Ching Wu Athletic Association: what do users think?

Roland Mitchell: Ching wu is a great place to learn authentic chinese martial arts. Programs are physically demanding with constantly evolving content and classes. If you are looking for a good workout and to learn fun applications like chin- na sparring or lohan applications then come down and experience our relaxed and inclusive atmosphere. We also train with weapons and have weight lifting equipment.

Phil Lan: Interesting historical building. Wonder what the current function is.

Kris Peterson: Great place to learn traditional martial arts!

George Matos: Excellent instructors with dedication and passion for the arts without compare. Highly recommend this school for anyone wanting to learn about Shaolin Kung Fu or any of the other disciplines offered. Visit their website for information.

Teegan Weiske: Great place to take martial arts, fantastic rustic feel, the Sigung there knows what he's doing. Classes are always very knowledgeable and enjoyable. A large variety of Kung fu styles to choose from.

G K: Best place to learn martial arts! Amazing Grandmaster amazing master's

Chris Watson: I have know sigung for over 30 years and trained under his direction for over 10 years. He is the most qualified instructor I know in Winnipeg and possibly one of the best in Canada. I would suggest training at Ching Wu if you are interested in learning Chinese martial arts. I studied Southern Shaolin as my primary art and managed to win forms and fighting competition. Not only was I a skilled martial artist but I was also taught how to teach and run a club on my own. I was the head instructor who went on and trained a team of students who won grand championships. Ching Wu is a great place to learn martial arts in a self disipline environment with skilled martial artist in may styles.

Andrew Stewart: This place is the real deal, authentic Chinese martial arts. Wide option of classes, for people of all skills and ages. Great instructors and facility.

Matt Long: Great atmosphere and knowledgeable practitioners. If you've ever wanted to get into martial arts this is the place to go.

Plum Blossom Martial Arts Academy: what do users think?

Daniel Tassia: Great Place, my son has grown so much on Kung Fu. The masters are the best!

Leonid Ustinski: Excellent instructors, very patient with beginners and very respectful to every level .

Derek Iwasiuk: Class sizes aren't too big, friendly and experienced instructors. I can train with my son in the same class. Great for meeting new people!

Amy G: I take a women's self defense course here and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to feel better equipped to defend themselves. It's a really supportive atmosphere and the moves they teach you feel like they would be very practical. Definitely check them out!

Quyen Le: It's a amazing place for your kids. The teachers are kind, devoted and supported.

Vlad Vassilchenko: Good place to keep your kids busy with something really useful. Lazy adults will have place to seat.

Katrina Zhou: Enjoy the women defence classes .

Daniel Flores Tapia: and I noticed an almost immediate change for the better in their attention spams, academic performance and overall discipline. During my first year I lost around 6-8 pounds and got into probably the best shape of my life

Laurie P: I have been going to Plum Blossom to learn Tai Chi for a little over one and a half years. Having retired from a 25 year career in law enforcement with numerous physical limitations and chronic medical conditions, including psoriatic arthritis and PTSD, I joined Plum Blossom to take Tai Chi at the recommendation of several of my doctors and therapists. Not knowing what to expect, I can happily say that joining the Plum Blossom family and learning Tai Chi was one of the best decisions I ever made in my life.I had always been an active person, but for medical reasons I had to change my exercise and fitness routines and my overall mindset as to how I could continue being fit and active and improve my overall mental and physical health. Tai Chi has been challenging, enjoyable, more physically demanding than I anticipated and exactly what I was looking for and needed. Learning Tai Chi at Plum Blossom has helped me with relaxation, stress management, fitness and muscle retention, balance, coordination, flexibility, being mindful and my ability to focus / concentrate. The instructors at Plum Blossom are excellent. They are very knowledgeable, supportive, caring, committed, attentive and patient. The facility is clean and comfortable with sufficient room to accommodate tai chi students of different levels. The instructors provide a motivating and respectful environment in which to train and learn. Tai Chi is a lifelong learning pursuit and it's something I can practice at home or when traveling and with no need for specialized equipment.I had always wanted to learn a martial art, but didn't have the time nor had I discovered a discipline that fit my health needs. That is, until I found this gem of a place. Plum Blossom has opened my eyes to the martial art of Tai Chi and given me more than I could have ever hoped for. I feel fortunate to have come across such a wonderful place and such wonderful people.

Evolution Martial Arts: what do users think?

Chris Clarke: This was my first martial arts class and found it welcoming of new people, even without previous training. The experience, skill, and personality of Sifu Joel and how he makes classes engaging keeps students of all levels coming back over and over. I've been going for 3 years and always a new challenge. And the connection to Bruce Lee is fascinating.

TheBicycleman79: Best martial arts in Winnipeg hands down. Where do I even start with this review?TL;DR — If you want to learn a martial art from one of the best teachers in the world that you can effectively use in real life physical altercations, Jeet Kune Do is it. This is a combat art, designed around going home to your family, not to the hospital. After researching Bruce Lee by watching all his films, shows and documentaries I curiously searched if JKD was offered in Winnipeg, finding Evolution Martial Arts. I took the trial class and immediately realized I needed to learn Jeet Kune Do. Having been a student for just over one year, I've learned an incredible amount that has increased my confidence, ability to manage stress like a pro, increase professional productivity, ability to defend myself, and develop a higher level of consciousness around movement. Learning JKD has considerably increased my abilities in other sports I participate in and changed how I view the world and problem solve.Sifu Joel is an amazing teacher that really cares about making his students better and is fun to learn from. He's actually one of a handful of people in this world that is a 2nd generation JKD instructor, taught by Jerry Poteet, Bruce Lee's top original student. To have a teacher with his qualifications in Winnipeg is a very unique and rare opportunity for anyone interested in learning martial arts. The school itself has a great positive culture with wonderful students that have a diverse background, from business pros, scientists, pilots, university students, and more. It's not a knuckle-dragger school with an annoying "bro" culture, which is refreshing. If you're looking to level up or make life more interesting, take the free trial class that is offered to experience it first hand to see if this is something for you.
