FortWhyte Alive: what do users think?

Darren Lee: Great place to take your kids/grandkids!!

Avinesh Dasari: Excellent place to experience trail walking and biking. Bison viewing so close to the city is awesome. The animals and arts in the museum are so lively. The flooding boardwalk trail is so nice.

Dodd Letourneau: Fantastic place inside the city. Enjoyed myself everytime we go there.

Obed Carrillo G: I loved seeing the Bison! The trail was nice, easy and accesible. The trail provided nice information about bison and the indigenous people.

Annelies Sikkenga: Beautiful place to explore and lots to see! I do wish the entry was free or lower to make it more accessible for everyone.

Tylen Lee: and it’s a pretty solid trail. Seems like it’s mainly used for bikes since that’s all I saw but it’s a good walking trail too. Didn’t visit the rest of FortWhyte Alive but definitely will in the future.

カイル F Kyle: Saw deer, frogs turtles squirrels, bison and many birds all in one walk.

DARIN EASTOE: Great place to learn about wildlife it does come equipped with a restaurant and an outside deck .

Artem Kurginian: Pros:- nice trailsCons:- 30 CAD is a bit much- bad opening hours, could be open at least till 9- washroom was closed like 30 minutes before closing- can’t use your own kayak

Steven Chang: Best place to take a walk or ride in South West Winnipeg.

2316DILBAGH SINGH: Awsm place to go ... The girl who works there is very cooperative and polite ..

Craig Woodward: FortWhyte Alive is a great place to visit if you want to commune with all forms of nature, especially of the tick variety. After a walk around the paths we did a quick tick check and found 5 on our pants and shirts, and then another 10 when we got home.Fishing was ok, lots of small perch and hammer handle sized pike.

Mazenod Park/Retention Pond Off-Leash Dog Park: what do users think?

Lindsay Baum: Dog-friendliness: Off leash dog park but be careful as there is no fences and it is surrounded by back roads. Rarely has anyone else there.

Katie Rimmer: I really like this park. First time scoping it out tonight, kept my doggo on leash, because the geese and streets being so close. I found the dog owners that were there very respectful of that and even leashed their dogs when passing by! We’ll be back for sure!

Bernhard Schmidt: Really beautiful

Nadia Tuhari-Turner: Great park, a solid 4. My personal favourite but I can't take every family dog there because there's geese sometimes and theres no fence surrounding the area. My dalmatian listens well, sometimes is tempted to chase the wildlife but doesn't, so overall we love the place. And the sunsets are gorgeous!

Darrell English: A nice spot with easy water access for pups who would rather splash and wade than actually SWIM.

June H. Gibson: Nice and quiet in the summer evenings and weekends. Plenty of parking and room to run. No fence but you live with it. Its better than leased on concrete sidewalks.

Dieudonne Nche Nchinda: Great

Bob Madams: Nice place to walk the dog. Not too busy.

Erin Lynn Borg: Great spot and never overcrowded, traffic's minimal on main road adjacent to park. Ducks and geese in the summer and the pond freezes over all winter doubling the play space. Tim Hortons is walking distance. Bench in the shade and garbage available
