Resto Gare And Train Bar Bistro: what do users think?

Januzia Sena: The food is amazing, very good service

Jacky Will: I had a great time at Resto Gare. The patio is very nice, with good seating and shade. I went with the escargot and mac n cheese with white truffle. The escargot was cooked perfectly, with melt in your mouth texture and great flavor. The mac n cheese was my favorite, cooked al dente and not overpowering truffle flavor. The sangria was a little too sweet to my taste. Our waiter was very nice and gave us great service. I will definitely come back again and would like to try the seating in the train car.

MJ Chivers: Historical setting with incredible French cuisine. I almost thought I was in France. Definitely worth the visit.Vegetarian options: On the menuDietary restrictions: They have gf and vegetarian options.

InFerno's Bistro: what do users think?

Lorraine Audrey: Very delicious baby back ribs, fall off the bone tender. Wonderful desserts. And service.

Christina Chan: Inferno's is a delight, both at lunch and dinner. Have been for dinner a few times, so it was nice to try out their lunch menu. They have a fresh sheet with specials, a great selection of appetizers and mains, and out of this world desserts! The corn bread and foccacia offered at the beginning of the meal was served either a whipped butter with garlic/spices that was out of this world. We shared amongst 5 people - frog's legs, escargot, Asian duck confit potstickers, rack of lamb, salmon Royale, Madagascar moules frites, and the bison steak with beet gnocchi. All were fresh and delicious, and nicely plated. It was a busy lunch crowd so reservations are recommended.Other diners in the restaurant looked happy and sated.

Dieter Bueddefeld: Great variety on the menu. Excellent service. Patio is wonderful but indoor tables are cozy as well.Parking: Street parking is available, but at times only within a block or two.

Jen E: Infernos is a French restaurant in St. Boniface. It has a great patio to enjoy on summer afternoon or evening. Live music was playing when we went. Restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night; rezo’s recommended if you don’t want to wait or be disappointed. A bread basket is served and it is fantastic. I had the pickerel which came in a sauce that was delicious and seasoned well. My husband had the Buttermilk chicken sandwich and fries and had nothing negative to say!! He really enjoyed Infernos. Awe. Miracles do happen!! Beer and cocktails are limited but the wine menu is really the star. I most definitely will be back to try the many other menu offerings. Oh and dessert is a MUST. I had the crème brûlée and it was on point. Varied selection of desserts that looked scrumptious.Vegetarian options: Limited but there is a veg option under each menu heading except mussels and fries.Parking: Aug 2023 There is parking in the back lot of Infernos however the restaurant was busy so lot was full. Found parking on the street across Marion. Currently there is construction which obstructs parking. That’s Winnipeg in summer for you.Wheelchair accessibility: There is no ramp but I am making an educated guess a 18x18 manual or power w/c could fit through the door and have access to dinning table or patio.

Leena Regi Saleth: Well curated menu with amazing new combinations! The waitress explained everything about the specials for the day, the menu and was very hospitable!Must try dessert: Pistachio white chocolate cheesecake

Danny Smith: The food is always top notch.Delicious. Good size portions.. Always a good selection of specials. The menu has something for everybody. No disappointments here.Recommend to everybody who expects great food at reasonable prices. No room for dessert. Dessert selection is incredible. The creme brulee is apparently to die for.

Beaujena's French Table: what do users think?

Ray Bartlett: Went to this restaurant a little while ago. It is expensive, very expensive but wow, the food is incredible. All the dishes are a mystery, so you have no clue what you are getting and that is a good thing. This way, you will try new things you would not have tried before. I tried duck hearts and sweetbreads for the first time, and I liked them! The waitress, I believe she is married to the cook, was excellent and very excited about the food which she passed on to us. The wine pairing, you have to pay extra, was excellent and again, we tried vermouth for the first time.It is pricey, but for an anniversary or that one time of the year to go out and splurge, this is the place.

marc imhoff: Very enjoyable evening. It's nice to not come with biases or pre conceived ideas of flavours and taste. The bind tasting menu allows you to experience flavours and tastes you may otherwise avoid knowing what the food is. Service and food quality is amazing.

kate M.: It was an awesome experience for me and my friends. Food and wine was great, a definite adventure for our palates. Hostess and chef are very friendly and very hospitable, gives you the feeling of being a valued guest in their home. Thank you for the experience and for what you do!

Claude Manaigre: Amazing food, and experience is unlike anything you will find anywhere else.

Darryl Vanghel: Both the experience and the food were unique and fantastic. Each course was enjoyable and paired with a wine to highlight and enhance the flavours.I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. It’s intimate and unlike anything else I’ve experienced while eating out.5 stars for the food, for the experience, for the chef, and for the host. I have nothing but great things to say about every aspect of our evening.

Francois Lachance: Amazing experience! This is not something that you can rush through and yet time flies by while you enjoy a dive course meal.

Nina “Nina”: It was a very nice experience. The food was goodThe wine was great. The people who own and operate are so very nice. Was a very r

Dwayne Adams: Amazing experience!! All the food was great, even the things I would normally not have ordered or tried.Excellent service, very personal . Would recommend to anyone wanting a new experience or romantic dinner.

Tiffany Galvin: Simply magnificent

Alvin Lee: Second time to Beeaujena’s French Table. Delicious food and wine.

Lisa Muirhead: Beaujena and Chef Randy create such a special experience. Seven amazing courses, each paired with a wine taster. You get to guess what each unique small entree is. Service and food are A+ and the room is intimate.

Vizlumin Cabrera: Amazing experience. I haven't experienced anything like it in Winnipeg before. It felt like I was in a big city. The food by Chef Randy and the sevice by Beaujena was incredible. I can't wait to dine here again.

Trista Lundquist: One of our favourite date night spots, Beaujena's is an experience like nothing else. They offer 7-course "blind" tasting menus, and guessing what you are eating is part of the fun. My husband and I have been multiple times and always leave tasting something we've never tried before.I 100% recommend this charming little restaurant run by lovely couple.

Justin Hadiwijaya Horman: Highly recommended gastronomy! From perennial classics of spaghetti with lobster or perfectly grilled steaks to new creations, such as their Double DownThe ambience could be improved, actually! You will be delighted!

Tara: A wonderfully unique experience. The food and the service were excellent!

Kelly: Unique dining experience!

Barry Miller: Fabulous experience. It's so nice to go for a night out that was so totally relaxing and yet the 3 hours went by so quickly. The 7 courses served were all different and delicious. Not too little and not too much. The wine pairings went very well with each course. And the conversation afterwards learning the ingredients of each course were so informative and gave you ideas for your own future meals. And...the dessert was the piece- de- resistance along with the port. Highly recommend and will return.

FrenchWay Café & Bakery: what do users think?

Oliver: Frenchway cafe is our go to spot for breakfast. Everything is delicious, and given the quality of the food I’d say you get pretty good value for what you’re paying.Their bakery is unbelievable. Everything is amazing. Their lemon tart is one of my favourites!

sylvie landry: Came with a friend for breakfast since she had an apt near this place. Nice little place, the food was good, I had the turkey brie crepes, I could only ate one of them it is so filling. When you arrived it says to wait to be seated but you actually seat yourself, the wait staff is so so, not that friendly. We came in the middle of the week by 830ish and by the time we left by 10am there was a line up at the door so very popular place, however, not once we felt rushed to leave. The dessert display looked great and brought a massive bread pudding and chocolate croissant. The bread pudding was moist and lots of fruits in it. The coffee was okay. Overall good experience, the crepes price was onpar with other restaurants prices.

Joanne Dueck: We went out for breakfast. Two people had eggs Benedict, one had crepes, one had Pharoah, and one omelet. Everything was perfect and we all enjoyed our meals. We have several food allergies in our family and they were accommodated without issues. The dessert display case looked beautiful so we bought a few to take home and they were great too. We will definitely be back!

Krystal Morgan: Turkey club was delicious and very flavourful got the mushroom garlic soup of the day as the side, didn’t have much flavour, wouldn’t get again. Eggs Benedict special was good, not a huge fan of the mint they put on top, the hash browns that come with it are bomb! Service was a little slow, had to ask a few times for coffee refills and took almost 45 minutes for the food, seemed they were short staffed. The patio was a cute little spot to enjoy our breakfast. We’ll be back.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available

La Crêperie Ker Breizh: what do users think?

Ash Ryan: Some of the best crepes in Winnipeg and love their location by the river.

Pink Bubble: Absolutely amazing savoury crêpes! Be sure to check out their main location at 267 Sherbrooke as this Provencher Bridge location is only open seasonally during warmer months. Their FaceBook page is also helpful in showing their pop up locations like RBC Convention Centre RV & Boat show this past weekend where they rescued me from bland convention food with their most delicious smoked beef savoury crêpe with onions, cheese, and healthy crêpe batter instead! Most delightful owners from France, you will definitely enjoy this culinary experience!

Isabelle Sorin: Amazing food! The workers there are the best! Genève makes such delicious crepes and galettes!😊The cold brew is exquisite

Anson Moorey: Excellent service and food!

Marco Castillo: The Crepe is so good, nice location and is so cool how they support the local artists having live music events during the Summer, actually I'm playing there tonight Aug25th 2022!

Sandra Lafontaine: Went for breakfast early. The atmosphere is modern tasteful. Seating both inside or bistro tables out on the sidewalk. The Staff immediately welcomed us in a friendly manner. The menu’s are in French with English as the second language. Confusing given there were stated times on the menu to have various items. Therefore it appeared there were only two breakfast choices. Neither would have been my first choice nor were they my reason for trying Ker Breizh. I chose the poached egg creamed spinach breakfast. It came on a brown crepe one poached egg in Center and a drizzle of the creamed spinach. My first thought was I’m going to be hungry after I eat my breakfast but surprisingly it was delicious and did not leave me starving. Wetried a Madelaine cookie to try it but it was not great bland like eating a sponge cake cookie although pretty in form.Tea, breakfast and cookie $19.50We later found out we could have ordered anything on the menu despite the menu stating otherwise.I likely wouldn’t return anytime soon but it was good to check it out!

Caroline Asselin: The staff is very pleasant the owners are as sweet as their name and the crèpes are to die for

Tristan Marrec: Their crepes are very tasty and not expensive. The staff is also very friendly!

Brïan Graham: We wanted a savory lunch and this was just what we needed! Fast, delicious and $10!

Wendy Peters: Wonderful!

Min Ser: If you work in Downtown I highly recommend to go try this place. Their crepe is outstanding. It is made from buckwheat flour which is locally sourced. We tried the special at that time. It had red peppers, zucchini and goat cheese. Délicieux! We enjoyed chatting with the owner. The warm welcome, good sense of humour and great food can’t ask for anything more.

Street Guy: Stopped in for lunch on the weekend. Staff were very professional and the food was very tasty! Can sit a the bridge and enjoy the scenery while eating as well!

Yolande C: I love stopping by for a breakfast or dinner savoury crêpe and highly recommend anything with apple and/or caramel for dessert. Great taste and great people.

Raymond et Caroline Arsenault, Harvey: The salted caramel is a real delight.

Sous Sol: what do users think?

L. Lau: Reliable dining choice. Food is always consistent with options to satisfy carnivores and vegetarians alike. The tenderloin is consistently well done, regardless of the variation for the evening. Sides and salads are good as well. Love the potato dauphinoise.Definitely recommend a reservation as the space is small and intimate.Vegetarian options: No specific mains, but two varieties of salad. Most of the sides and some appetizers are suitable for vegetarians.

Alex F: Sous Soul is Ultra Nostalgia. If you grew up in the 80s this place is like your mom's house in the best way.Jurassic park and Disney on VHS, 80s music on the playlist. Doilies, candles, taxidermy, crosstitch. If this is your childhood then this is Your Soul. The waitresses treat you like family and I believe that's by design. This casualness from the staff helps you feel like you're at a family dinner. The menu was delicious, like an elevated take on a first generation European immigrant's favorite staples.Boar chops, duck and beans, zucchini, cabbage, and gnocchi. The theme is apparent, clear, and well executed.I felt transported back into a childhood I never personally experienced. The only exception to the theme is the cocktail menu which definately has a more modern twist.Overall very impressed with this dark little speak easy.

Melissa Chung-Mowat: First time at Sous Sol. Atmosphere was awesome...loved the speak easy vibes and the food was great. Really loved the oysters to start and creme brulee to finish but all of it was delicious.I didn't give 5 stars across the board because the mocktails were very underwhelming. I was anticipating a fancy drink in a small, dainty glass to go along with the vibes. But both mocktails came in large tumbler kind of glasses with paper straws and there wasn't anything special about them. Would be nice if they upped their mocktail game!

Natasha Patel: Interior is dark, candle lit and has such a romantic vibe. Phenomenal french cuisine blew our minds. Duck confit, beef tenderloin and potato dauphinoise were cooked to perfection. Service is also fantastic. This is a Winnipeg - Must visit!Recommended dishes Duck Leg Confit in an Orange Sauce, Potato Side …

Reid: Favorite restaurant in the city, also my favorite cocktail bar, in the same place!

Aaron Petrie: A unique dining experience. Dimly-lit cellar with tasty vegetarian options. A little hard to find but worth the trip.

Vivian: Beautiful restaurant - really love the decor and vibes here. The breakfast is simple, nothing super outstanding - if you’re looking something simple, this would be it.

Katie K: I had to call to find out how to get inside, to find out it's through the hotel lobby. Once in the lobby I was confused where to go due to lack of signs, and found it's a situation where they shared the same internal entrance with the Tavern.I found the atmosphere to be too dark considering it was breakfast/brunch. It was more of a dreary, sad atmosphere.Service was fast and attentive. It was spectacular there. All questions were answered. Even my concern that the meat was wrong was addressed, as it wasn't what I was expecting. My water was refilled and I was given my own glass bottle for refills. The omelette of the day I found to be bland and rubbery. This made me question if it was made fresh. Though it was huge portions, which was unexpected for the price, I simply couldn't get through it due to the lack of flavour and the unappealing look of the omelette.I intend to give the restaurant another try some day despite this first impression.

Alexandre Caron: . I think this place could do a "killing" selling their home brand jam in grocery super centers. The food was delicious. The bread is made from a local bakery. The portion VS the price was as per my expectation. Beautiful presentation of my dish. I recommend this place. The jam is homemade

Brooke MacMillen: Great quality dishes, very unique menu which drew us in, we were informed all ingredients are localJumbalaya was phenomenal, so was the Mac n cheese, and in my opinion waffle and duck feature dish could use a few adjustments. the service we received was very good, one of the best service i’ve had at a restaurant.overall nice setting and nice local restaurant

Leanne Batenchuk: that it was a bit thick and dense so she took the top off and ate it with a fork and knife. I will go back for dinner some day soon.

Angel PG: If you are looking to support a local restaurant, this is the place to go! My friend and I like to try new places to eat and she mentioned this one, the bonus was that it was local. I'm going to start with my only downfall, it is not accessible. It's an older building so there are stairs to get up to the dining area, stairs to get to the washroom downstairs and stairs to get the patio outside. However, it is unique and beautiful inside! The tables are made from barn wood and were done in locally. They had a nice touch to the décor. I loved the jar of pickles on the top shelf that wrapped around part of the restaurant. The wonderful surprise was seeing the patio out back! So warm and inviting, as well as private. The service was wonderful! So friendly and knew the menu very well! You could tell they enjoyed working there and really supported the owner/chef. The menu had wonderful choices but was not overwhelming. The food was delicious and very enjoyable. I highly recommend this gem in our city of Winnipeg!

Kevin Turner: I recently visited BoND and have not stopped talking about it to friends and family since. The gentlemen who served us was warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. While there is no wrong choice on the menu, he helped my date and I pick a perfect meal and drink pairing. The food was outstanding! We both had to sample each others meals because they looked, smelled and tasted amazing. We finished off our dinner with two desserts that were a great mix of savory and sweet. The cherry on top on this incredible culinarily experience was knowing that everything is sourced locally, making it the perfect spot to support! I’ve already made plans to return with a close friend.

Shay: Honestly loved this place! First time going last night and I will be back. The food is delicious and the desserts fantastic! Their special of the evening was the wild flower risotto, either with wild mushrooms or duck, tho i got both. My only disappointment, there wasn't more of it. I also tried the cotton cake with homemade whipped cream, it was the best piece of cake I've had in a long time. The staff were great and Rich was super awesome. We had some great conversation with him and kept the laughs going all evening long. This place is indigenous owned which made my appeal to it that much higher. Can't wait to go back and try their brunch menu! Beautiful Beautiful place!

Rachel Rempel: I have come multiple times since discovering this fabulous place. The Lake and Steak on the dinner menu is perhaps one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever had! Service is always fantastic, and the blend of Manitoba into classic comfort foods is done so uniquely and so well! Love coming back every chance I get.

sylvie landry: Went there a few weeks ago. Discovered this place by chance, we came for dessert a late Saturday. We had an event close by and wanted dessert. The waiter was so nice and explained to us the restaurant concept and how everything is local and indigenous own. The desserts were very good, their menu looked amazing, they have a nice small patio also. I had their Japanese cheesecake and I ordered to go home their bread pudding which was also delicious. My friends orders their licorice cake which at first I was like unsure because I dislike licorice but they gave me a bite and I was amaze at the taste. The iced coffee were also very good. The four of us had a great time that evening.

Chelsea Dutkiewich: AMAZING!! I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place is so incredible that I have to! The restaurant is such a vibe, the staff made us feel right at home, and the food I don’t even have words for. It was so delicious that I woke up smiling after dreaming about it this morning. Every part of the dish was an experience on its own. I can’t wait to go back! If it’s not in your area, it’s worth the trip.

Ieza Lichauco: Superb service and amazing food! Loved our experience. Highly recommend!

Preservation Hall Eatery + Wine Bar: what do users think?

Brad Rich: Terrific burger week burger!Popped in at noon today and we were in a little bit of a rush and Preservation Hall was able to accommodate us and we were out by 12:50 - much appreciated! I really enjoyed a couple of the Kilter New England IPAs on tap. All 4 of us had the exceptional “Burger Week” burger, fries are outstanding and the house made bread is simply spectacular.

Arlene Ebora: Lovely food and service for us first time diners. Greeted pleasantly at the door, starter bread served, drinks came on time, starters followed, and then entrees came on time. We ordered butter lettuce salad, beef tartare, duck confit and buttermilk fried chicken. Water got filled the whole time. To-go box packed for us. It was flawless service and a perfect Friday night.Thank you.

sylvie landry: The drink was good. The food menu was amazing, we did not know what to choose at all

Justin Ness: First time going to this place. To start there was lots of parking; there should be no issues with that. The inside is very open and they have the option of eating inside or on the patio. Service was really good. The gentlemen that served us was pouring drinks and very attentive and patient throughout the whole sitting. I got the escargot for an appetizer which was really good. They also brought out some bread that according to the waiter was made in house and they seem to change up the type of bread as the couple that we went with noticed it was different bread. My partner got the fish and chips and said the bater was a little soft but other than that was quite good. I got the brisket which was glazed with a peach bourbon sauce and that was really nice. The price of the products is a little high but this is a “fancy place”. Probably a tier under the keg I would say. Overall would probably dine here again and a good first experience. Check it out for yourselves!Parking: In a plaza of restaurants so there’s plenty of parking.

T Eu: We came for oyster night which was well worth it on its own. We were able to come in as a walk in but make sure you do a reservation cause it does get packed on Wednesday for this special. We ordered 1/2 a charcuterie board and cheese, sous vide buttermilk fried chicken, avacado dip and all comes with house bread. The chocolate mousse was great! Lots of parking and family friendly.Vegetarian options: Not a set menu for vegetarians but customizable and there are some options. We ordered the avacado dip and it was ok but the pita that came with was great.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly restaurantParking: Tons of spots

Loc Lu: We went here just to try it out. I didn’t have high expectations just because of other experiences at restaurants lately. This place is definitely worth a visit. Friendly service, great drink options, tasty food with big portions, very wallet friendly prices. Overall this place was a breath of fresh air. We will be returning soon and recommending to our friends.

TheZomberry: and the servers were very friendly and attentive. Will eat here again soon!

Colleen Renaud: . The meats are all made there and were pretty good. Didn't enjoy the pickles or the chicken liver mousse, but the bread with the meat was very good. Beautiful decor, nice bar area.

Marilyn Kowalchuk: We finally returned to have dinner and had a great experience on Canada Day. Colin, our waiter was friendly and attentive even though he was busy looking after many other tables. I started with the oysters which are always fresh. Then we shared the Seafood Croquettes which had a great texture and mild flavor. Then we ordered the Dry Cajun Ribs and the Beet Gnocchi. The ribs were the best I've had and the Gnocchi were as soft and fluffy as a feather. It was great to pair those two dishes together. We finished with the Lemon Tart which was a great finish to a fantastic meal. I forgot to mention that I had the Coconut Mango Margarita that had great flavors and I would definitely come back soon and order one with our next visit here. We have never been disappointed at Preservation Hall. The food and service is top notch.

Anika Maria: is such a delight to chat with. He takes such passion in his craft, it resonates in the food. 💯 recommended.

Bob Smith: I should have reviewed this place years ago! I have had everything on the menu here and it’s all amazing. There is no other dining establishment in the city I can say that about. Today was a chicken shawarma and falafel. The falafel was a first today and it is the best I have ever had. The owner is such a friendly and great man, always looks to make sure you are enjoying his food and you can tell he has spent a lifetime putting his love into perfecting his food. He has a cookbook that’s called Good Mood Food. Buy it, his food is just that good mood, and healthy food!

Imtiyaz Ahmed: Good Lebanese cuisine

Anisa Adam: I used to order shawarma and fries from here and I’ve never had a tastier shawarma ever since. I left Winnipeg almost 2 years ago I’m writing this review feeling so nostalgic. If I ever decide to visit or move back to Winnipeg, this place is the first place I’d stop by to dine and enjoy

Charlie Cabungcal: Our first visit was a success today. Friendly staff and the shawarma dishes we ordered were delicious. Will definitely be coming back and trying the rest of their menu.

Rose Hull: This place is beyond words.. George is the ultimate host...as he cooks he greets u..so friendly and genuine..His food is original recipes..plentiful, TASTY..super healthy..I bought his cookbook...A true gentleman who absolutely loves what he does. His food is love..his passion..If there is anyplace I'd recommend to visit,it's here..Vegans will love it too..George will blow u away with his hospitality..The lunch special for two,is more than enough food for two..and healthy..YOU must try it..you won't be disappointed..go early because he is so busy with take out he may run out of food..for which he will apologize for ..George is an amazing business owner..

Nola: what do users think?

Joelle Kindret: I am cackling reading the bad reviews because it truly reads "WINNIPEG CHEAPSKATE".Let me assure you, reader, that every item on the menu at this restaurant is a masterpiece. The level of care and attention given to each dish, whether appetizer, entree or dessert, is remarkable. Every serving is crafted with meticulous detail and genuine care, resulting in a dining experience that is nothing short of perfect.Mike, Emily, and their hard working team have put careful thought into creating an amazing lineup of deeeeeeelicious food and beverage pairings, featuring both amazing wines and cocktails. The menu at Nola offers a wide variety of incredible food options to choose from. If you happen to leave the restaurant hungry, it's not because the portion sizes are small, but simply that you opted to skimp on your night out.

S.L. T: Have been here a couple times, all meals sooo so so good. Eat so much you are waddling out cause you can't stop. Last time I went though, I asked about a cocktail and if it were smoky as one of the ingredients seemed like it was something with that sort of flavour. It wasn't mezcal because I know it's not my thing and I would have stayed away. The waitress told me a bit unconfidently, as if thinking really hard about it, that it wasn't, so I ordered it and thought nothing of it. It turned out yes to be quite smoky and so I just traded drinks with my friend across the table and didn't say anything because it wasn't a big deal. But I would have preferred her to just go ask! But all other experiences have been great minus that 1 minor thing.

PC: What a fantastic spot. Amazing food, great customer service. I love the atmosphere. I'm just upset that I didn't come here sooner.I'll definitely be back soon, again!

Paul K: and the air conditioning inside could not keep up. We sat beside the thermostat and it said 80F! Thank you for a great evening!

Hazel “Yenchagirl” GS: A unique, delicious menu. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. It is hard to find a restaurant to have lunch when you are Gluten Free and your friend is not. Many menu items were easily adapted to my needs. It was a refreshing change. I had chicken karaage over a delicious slaw. Great service, wonderful food.Dietary restrictions: Many items are easily made gluten free and they have a dedicated fryer 🙂
