Angel Anderson: When I arrived at Tamarack I was in a state of desperation, as my addictions had taken me to a point where I could no longer see anything positive in my future and had very little sense of identity. As soon I walked through the doors I immediately felt safe, and very comforted by both the staff and the environment. Throughout my 2 months at Tamarack treatment center I have been able to reclaim a sense of purpose and have gained a sense of self awareness and and set of skills that have made me feel much more confident and secure as I move forward on my road to recovery. The marriage of the complex trauma/ Dbt therapy are next to none, and I have never seen this approach used at any other treatment center that I have attended. Tamarack offers everything that I have been seeking for a very long time, but just didn't know how to describe to anyone. I will be forever grateful for all of the staff, educators, and clients that I have had the opportunity to share this part of my life's journey with. Best treatment center ever!

Tamarack has a very diverse program were I absorbed a lot of knowledge about my addiction and various ways to cope and manage. The food is also really good and its a safe environment. Rain Gunderson: As the former addictions counselor of Mainstreet Project Men & Women's Detox, Tamarack Recovery Centre was the top centre I'd recommend to clients ready and willing to work through their past trauma's and root issues. It is one of few centre's in Winnipeg that provide longer-term and trauma-informed care.
Mila L: Rehab was a foreign idea to me as I was afraid to go to treatment and get help, but choosing Tamarack and sobriety has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. The 24/7 support, no matter if you are in the house or complete the program, from staff who understand the struggles and truly want to help and guide you through your journey has been life changing. To anyone who is afraid to get help, you are not alone and I promise you will not regret it.
Stephanie Johnson: as my stay there was my first and only attempt at treatment. I’ve stayed clean since graduation and attribute this to the program and unlimited aftercare they offer. Their program is twice as long as most treatment centres and 1/3 the cost. $150/day is a modest investment for a program that will likely save your life. Thank you for everything Tamarack!
Sophie Cadlan: Tamarack is an amazing recovery centre. It has the option of a longer inpatient program with great group sessions Monday to Friday run by qualified cousellors. After I graduated I had the opportunity to drop in 24/7 and could attend their aftercare program which is a group session where past clients share how things are going in their life. This is by far the most amazing program I’ve ever attended and Tamarack staff has become like a second family to me. I would recommend it to anyone.

Terry Rowland: My mum Has taken residency. We were pleasantly surprised to have met and conversed with the Care Coordinator and nurses for my mum. The staff are caring and don't seem to overwhelmed. I can't understand why. The meals purely represent the best definition of hospital food. But you try to feed hundreds with every food issue or health issue you could imagine. Hat's off to the Food Service Director. The parking is a joke. You can get a ticket visiting veterans that represent this country. Shame on the "City of Winnipeg"

Doctor Haus: People need to call every day to get in because there is a wait list of hundreds of people. No, they do not deny people for not having enough income because they took me even though I am on disability. Those writing comments about their assumptions as to why they didn't get in are just assumptions. That is not how they work and I know first hand. I have been here only a few weeks but the staff and environment is amazing. It took me over a month of calling every day but I made it in because I was consistent. It's not right to blame Bruce Oake for your own failure to call every day and if you give up, that's not their fault. There are plenty of places with long waiting lists so it's pretty sad when people blame them and make up reasons as to why they could in. It's not their fault there is an epidemic of addiction, nor is it their fault hundreds of people have been applying. *ONLY* the ones dedicated enough to call every day are considered. If you don't call every day you are put at the bottom of the wait list or taken off completely. Don't make assumptions and then give this wonderful place poor reviews just because you were nowhere near as dedicated as the ones that made it.

Sheri Cams: RIVERVIEW staff knew my dad right away they recognized me without having to even say to staff i didint recall . My dad dying at home is his wish they got him on his feet abd positive about life about what life he had left . We were able to celebrate one more birthday and we had him for Christmas and we are going into new year . It’s been hard with my family . The time at RIVERVIEW was some of my most cherished moments woth my dad . Iam going to miss him. I want to thank the staff abd especially Jenifer that she always made my dad and me feel really safe and very well looked after . My dad didint have to ask twice for her to assist anthing and she explained things to him like he was an adult . Cause he is an adult and he deserved dignity . Jenifer and other staff were good to my dad , he really recieved attention and they seemed to care a great deal . He had trouble with the tv for sone reason I never figured out exactly what the problem was but …. That’s just minor . The rooms there are very warm abd they look inviting not as sterile in appearance as a hospital setting . It was a positive experience in a negative circumstance . Thank you RIVERVIEW you were really there when we needed you. 😃

Amy McLelland: 8 spent 8 weeks in the brain injury ward here after 13 weeks at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. A considerable improvement with excellent staff, especially one Nurses aid who worked the brain injury division a a regular basis. Her name is Angele. I miss you Angele, you made much of time there more enjoyable, the parts of it that I remember. They also let me lead stretch class in physiotherapy, as, at that point, I had been figure skating for 12 years

He even modifies them if needed and he gets you to confirm that the moves help you feel better before putting together an action plan.

He understands injury, muscle physiology, and treatment methods like none I've ever seen. To boot, he's quite passionate about what he does and is very curious and attentive to his client's cases. He has quite a lot of additional education and is frequently taking trips around the world to attend workshops to enhance his skill set which is already very impressive. As a result, he offers quite a lot of different treatments that go way beyond what your typical athletic therapist offers. Couldn't recommend him enough!!
