cfamisan: The best store in the city for all your Mexican needs.I was able to buy Queso cotija cheese which you can’t find at any other major grocery store.The owners are so kind and helpful which is definitely a plus when shopping here!

Meat purchases are better priced than common stores and what would be considered 'ethnic' items and sold at premium are cost-effective.They have a huge variety of flours and rice as well and hard sought types can be found here in sizes that make the price more than competitive.One last thing, they have a large variety of items from middle-eastern/northern African regions that for those unfamiliar to explore and try. I highly recommend!!

Angelle Holmes: I do like that in the meat section you can get five packs of meat for $5. It makes it a little bit cheaper to buy some smaller packs. There's lots of great selection there too like chicken and legs and wings or pork chops or steaks, ground beef ground pork stuff like that

Karl S: This Foodfare is conveniently located on the corner of Portage and Mount Royal. Parking can be a challenge but with a little patience a spot usually becomes available. The store may be small but well stocked. The meat department has it all and the butchers are helpful and knowledgeable. There is a very good selection of produce, imported goods, bread and pastries. Checkout is quick. A great resource for the area and a local food store to support!
