Craig Forsberg: Fantastic, accommodating shop! I wasn't paying attention and walked in while the store was closed. They had a private event happening and forgot to lock the door - so in I strolled - but rather than shoo me out, which I would have been fine with, a couple of the staff took me aside and helped me get a healthy slab of beef bone-in plate short ribs, which is exactly what I was shopping for all morning at other shops with no success. I felt like I was being a pest and intruding, but they opened up a till and hooked me up rather than chase me out of the store - which, again, would have been fine with me! I was all set to come back the next day, but they were so accommodating - and great to chat with as I unwittingly interrupted a private event. So sorry! But also, thank you! Can't wait to get this slab on the smoker.
Sonja Jenkins: Great butchery with a wonderful selection. We also had a beef sandwich that was really yummy.
Serena Wagner: This is hands down my favorite meat shop in the city. They have an enormous selection of aged and butchered meats, including occasional unusual cuts such as tongue and cheek. Huge shout out to the manager, Jared, who knows the products inside and out and has a commendable wealth of knowledge about the cuts and how to prepare them. Their steaks are fabulous and extraordinary quality, as is their house-made pastrami and liver pate. We have done taste tests between them and other butchers in the city and they also stand head and shoulders above others for the quality of the meat. Their breads are always fresh-baked and stellar. It's not the cheapest place to get meat in the city, but here you really do get what you pay for.
K H: Always a great place to grab a top notch sandwich. Keep you ete our for the BBQ beef or my favorite the Pork Schnitzel. You can't go wrong with pork.Get a high quality cut of meet here.Ps make sure don't leave without a sausage roll. Normally I'm not a fan but these guys have it figured out... delicious!!

Gary O: The cost/quality ratio of their sandwiches is insanely good. I recently spent $9 on a giant sandwich with house made bread and mortadella. I don’t know how they are able to keep the price that low but it is very appreciated.Although this is an upscale store, prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of the product. When it comes to every day items, such as ground beef, it is comparable to a grocery store, but the quality is so noticeably better I can’t justify buying ground beef elsewhere now.

Josh Fedorchuk: Great quality and many of the prices are acceptable, however, my wife brought me home a piece of pepperoni today that was $10 for a single piece priced at $70 per kilogram I seemed a little bit steep to me as the best beef jerky I can get my hands on from wilhawks is 88 per kg beef is more expensive than pork and jerky dries out far more than what is used to make pepperoni
MCB385: I actually went there to pick up eggs but that's another story. It's a large clean space with well displayed food. Picked up some beef osso bucco and almost gave in to beef and pork fat but my arteries complained. They have some interesting looking sausages and I picked up bison pepperoni which was a bit dry with a texture that's almost liverlike but there was a nice spice hit in the spicey. I have some jerky but haven't tried it yet. It's a bit expensive but the meat is all local and looks good so I don't mind paying a bit more sometimes. Will I go back? Maybe but it is a pain yo get to.

Kati Buhler: I cannot rave enough about our flowers for the wedding day. They have an option where you purchase flowers by the bucket at a ridiculously reasonable price. We purchased two buckets and were able to make 5 bridesmaid bouquets, my bouquet, plus two corsages, with enough left over for décor. Bryanna chose the most beautiful and unique flowers! Because they are grown locally, you get species you wouldn’t normally find at a florist. If you love beautiful flowers and being sustainable, Bar OA Farms needs to be on your radar!
T B: excellent price. The flowers we picked were GORGEOUS and there was so much selection that I couldn't even fit one of each flower in my bucket. As a grumpy 34 year old man who begrudgingly has avoided buying flowers his whole life because he thought they were a silly waste of money all I have done today is stare at our beautiful bouquets on the dinner table hahaha. I will definitely be back.

Dean Fitterer: Took my class to this facility. Not at all what I expected...it was better. I knew my students and asked the questions before going to ensure that the facility supported my students. The staff were very knowledgable not only about the type of farming done on the site, but also with the history of the site and the people who plant there. The students had a great time. Look forward to Covid disappearing so my students can reap the benefits of farming within the urban setting.

A Person: I can't believe I didn't review these guys sooner, because I want to let it be known that if you're like me, trying to support local businesses, you really can't go wrong with Meathead. It's not even about what they sell to me, it's that they make the effort to endear themselves to the community.Now I hadn't been here in quite a while, so when I had a day off from work, I decided to stop by for their customer appreciation BBQ. The people who manned the grill were very welcoming and laid back, and seemed quite happy to be able to bring people together. The burgers and smokies were delicious, and I had a good helping of both. One of the folks manning the grill was talking about his line of BBQ sauces, Mickey Jays. Liquid Gold was the sauce they used in particular on the food, and man-oh-man, that stuff was SO good, that before I left for home, I went inside the store and picked me up two bottles, as well as a few extras. The service at checkout was just as welcoming, and it was the highlight of my day for sure. I'll definitely be coming back to try out the rest of the Mickey Jays line, as well as some other goodies, too. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area.Thank you, Meathead!

Li D: In exchange for helping out, you can pick up some herbs and other garden veggies/fruits afterwards depending on how much they've grown. The volunteer leaders are super cool and there's a friendly cat who drops in now and then. I don't believe any pesticides are used on the farm.

Wade Gibson: The best eggs ! I have been through so many brands and not great. My partner has 3 hard boiled eggs for his lunch, every day and to peel these eggs….. a charm! What ever you are doing or feeding them , don’t change! 5 stars
