Pauline Bistro Restaurant: what do users think?

Vivian: Beautiful restaurant - really love the decor and vibes here. The breakfast is simple, nothing super outstanding - if you’re looking something simple, this would be it.

Katie K: I had to call to find out how to get inside, to find out it's through the hotel lobby. Once in the lobby I was confused where to go due to lack of signs, and found it's a situation where they shared the same internal entrance with the Tavern.I found the atmosphere to be too dark considering it was breakfast/brunch. It was more of a dreary, sad atmosphere.Service was fast and attentive. It was spectacular there. All questions were answered. Even my concern that the meat was wrong was addressed, as it wasn't what I was expecting. My water was refilled and I was given my own glass bottle for refills. The omelette of the day I found to be bland and rubbery. This made me question if it was made fresh. Though it was huge portions, which was unexpected for the price, I simply couldn't get through it due to the lack of flavour and the unappealing look of the omelette.I intend to give the restaurant another try some day despite this first impression.

Alexandre Caron: . I think this place could do a "killing" selling their home brand jam in grocery super centers. The food was delicious. The bread is made from a local bakery. The portion VS the price was as per my expectation. Beautiful presentation of my dish. I recommend this place. The jam is homemade

Avril Hutton: Food is great. I've been there several times and they serve great food

Cmd Pjd: We have been to Cork and Flame a couple of times over the last few years. Went this past Friday after work. They had live music on the patio. The service was very good, even though we were only having drinks, the food going by us was incredible. We will definitely be back!

Brendon Beich: Me and my dad have been to Winnipeg many times and have eaten at different places but never at Cork & Flame but today we decided to try it and it was amazing, every aspect of it from the food to the service. Our waitress was a lady named Stacey F. and again I can’t say enough good things about her because she was great, very friendly and charming and had a great attitude with a smile on her face at all times. As far as food goes I had the fettuccine Alfredo with the chicken on a skewer and it was so good very filling and my dad had the prime rib short ribs and he said they where quite good. We will be back for sure.

Julie Vincent: This place was amazing!!!! I’m not the easiest girl to please when it comes to going out to eat. I love to cook myself and I love healthy foods. My partner and I rented and air bnb about a 25 min walk away and there were other restaurants along the way but I had done some research prior to leaving and this place really caught my eye. The service was amazing so was the atmosphere and the food WOW just WOW. We will be back that’s for sure.

Karol Ralcewicz: Went there for lunch after a quick 9 holes of golf. Dined on the patio which is a wonderful place to have lunch. I had the clubhouse sandwich which was brilliant and my friends bought the calamari dish which they thought was one of the best in the city. If you're on the patio you must order the 32 oz of Long Island Iced Tea. Great way to spend the rest of the afternoon.

Kit Pfeiffer: Wonderful cocktails and great food. We came for oyster night they were worth it!While the restaurant does have mains and features, we opted to share and had oysters, calamari, and ended the evening with a nice cheese plate. The custom cocktails were great, lots of variety. They also had fabulous wines.

Hogan Mullally: Great food. Generous portions.

Kuba L: I absolutely loved this place! The moment I walked in I felt very welcome, the waitress was so welcoming and I immediately loved the atmosphere. I had an amazing time here and loved the food! The portions were very generous and the food was delicious! I will make sure to come back here before I leave Winnipeg. Everything about this place was great from the atmosphere to the food to the service. I recommend anyone who finds themselves in Winnipeg should try this place! Loved it!

Sophie Brown: Fantastic hidden gem off of notre dame. Our table had the burrata, arancini, calamari and many of the seafood pastas and every single one of the dishes were to die for. Generous portions for a fair price. The limoncello at the end is a nice touch. Our waitress was amazing, and even memorized our entire table of 8’s order which was outstanding. It did seem quite understaffed, but regardless she did an amazing job. Would highly recommend and return!

Brian Hiebert: This was our second trip to Nana's. Our first was around a year ago, and was great. On this trip the food was also excellent, and the service was impeccable. The only two concerns were around the charcuterie board, which contained a nice selection of meats and pickles, but only one kind of hard, VERY strong cheese. Second was that the interior needs some attention. Many of the seats are now worn out and torn and in desperate need of repair, and the clear glass lampshades above every table are very dirty. When you choose to have clear glass shades, you have to clean them almost daily.

Jepppy: Bit the bullet and ordered takeout from this restaurant, I always believe you jeopardize your food quality when you order takeout from a restaurant.I was so wrong on the food quality after getting home, food was delicious, portions were nice and the spaghetti carbonara, I never tasted anything like that before.Grate taste, everything tasted so fresh. Will be back, probably tomorrow. 👍

Kait Evinger: highly recommend! We had the osso buca, which was our favourite, cooked to perfection served with a savoury mushroom pasta. The insalata was fresh and bright with a really funky gargonzolla bite. Bread, along with everything else, is made in house and served with a quality aged balsamic vinegar and XVOO. The sauce with the appetizer meatballs was to die for, rich and layered flavours but not overpowering. There is a a serious sauce chef there, as the mussels also came with a fabulous one. Service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is surprisingly modern with each table having it's own alcove, providing for an intimate setting. Be warned though, portions are enormous! Little Nana's will not disappoint.

Fred Harris: Such a lovely little place, and our server Natalia could not have been more welcoming, pleasant, & accommodating. Servings were huge. The light breading on the calamari, hot banana pepper, and zucchini appie served with a bright lemon cream sauce was a perfect starter! The fired up wheel of parmesan became affectionately known as the Cheese Wheel of Death... Picture a table side flaming ladle poured into a concaved bowl hollowed out wheel of parmesan... Now, picture the fettuccini with mushroom and bacon being tossed in all that melty goodness! Oh yeah... pictures! Plus, I came home with two or 3 more servings of the stroganoff style, broad noodle porc ribs, and some leftover spaghetti! Definitely, a return visit in my future.Parking: Across the street, Indigo parking

Roger Hopper: Fantastic little Italian joint! Flavorful and authentic food, and great service! Bread with dipping oil is to die for, some of the best we've had. Nana's salad also very nice. Braised beef entree looked and smelled so good we started to split it between our plates before taking the picture! Huge portion sizes, as this place is known for and as our pictures illustrate. Espresso cheesecake for dessert was decadent, and little limoncello digestifs with it were a very nice touch. A must-visit if you are visiting Manitoba!
