Alter Ego Sports: what do users think?

Melissa Goulbourne: Superior service. Friendly and supportive team. A+++

Logan Picton: My family has shopped here as long as I can remember. I bought my first solid MTB here and countless snowboard accessories, bike parts, etc.My wife's bikes were both purchased here, also my most recent gravel bike purchase.Tune ups are always done efficiently and are fairly priced.Warranty is always honoured without friction.Staff is just incredible. You might catch the owner's cute terrier too!I'll continue to support this exceptional local establishment until, well, forever.

Reg Wiebe: Always nice to deal there wonderful personal working there

Mark Simkin: In the last ten years I have purchased two Cervelo bikes and a Wahoo smart trainer from Alter Ego sports. The equipment is superb, the staff are very knowledgeable, the service is great. These people know bikes in a really professional way. My experiences with dealing with Alter Ego have been totally positive, and I recommend them to anyone looking for a bike, or probably any of the other sporting equipment they sell. They are real experts!Just updating, have been dealing with Alter Ego for 15 years. Real experts. Trust them implicitly. Just bought an e-bike for my wife. Excellent service.

JULIAN NEDOHIN-MACEK: and shares his experience with expected durability of components. He is fair and reasonable to deal with and will consider my perspective as a customer when repairing my bike.I'm happy to deal with him.

Emilie Lemay: I bought a bicycle at Alter Ego a few years ago and I’ve enjoyed great service and yearly tune ups.

michael walker: 5 Stars.Outstanding service.

rick wolfe: Awesome store ....lots to drool over bike wise , lolGreat knowledgeable staff !!

Philippe Bardet: I love the annual maintenance that is included with bike purchases. Note that it’s now a 50% discount since 2021. I especially like the fact that recommendations on part changes are not driven by spending and that if a part change is not necessary after initial estimation, technicians won't proceed with the change just for the sake of it.My last service was for 3 bikes and despite asking for level 2 service, they decided it wasn’t necessary in my case due to some parts being replaced, so they just charged level 1 price. It is a nice surprise when you see the final bill. Thanks for being honest.

Scott Sugimoto: Great after sales service ! Always the Best !!!

Devin Cunningham: Nice new big bright store, same great staff! Been going for years, always come through. Thanks

Sharon Simon: Great people, great service. I can always get my questions answered and they know who I am and which bike is mine. I feel like a valued customer!

Phil & Cassandra Amero: They are great! Had my bike tuned up and ready quick, efficiently and staff is amazing! Thank you!

Sebastian Salazar: The staff is amazing to help you with whatever you need. I went there for a basic maintenance of my bikes and they did a wonderful job, gave me some feedback and recommended a couple of things to keep in mind.

Ana Martins: Great and quick service

Rick: These guys helped me out when the bike shop I purchased my bike at left me hanging. My previous bike came from these guys, and my next bike will come from these guys. Was treated fairly and efficiently. My go to bike shop from now on.

Sampson'S Sporting Life Ltd: what do users think?

Robin Roque: Nice and very knowledgeable staff

Jordan Thompson: Just a super honest, straight shooting, friendly old school shop. Have bought a bike from them, rented skis, tune ups. Always reliable, never upselling. Once you buy a bike there, you get an ongoing store discount for accessories. All staff are excellent. Not as big or modern as some of the competition, but that's part of what makes them great.

Clif Donaldson: I stopped in quickly asking about bikes and they were so helpful!!! I would definitely recommend!

Adam Budowski: Staff are amazing and friendly.

Greg Bingham: Friendly staff, good service, good deals. Sampson’s offers a more personal connection than some of the bigger bike shops. The staff took the time to walk me through my bike and help me understand a new platform.

Fares Al-ghalaieni: Excellent service and very friendly staff.Highly recommended.

Asmara Polcyn: These folks were kind enough to help me out with my skis on one of their busiest days of the year. Really appreciate the work they did and the excellent attitude they did it with! We managed a silver medal in our race that weekend. Thanks so much!

Grant Barkman: This is such a cool store. Crammed with stuff and employees are helpful. Gave us a free wax when we bought xc skis. Prices are good.

Jon Dyck: Sampson's is the place to go for your biking and skiing needs! These guys run a great shop with great customer service. Pricing on items is good as well. I have bought two bikes from them and plan on going back again.

Lit boy Clan: best place in Winnipeg

Lorraine James: Friendly staff, decent selection. I especially liked the bike bells and horns. They know their stuff.

Jalal (jdev01): Great shop and friendly staff!

Mike L: I bought my bike at another shop but due to unforseen circumstances they couldn't do my free first tune up. Janet tuned up my bike on the spot and honored the free first tune up from her competitor. Unbelievable. You don't see service like that anymore. Sampson's has just earned a new customer. Thank you

Jon Kilimnik: and done less than a week later. Quick. Laid back and friendly. Reasonable prices on service and accessories.

Jeffrey Igheghe: Best in the business

J V: Broke the derailleur on my bike. When times are busy, most bike shops are so incredibly rude when you ask about their wait times. Everyone at Sampson's was friendly got my bike in right away, and fixed it in a couple days. Had a minor mix up with the fix and brought it back and the owner himself walked me through it and got it all good to go. Will definitely recommend to friends.

Lifesport Shops Ltd: what do users think?

Gurkirat Singh: Really nice little shop and really nice people. Sad its gonna be closing down in a month.

Mike Pavloook: Update: I'm really going to miss this place. Unfortunately, they are closing down at the end of the year so pop in and grab any last items before its all gone.***The service here is great. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and a great selection of quality bikes, parts, and accessories.

greg davidson: Long live lifesport...yo haters,if you don't want to hear what you need from these experts,go to Walmart...see if they care. R.I.P Walter

Edwin Voetman: This is truly "The Small Shop With The Big Heart". I have been dealing at this shop for many years. First with Walter and now with his son Sebastian. Over the years I have purchased a few bicycles and ski equipment and have never been disappointed with the product purchased and the service given. I have always been treated with honesty and knowledge and would advise anybody looking for a good bike, cross country ski and all accessories to visit Lifesport at 411 Pembina Highway where I am sure you will receive the same welcome and service I did.

Lila Asher: Came in for a minor repair and it was fixed next day. Good value for the money and great customer service

Jim Pattison: The men know their stuff

Brianna Kaldor-Mair: Excellent customer service, and I love my new bike!

J: The person there was very friendly and helpful.

CliffordW: Great service. Knowledgable staff.

Jay Bains: Nobody else would even try to help me repair the blown tube on my young sons 16 in bike. I called at least half a dozen bike shops and they all said to leave the bike for a week. Most seemed uninterested. This was during covid, so places were quite busy. I called Lifesport, and even though they were busy too, they were willing to do it. I showed up and within 45mins they completed the repair! My son and i were super happy and appreciative. They showed old school concern and attention to customer service. Most def go here for all your bike needs. You will not be disappointed!

Plain Bicycle Project at the Forks: what do users think?

calvin seigler: The staff were super nice and super helpful on helping me decide which Dutch bike to buy! I brought it back to the USA without any problems! It was also easy to reach the store from their main store by bicycle. I highly recommend checking out both stores!

Paul Radosh: 30 Jun 23 as I realized during my ride that the chain and cassette sorely needed replacement. Scott asssisted me and went above and beyond to fetch the right high quality parts located offsite. The work was completed in approx an hour and the initial quote, which was very reasonable, proved accurate. Thank you Scott for you expertise, exceptional service, kindness, genuine care and consideration!

Angel: Rented a Dutch bike at the forks location because it was very convenient for me. We had some bike issues after renting, but Plain Bicycles was able to to resolve those problems as soon as they could.Overall, I enjoyed my Dutch bike experience! Winnipeg was the perfect place to try the bikes out since the city is mostly flat.

Marcus K: Awesome place! Staff were super friendly and helpful when helping me choose a dutch bike. A minor issue popped up with the bike shortly after purchasing, but they were able to quickly fix it up for me and it works great now! They are missing a huge opportunity by not stocking dutch candies for the nostalgic fans of the candy train though...

Lee Willy: Love my bike from Plain Bike! Dutch bikes are so comfy, get one!

Miggles: You can rent bikes for a fee or test them in the immediate vicinity for free. The higher centre of gravity on Dutch bikes was not as jarring as I had anticipated it would be. The turning radius on the other hand is quite wide compared to mountain bikes. 100% would recommend a dutch bike for commuting/hauling if your route is mostly straight & flat.
