Nikki Alvarez: there was some funny stuff going on in one of my eyes, so rather than sending me on my way I was checked in with the doctor just to be sure I could go home. I got home with my bottles of prescription eye drops that I grabbed at the drug store, and spent the rest of the day in bed. I slept for an hour, but it was hard to really sleep with how often certain drops had to be put in and the excitement of being able to see was keeping me up. Overall, I spent 5 hours at the clinic but it didn’t feel that long as the patient since I was moving to different rooms frequently. If you bring someone with you, make sure snacks are brought because they will get hungry and if possible have them run out to get the prescription drops beforehand. This works more so if you’re further along in the day, but since I was second in line and fully suited with a hairnet and booties, I didn’t feel like asking my mom to grab the drops. I also live a block over from a drug store, so I had that going for me. It was a great experience! Definitely would recommend!

Because of this potential conflict of interest, I hesitated to write this review but I am truly impressed and happy with his services that I decided it only fair to write this. I am a physician and during my job I rely on my vision to interpret diagnostic imaging and treat patients accordingly. I had managed for years with glasses but have contemplated corrective eye surgery for a while. I was concerned about Lasik and the increased eye dryness common after such procedure as I already had issues with this. Lasik requires a partial cut in the cornea to create a flap, this causes corneal denervation decreasing tear production. Theoretically this is less of an issue with the technology used by Aqua Laser as there is no cutting occurring.Dr. Gdih and his clinical staff are extremely professional and proficient. On my first meeting with Dr. Gdih he reassured me about the risks and explained the procedure and follow up in full detail. Throughout the process I was always aware of what would happen next and my expectations were met. The day of the procedure went smoothly, the procedure itself lasted seconds! I was forewarned about significant burning the night of the procedure and boy they were not kidding. The next morning things were better and my vision had improved significantly. By day five I was able to drive and by day 9 I was back to work treating patients.My vision now is perfect and my eye dryness is no worse than before. Glasses are now a distant memory. I truly have no regrets doing this surgery and would recommend it to anyone.

Thalia Mohamed: surgery over a year ago. My vision was really bad, like really bad and getting worse by the day.I was scared, skeptical and everything in between at first till I met Dr. Gdih. He took his time and explained everything to me and even put me at ease letting me know that it is very normal to be afraid, it is my eyes after all.He informed me of what I would expect during the surgery and post surgery recovery and how to prepare for it. He was very thorough with answering my questions and addressing all of my concerns.I got it done and there was no pain, no blood, no cuts, no mess, nothing. The procedure took less than half an hour and I was on my home. I was able to see instantly, like instantly without needing any glasses. My vision was blurry for a few days as my eyes were healing but overall the recovery went very smooth. All I needed were some eyedrops a few times a day and to cover my eyes, and that's it.I can't believe I didn't do this sooner. My entire world has changed. I can see even the smallest of the smallest writing on labels. After a thorough examination, he presented my options and gave his recommendations with a full explanation of everything. I opted for Refractive Lens Exchange. The procedure was quick and painless. Aside from some initial light sensitivity, my vision was better than 20/20 in a few hours. The after surgery care was fantastic. PrairieLife: I had a small piece of metal stuck in my eye. My doctor couldn't get it out. They called Gem Clinic late in the day. Dr Aguayo stayed past closing and I was able to get seen right away.Dr. Aguayo got the piece out in under a minute and overall was a great experience. Highly recommend this clinic.
