Seduta Art: what do users think?

Zelda Mag: Absolutely love the selection and atmosphere.

Mommy J: What a great stationery store! I really appreciated the selection of fountain pen ink varieties, especially the imported harder to find brands, and you can't beat the wonderful personal service. It's a really neat little gem of a store and I highly recommend visiting. It's definitely on my list of must go to stores when I visit Winnipeg.

Ariel Desrochers: This place is so great! My new favorite space to browse. Lots of stationary, art supplies and other goodies. The owner is so kind.

Patricia Ramirez: I live about 5 hrs north, so to finally make into this store after 2 failed attempts is creme de la creme!!Absolutely an adorable little store with hidden gems!!

Wendell Llado: An essential business to my life and the city.I initially came to Seduta to replenish my supply of liner pens and they exceeded all of my expectations in terms of the service and selection. I have visited countless times and it's now become a regular stop for me. I always find and learn something new as the owners Paul and Sholeth provide the most inviting and supportive atmosphere. They're valuable experience and knowledge on their supply will prove to be the most helpful for any artists, professional or just starting out.Being in the store is creatively invigorating as your greeted with a diverse selection of tools for any type of project. They carry products for textile crafts, daily stationery, printmaking, and a wide variety of artistic mediums—they've got it all! Since my first visit I've gotten to try my hand at gouache and oil pastels, and I hope to explore even more of their catalogue. The space is truly inspiring, I've never had a visit without welcoming some useful advice for my projects. It's businesses such as Seduta that are essential in maintaining a vibrant creative core in this city.Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

Beau Natoc: Best art store in winnipeg! love all the amazing art work and the vibes in the store.

Jae C: Seduta art is THE MOMENT 🏻 so many quality art supplies to choose from that other stores don’t carry. They’re very knowledgeable and accommodating here too, I always have to stop by when I’m at the exchange + they have amazing art works that you can buy too

Pete Empiales: My friends had recommended me to take my partner here on one of our dates and it was absolutely the highlight of our day, she loved everything in it!

Hollie Rivera: My favourite art store! The owner is super nice and super helpful at all times!! i was shocked with the amount of good quality products that ive been looking for in forever definitely coming back again

M. S.: This is a super cute place to go to, but really lacked watercolor supplies. For real “art supply” needs, I would recommend artist Emporium.

Charizze Ilano: A hidden gem in the Exchange District! The store is so pretty and has a great selection of art/stationery supplies. Great paintings are displayed around the store which was created by one of the store's co-owners; it felt like I was in a mini art gallery. Also, co-owner, Paul, was very nice! Will definitely be back!

Jp Austria: I came into Seduta as someone who was looking to get into linocut prints for the first time. Not only is the store beautifully decorated and organized so that what I was looking for was easy to find, both Paul and Sholeth were incredibly kind and knowledgeable, letting me know exactly what I needed to get started and making me feel very comfortable to ask questions about a lane of art I was unfamiliar with.I always look forward to my next visit to replenish my supplies because it's always stocked with unique and interesting tools, prints, and other stationary I don't know I would find anywhere else.Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for art supplies or unique gifts for someone who loves stationary.

Yuliia “Lavy” Tatarynova: Very nice art store with a lot useful art stuff

Ulyana Kotska: Love love love! I go here specifically for Sakura smudge proof pens but always tend to wander around to check out all the other cool items. During the last visit I snagged some gibli studio stickers to spice up my clear phone case. The atmosphere in the shop is relaxing with calm music and items nicely presented. A lovely visit each time.

Lotti Studios: We ran out of ink in our staple pen we use for labels and needed a replacement pronto to complete an order. We visited Seduta to see if they would have it available, they didn’t have the exact same one, however, Sholeth recommended a pigma micro pn from Sakura. We gave it a try on the notepad at the shop and purchased one, today we returned to grab 2 more and try out a thicker one. Needless to say, the recommendation was excellent and we’ve now found our new holy grail pen for labels. The shop is also lovely to be in, great selection of art supplies and many other items. Super tidy and well organized. Each visit is visually engaging and there’s always something new that catches my eye.Highly highly recommend!

Nathalie S.M.: I love, love, love Seduta Art! They have a great selection of stationery and art products. Plus, the owners are two very kind souls who are truly passionate about what they're doing!

Ash McCorrie: Absolutely great selection, pretty good prices and incredible staff, I absolutely love it here

Framing & Art Centre: what do users think?

Tracey Jason: Gary is such a perfectionist to make everything look exactly right! I love my new frame and it was a tough project but it was done with care and timeliness!

James Blatz: Have had many important items and documents custom framed. Gary and his staff are amazing and picking combinations of frame and backing that really highlight the piece and provide outstanding advice on glass to protect important pieces as well. My absolute go to for all framing needs!

Nate & Audrey Sawatzky: I shopped around and chose Gary at the Framing and Art Centre for their knowledge and pricing. My large homemade art piece was restretched and ready to hang in 2 weeks and it looks so incredible!

Daniel Roscoe: Full disclosure, I visited this gallery because Elizabeth Sellors is a friend of mine and I admire her work. This gallery is a long ways out of my way but it is a really nice place and I'm glad I had a reason to visit. There was a wide range of work on display and available, from paintings through digital to ceramics and everything was reasonably priced for original art pieces. I had a nice chat with the owner about a very old family heirloom I was looking at having conserved and re framed and I liked his professionalism and attitude. Now, the real reason I went in the first place was the exhibition of a local artist's works. I've included a sampling of her paintings here and you can see that they are an interesting mix of realism and abstractionism that all speak to a love of painting and a love of the countryside. I've heard of almost all the sites she has painted, and have visited a good number of them myself in my wanderings. Her images make me want to visit the ones I haven't been to yet which is a pretty good indication that her work is of the highest quality. I am particularly impressed with her rending of the cloudscapes as they are not only realistic, but I think very accurate from a meteorological aspect. I am still working on fluffy white happy clouds myself so to see an image and recognize stratus, cumulus or stratocumulus in the painting is impressive. If you live near St Vital Centre I recommend you pop in and take in her exhibition and check out the gallery.

Ana Frenkel: Amazing quality, great customer service, and the owner is a very pleasant person. I really recommend this place

Lauren Himbeault: Gary is fantastic, the work he did was impeccable and honestly, I don't know if I've had a better customer experience ever with anything!! He literally made me want to frame more things because he was so professional and did such a great job. I can't imagine going anywhere else

Tom Dembinski: I had broken the glass on a picture, which was quickly cut to size. Excellent service and owner has very pleasant demeanour. Highly recommended business.

Kayla Couette: Excellent customer service! I've been to this business twice before; the first time I was restoring an old frame and needed help to remove the attached canvas. The staff quickly helped me remove the staples at no charge, and helped me bring it back to my car. On my most recent trip, I needed new glass for a frame. The staff helped me right away, it was super affordable, and I was done in 10 minutes! Highly recommend this business.

Mary Reimer: You'll find all the craft materials you will need. We went there to get yarns, lots of selections. They didn't have safety eyes in stock, they said it's a popular item. The store is neatly organized, The one regular item coupon for 40% off is available only online. This used to be an in-store coupon, Some items are more pricey than others. It's a good store to get some crafty ideas.

Rodney: Lovely building architecture. The art exhibits, nicely displayed, covered a few genres but for me the most enjoyable were the stone carved figures column in the entry but most importantly was the Inuit section. The artistry and craftsmanship represented in the creations was just simply beautiful. A real gem. The staff were friendly and helpful especially the young lady in the cafe.

Natalie Marion: Always a great visit. Loved the delicious food being served out of their coffeeshop.

Mia Balansag: I recently visited the museum gallery with my kids on a free Sunday, and it was truly an amazing experience. The grand entrance of the "Color Therapy" exhibit was both inviting and vibrant, with its seamless blending of white space and a mishmash of captivating colors. It was heartening to see a dedicated area for kids to create their own art, adding a wonderful touch of interactivity. However, my personal highlight was undoubtedly the section featuring Victorian, realism, and classic portraits. These portraits eloquently painted a rich tapestry of history, and I found myself engrossed in reading the backstories that accompanied each piece. The depth and attention to detail in these artworks were truly impressive.Another captivating exhibit was the indigenous art display, which provided a poignant lens into the truth and reconciliation of past hurts. It was an eye-opening experience, and I felt a deep sense of connection to the stories told through the art. Spending time in this section left me feeling enlightened and more aware of the struggles and resilience of indigenous communities. The museum also offered a haven for relaxation and unwinding. I could easily spend an entire afternoon there, away from the constant buzz of technology, feeling refreshed and calm. One of the highlights for my kids was the scavenger hunt for indigenous art pieces, which added an element of excitement and engagement for them.My only wish is that there were more interactive activities like the scavenger hunt. These activities would undoubtedly enhance the overall experience for both children and adults, making the museum visit even more immersive and memorable. All in all, our visit to the museum gallery was an enriching and enjoyable experience. From the captivating color therapy exhibit to the thought-provoking Victorian portraits and the eye-opening indigenous art display, the museum provided a well-rounded and engaging journey through art and history. It's a place that both educates and inspires, making it a must-visit for families seeking a blend of culture, history, and creativity.
