Edmonton Guitar Music School: what do users think?

steven lee: Amazing staff and the teachers are so VERY good with the kids learning to play.

Kyle: If you want to learn how to play guitar, go here. If you kind of know how to play and want to improve, go here. If you know how and still want to improve, go here. Basically, go here to learn or improve your guitar playing.

B E: Started lessons at EGMS a little over a year and a half ago, Matt and Kamil and the entire team have been great. While I have a lot to learn, and am sure that this team will be assisting and helping me learn and grow in my journey with the guitar for some time!

Brian Slaney: My 12 year old daughter said she wanted to learn and I could not be happier about my choice to bring her here. She loves the instructors, the easy schedule and the breakout of different classes. I like how friendly the staff are and how easy it is to leave her with them. She is also progressing very well and is excited to see her own skill increase.

Laurence Braun-Woodbury: I've been taking classes at EGMS for a year now. My guitar playing has improved significantly; I'm more comfortable with the instrument and I'm out of old ruts. The administrative staff have been kind and helpful, and the teachers have been insightful and knowledgeable. It has been an excellent experience. I would recommend EGMS to musicians at all levels.

Megan Moores: I have been taking lessons here for several years now and it has always been a wonderful experience. Bailey Sutton has been teaching me almost from day one. The whole team a has helped me grow with this new skill. They have flexible hours throughout the week. If life happens and you have to miss a class, you can make it up at a later date, and it's a fun environment to learn in. I have been very thankful for the online classes, both due to the pandemic, as well as to help save time in the evenings. This is a fantastic place to learn guitar or piano, I would HIGHLY recommend 👌

Maxime Flibotte: Have been taking piano lessons for a couple years with Bailey as my teacher, I’ve had no issues or complaints. The teachers are insightful and are there to help you learn about your instrument better, whether you practice on your own time to improve your skills further is up to you! If you’re looking for personal one on one classes you may have to discuss that with them because it tends to be more group lessons but sometimes that gives you that extra incentive to practice more and really test your skills.

conradschulte1: and understand how music is put together, completely mind blowing! What I like is that even though I attend two hours of lessons per week, my homework is probably only 15 minutes per day, but if I stick to it, certain skills

Jocelyn Perrin: My husband has been taking lessons with the Edmonton Guitar Music School for only four months, but has learned more in that time than he did in 15 months with other instructors. His technical understanding of the guitar and his general ability and confidence has increased tremendously. The instructors and staff are amazing, and we would recommend this school to anyone.

John Sexsmith: Amidst Covid, I decided to take guitar lessons. From Priscilla at the Front Desk, to the Instructors, this is a first class operation. Friendly, helpful and professional. I'm learning a lot and love playing the guitar. Thanks in large part -- to Kamil. He makes the sessions fun, informative and easy to understand. His analogies are outstanding, his knowledge is impressive and his enthusiasm is infectious. Two strums up!

Tracy Loveridge: . I was more than impressed by your sensitivity to my apprehension. Which then led me through the front door....Fast forward: I attended my complimentary session with Kamil and was satisfied that I'd found the right place to begin my journey of learning to play the guitar. Kamil is an awesome instructor; very personable, patient and has been a wealth of information since I began lessons approximately 6 months ago. There have been days and times where I've felt as though I'm not progressing, however Kamil continues to be encouraging. Every class is different, so there is plenty to learn and lots of variety, plus I love the song choices that Kamil provides each week.Lastly, Priscilla at the front is awesome. She's friendly and always helpful when it comes to scheduling lessons.I'm looking forward to the next 6 months and beyond. Thanks to all of you at EGMS - you're an awesome group of people!

Mitchell Fuchs: I started at EGMS about a year ago, and the classes are amazing. Its a much more structured approach to guitar classes than I personally had taken previously, and for me this method works awesome. The instructors are very personable and eager to help you on your way to whatever it is you would like to achieve with the guitar. The way the classes are scheduled is great, they understand that sometimes life happens you might have to miss a class here and there but it's not a big deal at all, they allow you to make up the class at a time that works better for you so no more feeling guilty about missing it. They keep things interesting too, I'm always excited to see what I will be learning this week. Really would recommend 100% to anyone looking to pick up the instrument.

Ron Haukenfrers: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI’ve been a student at the school for over a year now and I look forward to each and every class! Kamil’s enthusiasm for music is infectious and he always encourages his students to go that little bit further every week.

michael albrecht: I have been attending EGMS for 2 years now. I have improved more in that time than the previous 6 or 7 years of trying other in person and online methods. I have learned what to practice and HOW to practice to obtain results.Flexible class times and now, the ability to attend class remotely, has made it easy to make time during a busy schedule and the ability to focus on specific subjects.Great experience!

Brad Van Der Putten: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueGreat quality of instruction for a fair value. Tomasso is an absolute wealth of knowledge and Kamil is an immensely talented instructor, able to seamlessly blend his passion for music with his knowledge and ability to simply explain complex topics. This is, in my opinion, the best guitar school in the city.

Matthew Dillman: can improve your playing. When I first started, I had a lot of minor habits I did without even realizing it. Once it was shown to me, I was able to correct my playing and improve my proficiency as a guitarist.Highly recommend EGMS.

Megan Haubrich: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value“There is not enough words to explain my gratitude to Kamil, Percilla, Tomasso, and Eva. The Edmonton School of Guitar is a family, sharing the goal of enjoying music. All staff are understanding, welcoming, and encouraging. Couldn’t have asked for any better place for learning.” Megan. H

Watts Up Electrical: Kamil, Tommaso, and Priscilla are very talented, knowledgeable, friendly and patient with beginners. They have made it easy and fun to learn at any age.

Resonate Music School & Studio: what do users think?

Kara Marchand: I started working at Resonate around October of 2022 and have never experienced such a lively and community based work environment - the degree of camaraderie between students, teachers, family and staff has been carefully cultivated and refined over the years, and it's a beautiful thing to see people returning each week enthusiastic to spend time and energy on learning more about their passion and instruments. I believe music is about personal practice but also community, and Resonate is a special place that makes it accessible to find your personal artistic identity while also building relationships that help to make your own musical journey fruitful, in both play and practice.

Kelly Scott: I've worked at Resonate for over a year now and it has been hands down one of the best decisions I've ever made. I get to work with incredibly talented, compassionate, beautiful humans every single day AND the students/families are the cherry on top. It's a super positive and supportive environment with killer music..whats better than that?

Wai S: Love it here!! The teachers are super nice, professional and great with teaching younger kids! They offer scheduling for lessons easy to arrange. Each year they have a recital held at The Rec Room which is amazing! Such a wonderful experience for the kids!

Nathan Schadeck: Resonate out classes any other music school by far. They offer so much more than just a lesson and I have had some great experiences being a part of resnation thus far! If you are intertrrested in taking lessons don’t hesitate to sign up!

Reality Vlogger: My son has been taking singing lessons with this school for almost three years. The school is amazing and the teachers are all great. I highly recommend this music school to anyone looking into learning a new instrument or taking singing or recording lessons ... I can’t say enough good things about them... with the concerts and recitals offered to the students to participate in to their fabulous foundation to assist families in need to take lessons, it’s a wonderful environment for learning...

Michael Pelletier: I can’t say enough about the professionalism and enthusiasm of the owners and teachers! I highly recommend Resonate Music for anyone looking to learn an instrument or record an album!

Brian Christensen: These folks are so committed to staying on the cutting edge in their field, and it shows every day in the way they deliver their services to the community. Awesome teachers, fantastic management, and a really new and bold model for music education. Would recommend to anybody that wants to stay engaged in and enthusiastic about what they’re learning.

Kelly Cromwell: , they've successfully created a place you just want to hang out in. I was enrolling my son into piano lessons, but after I caught a glimpse of the DMP Room

Jared Milligan: Wow. Second locations usually try to replicate the original, but this one has a fresh vibe and aesthetic, yet it feels very familiar. Central West Edmonton can now take advantage of the amazing teachers, programs, and benefits that come with becoming a Resonate Member!

Dominelli School of Music: what do users think?

Jc Clbs: One of the best music schools in Edmonton! If you want to teach your child in a proper way, enrol them here. The instructors are very nice and kind! They will make sure that your child will learn in the best way and most fun method available! The facility is good too, very warm environment! The recitals at the end were grand!

Henok Ghebremicael: Great teachers, Great programs

Stephanie Laidler: We love this school! They try so hard to put the student in command of their skills. My son has been taking voice and guitar for more than 4 years with Dominelli, and his skills, confidence, and happiness are off the charts. He's had 2 different voice teachers and 2 different guitar teachers in that time, but that was our choice, not theirs. He is 12 now and loves going to music. They are so accommodating for any pandemic concerns, offering online lessons, which are great if you end up needing to isolate. Dominelli was the only constant in my sons life during the 2020 shut down, and it gave us such comfort to know he could 'see' Jeremy once a week even in the pandemic. The costs are fair, the cancellation/rebooking policy is the best out there, and the teachers and staff are worth more than what you pay for - they respond to any concerns you have within one day. You can tell this school works hard to be there for their students and their families, and it shows.

Hazen Hart: Lots of fun, relaxing atmosphere

Amy Marie Collins: I signed my daughter up for Piano and Yoga. So far the experience is going good. I find it to have a nice environment. It has a nice feeling to it and everyone that works there and attends there seems to just have good energy. I look forward to going there weekly. The prices are fair and their cancellation policy is the best i've seen.

Candice Chin: My son went to the Rock camp this past summer and he loved it so much. He had the chance to explore and learn all the different musical instruments for his very first time. The class was a good size so each child still received the right amount of learning and attention from the teacher. My son loved Stasia and she was very good with the children. She was approachable and well liked by all the kids. This camp has further aroused my son's interest in music and ukulele. He will be taking ukulele lessons at Dominelli this fall. The Rock camp is perfect for a child to explore his music interest and the specific lessons he wants to further pursue.

Melissa Diederichs: My two daughters have been going to Dominelli Scool of Music for many years now taking voice and piano. Our music teacher is Marissa and we feel so lucky to have met such a wonderful person who is so pleasant and communicates in such a warm caring way which only nurtures my girls love of music even more. As a parent I see how dedicated the instructors and staff are and their number one priority is that the kids are having fun while learning music. To see how much the program has grown and physically expanded over the years makes me happy because they are able to reach out to more kids to offer music and the arts. It truly is something special when I see my kids participating in recitals with such courage and at home to hear them tinkering on the piano creating their own melodies and singing songs. Thank you Brandy for all your smiles, hugs, dedication and support!

Erick CornerstoneA: Our daughter V started her first day of school yesterday. Since it’s our first child we were very nervous. We arrived & were introduced to a wonderful, professional, pleasant staff & felt at ease. We are confident it will continue to work out. Thanks DSM,Erick & Suzy

truc nguyen: Dominelli is amazing in communication, I can't wait to see their new studio and start my first piano lesson, it was my childhood dream. Music is a good way to leave your stress behind.

AKG Pro: My daughter went there for Rock Camp this summer and Anastasia was AMAZING! As a child with special needs she was made to feel safe and supported through her whole experience. As a parent I felt confident that she would be well taken care of. Each day she came home raving about how great her day was and can’t wait to go back. Her love of music made learning fun and the kids put on a great show for us at the end of the week. Stasia taught them to work together and help each other, while learning theory and skills to play multiple instruments. Thank you so much for being so wonderful!

Izabel Dias: Our kids love going for their music lessons at the Dominelli School of Music, North side, they have been attending classes for over 2 years, my daughter plays the Ukulele and is now doing vocals and my son is learning to play the guitar. Our friends and family are amazed to see these young kids perform so well in such a short time. Their Teachers Jeremy and Stasia are dedicated and extremely talented. They both have brought out the hidden talents in my kids. The staff are very professional and friendly. Brandy is a wonderful person and has couple of times helped to work to accommodate the kids schedule, specially for my son who's soccer practice gets in the way. I would also say that truly this is an amazing music school.

Rob Falconer: From the owners to the teachers and administrative staff, we simply can't say enough fantastic things about Dominelli School of Music! OUr son has been taking drum lessons at the school for 2.5 years and absolute loves his instructors. The opportunities students are given to hone their craft are second to none. Truly a great music school!

YAN CHEN: Nice teacher. Good place for learn.

Michelle Chong-Gragasin: . The two recitals every year are casual yet give the kids a great opportunity to show what they have accomplished in awesomeprofessional venues. I’m so thankful to Barb and the other lovely staff who help answer the phone as they have always tried to help accommodate our schedule however they can. I’ve been impressed with Brandi and her vision for Dominelli’s since we started here and will continue to support them and recommend them to friends and family :

Tina Cummins: Very supporting staff. Cant wait for the new classes for my autistic son, its rare to have classes like this and its close to home for once, yay!

Qiong Wang: We love Dominelli Music North Edmonton. My daughter has been their piano student for 2 years. She tried a group piano session at the beginning, and found a learning partner from the group. Now she is having the private piano lesson, and practicing 5-6 times a week. BTW, we’ve also tried their preschool program for 1 year. Small class, nice teachers, lots of music and crafts, and many other fun activities! Highly recommend Dominelli Music school.

N M: Excellent music school!! My daughter absolutely loves it. All the staff is amazing but she just loves Sara. Thanks for making her learning extra special!!!

Society For Talent Education - Music School: what do users think?

Beth Hunter: STE has been a second home for my daughter for many years now. We have loved the caring teachers, performance opportunities, and especially the holistic Suzuki philosophy. Our daughter loves the opportunity to play music with other kids, and has enjoyed the variety in the group classes. She has gained so much confidence in a variety of settings.

Lu Jiayuan: My two kids have been with STE for over 5 years with one learning cello and the other one learning violin. The philosophy of Suzuki triangle of parent teacher student has made learning more fun and engaging for all family members. We see school program evolving and expanding throughout years. Other than all the string instruments, it now has other popular ones such as piano, guitar and early childhood class which I wish they could have offered 5 years ago. The school has a significant amount of group activities that a normal private teaching studio normally wouldn't have. Every year my kids participate in orchestra, chamber, masterclass, summer camp and many community events with solo performance opportunities.Like most parents, we are sensitive to price, too. After doing my math by factoring in the amount of group activities it offers, I find the pricing is way lower than the private studio. The market price for 1 hour private lesson is usually around $60, but we pay the school almost half of the market price counting both private and group lessons each year. The school is spacious with several large and bright studios all having windows that obviously give nice ventilation during the pandemic. One plus for family with babies and small children is there is sink and microwave in some classroom and hallway which is especially useful when there is situation...., and also big playground right outside for kids to relax after the class.Talking of quality of the lessons, both teachers for my kids have Ph.Ds in music who are super professional and organized in class. The school has a team of faculty to choose from, and the staff are very friendly and responsive to our requests.Overall, we are having a wonderful experience so far and looking forward to more exciting future performance events....

Dina G: A great place to learn to play string instruments following the Suzuki method.

Revolution Music West Edmonton: what do users think?

Eric Lam: I was very fortunate to find Dan to teach my daughter drumming. Dan taught her really well. She has learned and become disciplined and dedicated to drumming. She did a recital in just three months. I know Dan also teaches other musical instruments. I highly recommend Dan if you or your child want to get into music.

Jolene Williams: I signed my 8yr old daughter Izzy up for lessons with Dan as a Christmas gift. She started off barely being able to sing in front of me, and after just a couple of months she sang with confidence in front of her whole immediate family. She now sings loud and proud everywhere we go. I couldn't thank Dan enough for all the confidence and encouragement he gave her. You are truly amazing, and your family is so welcoming. Thank you so much Dan!

Jodi-Ann Sadler: Dan is a great teacher who knows a lot about music. He is very patient and explains the how and the why of the lessons being taught. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking to learn or improve their music playing and music theory skills.

Thank you for sponsoring Izzy! God bless you moreDan was really helpful throughout my entire time being there, and I liked the encouragement he gives in his lessons and his teaching style is fit for learning. He is fun and experienced teacher, and he makes sure you aren’t stuck on one thing the entire time. All of his advice is helpful and his teachings are effective in my learning. People might misjudge him and think the opposite when it’s just a student completely unengaged in helpful lessons. Dan is always prepared and is very patient with his students, and he is ready to give his all to teaching great musicians.God Bless

Steven Butler: Dan is very knowledgable when it comes to the technical aspects of music as well as playing music, which he does with various instruments. He has been very patient as a teacher and really wants me to learn. Remote lessons via Zoom have worked very well.

Prabaldeep Kaur: I have been going to guitar classes for a while now and I feel I have really improved and over all I enjoy and look forward to the classes and The fact that I can learn and enjoy the process at the same time is really important to me and I hope to continue!

It’s always encouraging to see how patient and understanding he is. Thank you Dan!

Backbeat: what do users think?

Nina Lawrence: Excellently tailored classes for children.Bigger beats offers the students an opportunity to try a particular instrument for a few months - enough time to learn the basics of the instrument, a song, and to also keep the interest alive in music, even if that instrument doesn't end up being their favourite. My 6 year old daughter was gifted a ukulele and wanted to learn more. That's how we found out about Backbeat. Since enjoying Bigger Beats - Ukulele class, my daughter has taken another Bigger Beats class - Vocals. Her excitement and sense of rhythm are growing each class and she can't wait for the Piano and later the Drums classes.

Maxwell R: My sons been coming here since he was 4 and he loves it. They make it fun to learn.

Jamie MacDonald: Both my son a daughter went to Backbeat. I am a long time musician and I was amazed at how fast and how well they started playing. The summer courses are a great way to see if your child is really into it and Backbeat takes care of the rest to keep them interested and playing in bands and performing.Dan and Nella are simply the best!

Shannon Mageau Webb: Makes learning music fun! Great communication! Great ideas! My daughter LOVES learning here!

Allison Meston: Amazing staff, great music, teaching kids chords vs traditional theory and they love it. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Giselle Denis: Think of the movie, “School of Rock” and that is this school! My son has been taking drum lessons here for 5 years. If you’re looking for a non-traditional style of learning that is relaxed & super fun for your kids, send them here! I’ve also been taking guitar lessons here for my second year & I love it. They have the best teachers for those of us looking for an alternative style of learning by quality teachers. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Brian Neufeld: , encouraging and supportive. The staff is great and are flexible with scheduling to accommodate other activities. I highly recommend the experience for anyone looking for to grow their inner musician.

Edmonton Online Music Lesson Studio: what do users think?

Beth Hunter: Our daughter has had numerous music teachers on several instruments for comparison, and we confidently say that the instruction at Edmonton Online Music Lessons has been exceptional. Eric has been masterful at pulling together different concepts she has learned over the years. We were unsure that we would get the kind of quality we were looking for with online instruction, but Eric is very attuned to our daughter's mood, interests, and capacity on any given day and has kept lessons fun while helping her challenge herself.

Jesse Edgington: Our family would highly recommend Eric as your new music teacher! He is skilled and passionate about music and is able to translate that passion in very tangible ways to his students. When he started with our child, he did not have one prescribed agenda but took the time to find out what interested our child and to determine the best style of learning for them. He is flexible to listen and learn what motivates our son and is able to weave in the things that do not come so easily. We wondered if moving to online classes would be challenging but have found that they have not missed a beat together. Eric has been flexible with our schedule, keeps our child's attention well and helps them continue to learn on the digital platform. We love not having to travel for lessons and now with the gift of technology, others can benefit from Eric's teaching too.

Chris Mikulin: Eric has transformed the kids’ attitude about piano from refusing to practice to begging to be first for their weekly lesson. They both look forward to their time with Eric on FaceTime, and moving from physical lessons to virtual over the past few months has actually helped increase their focus. Eric is always cheerful, kind, and positive. His student-led approach to teaching takes the pressure off, making the kids actually want to learn more piano and practice throughout the week. He is very adaptable and able to assess the kids’ fluctuating interest and energy levels to go with the flow and get the most out of their lesson time each week. We have had Eric as our piano teacher for two years now and strongly recommend him as a teacher for any level of music instruction.
