He really put me at ease by explaining everything thoroughly and managing my expectations. Jamie, with all of his experience, told me that just by a visual inspection he was able to tell me that there was in fact asbestos wrap around some of the pipes and wrote me a letter to that effect. This saved me the $350 for testing, note the cost was higher as I was requesting an expedited testing process, and he did it for free. The other company had given us this huge quote and it didn't sit well with us that they had never seen our house. I contacted Mike and asked if he could come take a look and do an inspection. Mike was kind, incredibly accommodating, and honest. Turns out there wasn't asbestos, and he gave us some great education on what to look for. It's hard when you're dealing with something that's as nerve wracking as asbestos, and Mike was honest and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone needing the services he provides, he's a wonderful person.
Laura Gillespie: Mike from Safe 'N' Sound Environmental Services provided excellent customer service every step of the way from quote & inspection to the final removal of the mold growth in my attic space . I was working against a closing date for my house and Mike answered all of my questions - very patient, friendly and managed to squeeze me in on a Saturday to make the deadline. Mike and Tony arrived on schedule and the treatment was completed, and only completed when all mold was removed. I have two attic spaces and one is very small and it is very hard to breath in there by afternoon - my husband only lasted about 10 seconds and had to come down - I don't know how these guys do it, because it is very hard work and it is like working in a very cramped boiler room - but they got the job done and I'm very happy with the service provided and I will definitely be referring Mike at Safe 'N' Sound to all my friends and family. Upon arriving, he was on time and walked through with me for not only the parts that we saw the mold but also areas under the baseboard where mold was already growing. I was very impressed by his knowledge level.The work Mike had done was completely above my expectation. After I returned home, not only all the affected area are removed but also treated in a very clean stage. But most importantly, I was expecting to do some vacuuming after the work and I was wrong. Karin Haley: We had Miral Renovation Services complete drywall and painting after a flood in our basement. They did a wonderful job. They were fast and efficient. They left no debris and even covered our hardwood floors with brown paper when they were coming through the house to get to the basement. The workers were pleasant and helpful if we needed any clarification. Communication was excellent. They will be returning to install the baseboard once our new carpet is installed. We would highly recommend them.

I often find you lose the personal touch when working with larger companies… this was not the case with Winmar.Matt, Taylor and all the office staff have been great to work with. yan wizler: This is my first time hiring Ian for a commercial building inspection. He showed up on time despite a 5 hour travel time, was very polite and professional. Upon inspection we found that water had been seeping through the metal roof tiles, had accumulated on the inside roof floor and was captured by plastic coverings laid on the floor. Seller never disclosed this issue. Issues arising from this included bad indoor air quality, a need for complete roof installation, mould remediation and allergen sampling. The building being old, also required asbestos removal. No one, looking at the building could have guessed the amount of water being retained in the roof and the degradation of air quality. Due to his commitment to give excellent service, he saved us from purchasing a problematic property, highly overvalued for the problems observed. Very experienced, honest & highly recommended.
