The Daily Bread Cafe is now open 8:00 am - 3:30 pm, though it will be closed July 14 - 18 due to construction. Soup4U is closed for July and August 2023. At St John's we value the importance of sharing a meal or refreshment, breaking bread. This coming together over food and drink, is important in sustaining something that defines us—community. Whether this takes place in our residence, the Daily Bread Cafe, Soup4U, the Academic Senior Common Room or at one of our many catered events, St John's College Food Services reinforces this underlying value by offering reasonably priced, professionally presented, wholesome and varied menu choices.

With a community of just 100 residents, it's easy to feel at home. Programs, activities, intramural teams, socials, Residence Council, Dons' Programs, banquets and other special events combine to give a real vibrancy to our community life. Our student tutors, study hall, computer lab and study/quiet hours enhance your ability to perform academically.

Take a program in our School of Health or School of Community Services and get a mix of instructor-led online courses and in-person sessions. You’ll get the opportunity to gain hands-on skills in a classroom setting and experience flexible online study. Gain a well-rounded education with our hybrid programs.


We’ve invested in new initiatives to enhance the student experience. Collaborate with peers at The Junction, our new on-campus co-working space and meet with like-minded students in organized Peer Groups. You can also interact with your instructors during Engagement Hours, our version of office hours.

Our campus is within walking distance to many amenities and downtown destinations including The Forks, Winnipeg Square and SHED (Sports, Hospitality and Entertainment District). Students can take Health and Community Services hybrid programs with lab classes as well as online programs in Business and Technology.

Students will have access to a number of in-demand programs and services, delivered in learning classrooms and laboratories. The campus is on a major transit route.
