I'd worked with Rempel before and was happy to be able to get them to take on this project for me - it was very close to a complete gut of the unit and there was no room in my little place that was untouched including a full kitchen and bath re-do. While I don't recommend trying to renovate during a pandemic, Ivan and John and their team did a great job. I came with some drawings and they worked hard to make sure my vision of a 1970's vibe condo came to life. There were a few little ups and downs - as there always is in any renovation in my experience - but working with Rempel just gave me confidence that things were happening the way they should and that someone was taking care of me and my place. In the most recent project the crew that came out to work were friendly and respectful to both my wife and our dog, who were home throughout the experience. The work was done in a timely manner and within the quote they had outlined. Their quote was by far the most organized and detailed of all that I received and their communication throughout was swift and encouraging. I was concerned that I would have to play a part in the project management side of things, but Belvidere dealt with all of the many details on their end so I could just sit back without worry. It was painless. The crew were professional and worked incredibly hard. They completed the job sooner than I had anticipated and left my yard in immaculate condition so that it was like they were never there. This was a really big job and I'm kind of stunned at just how smoothly everything went. Highly recommended.
Nicole Sidley: We had a big foundation job to get done which consisted of getting 11 piles put in and doing a lift on our house. The entire process took around three and a half weeks. Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable in their job. The crew continuously worked hard, were very polite and did an amazing job of cleaning up every evening before they left. Marcel Fortier: Very happy with Belvidere Construction. From the advice to the assessment to the actual repair work, found this company's staff to be knowledgeable, honest, and professional.From first contact they recommended that I get an independent survey from an engineer who specializes in foundation repairs; I contacted Belvidere again to discuss repair options after I had the survey done.Due to house leaning excessively, I chose to pay extra to have it leveled. They were specific in the contract that could not promise a full leveling; this is due to avoiding any structural damage during the lift. In the end they managed to raise corner of house enough that list is barely noticeable now. Large bow window was especially vulnerable to damage; no issues during or after lift.Two sides of foundation had to be excavated and underpinned to accomplish the lift. Work was done without damaging the house and with little impact on the yard.Working to my engineer's satisfaction, plies were sunk in correct numbers and to correct depth. Waterproofing done has lifetime warranty and is fully transferable.Final cost was same as initial quote. Although I got cheaper quote from a competitor, wasn't happy with other because they were less thorough is assessment, didn't want to do a lift, and didn't even recommend an engineering survey. They stated that only 1 side of foundation needed to be underpinned; I'd rather put my faith in engineer's assessment.

Dale came out to provide an obligation free estimate and spent about 45 minutes with me discussing how he could bring my vision to reality. Other contractors were in and out in 10 minutes and didn't care to discuss my vision in such depth. Ten years later we wouldn’t think of having anyone else when we decided to do a complete demolition and renovation of our basement and covered patio. There is something to be said for a renovation/building company when all the same staff that worked on our first project are still there. Jeff was our site foreman 10 years ago, and along with Tony and Luis did an exceptional job transforming our upstairs. The Harwood team is made up of the best craftsman and creative designers, as is shown in the beautiful projects that they've produced over the years. But a lot of what makes Harwood so great is in the things you can't see - high quality construction and attention to the smallest of details. When I photograph a Harwood home I only have to level my tripod once, and then proceed with all of the photos - that means that the floors are completely level throughout the home; not something that's common among builders. Wayne is friendly and approachable as I've witnessed in the friendship he has with his clients once a project is finished. I'd highly recommend using Harwood for your remodel or new home build!

We were always asked to approve any changes. David was very forthcoming with the available options and had accurate ballpark pricing for each option. HRT also went above and beyond by performing odd-jobs around the property for things that needed any aesthetic or any functional attention. Again, nothing was ever done without our approval.Fair pricing, expert opinion and fast but not rushed, high-quality work. I would highly recommend HRT Construction Ltd and wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

When I saw that an area wasn’t painted the right shade of white they happily corrected it! They didn’t make me feel uncomfortable with my complaint. Larry Drebniski: We had some moisture damage in 2 areas in our house. This spring in March they were becoming worse. This needed to be resolved. We called several contractors. Some never returned the call. Others said they will not be available till the fall. HRT Construction was recommended to us by a realtor. Dave from HRT returned our call immediately and came over to assess the problem. He offered a logical step by step approach to locate the source of the moisture and repairing the damage walls. Because of the cold weather, water testing needed to be delayed. The weather continued to be a problem. Dave's crew were courteous and efficient. They were over as soon as the weather permitted. Although the issue was more involved than first anticipated, we never felt that we were taken advantage of. The options were always offered with in our best interest in mind. Given the circumstances, the work was completed in a timely manner and the repairs look fantastic. HRT is advertised as a company with heart. We fully agree with that statement. We would definitely give HRT construction an A+ for workmanship and professionalism.
