar in Hamilton and got some great suggestions. To be clear, I don’t say Dive maliciously, I’ve worked them. I love them. I truly prefer them to the fancy/trendy bars. But you have to find the right one. And the bar was set pretty high last night with Ed’s. The wings/poutine deal was awesome. The fries were CRISPY! I’ve seriously never had a poutine that wasn’t a soggy mess before. And the wings were perfect. It’s a small menu but the man knows how to cook.But the best part, even better than the food and reasonably priced booze was the staff. The owner Scott and bartender Sarah were super friendly without being overbearing, and you could tell they truly cared about every customer. Ed’s is a hidden gem and Scott deserves to see that place packed.

Erica Nichol: All of the bartenders and the owner are super friendly, as far as I'm concerned the only bar in town. If you like friends, fun and karaoke nights this is the spot. They have lots of board games and the occasional comedy night.Wheelchair accessibility: It is accessible, there is a ramp to the door.

Timothy Smith: Had a great meal here. Was walking by with my date while on the wait list for another nearby restaurant. We loved the look of their large patio area, so cancelled the other place and went in. Food, service, and atmosphere were all superb! They had two soups-of-the-day to choose from, which was a pleasant surprise. We'll be back for sure!

K. G. Da Costa: A terrific bar, The Argyle unites both the decor of the private library of some privileged family estate, AND a nonetheless warmly welcoming, casual, neighborhood-hangout vibe. The staff is accommodating, the drinks are great & the patrons are friendly. There is unfortunately no hot pub fare, but interestingly, customers may bring along or have delivered their own food...!
