From Winnipeg to Thunder Bay to Brandon to Flin Flon to Steinbach and everywhere in Central Canada, people of any background can become addicted to alcohol or other addictions. If you or someone you know is struggling with substance addiction, Adult & Teen Challenge’s faith-based program offers drug or alcohol addiction rehab centres and outpatient programs to help you get back to sobriety with compassionate counselling, individual therapy, outpatient rehab and other treatment options.

When combining an evidence-based rehab with a faith-based approach, a rehab approach like ours goes beyond the norm, by providing a full spectrum of services. From the first point of contact with the family to years after completing a program we are working at proving every level of help a family needs to walk in freedom from addiction. Our programs focus on:

Group therapy & Individual counseling for substance abuse problems, with techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Boundaries: A nine-session series on creating healthy family dynamics in the aftermath of addiction

Concerned Persons: A nine-week study group for those who have loved ones living with alcohol and drug addiction

Restoring Families: A Christian counseling program for those affected by abuse in the home

Committed Couples: A workshop for married or engaged people to explore God’s plan for them with a focus on acceptance and spiritual growth

Adult & Teen Challenge is a leading substance use disorder program with centres across the world. We provide faith-based treatment with holistic services to those battling addictions, such as behavioural therapy, and help dealing with withdrawal symptoms in a supported environment.

Studies show that in Canada, it’s estimated that approximately 21% of the population (about 6 million people) will meet the criteria for a substance abuse disorder in their lifetime. Given the high number of people in need of treatment for substance abuse issues and dual diagnosis treatment for those with co-occurring mental illness, it’s imperative rehab centres are available to help.

If you’re a woman struggling to stay sober from drugs and alcohol, we offer a women-only rehab program to help you recover from substance use disorders. Our addiction treatment programs offer guidance on how to build a stronger relationship with God and the means to earn workplace certificates and learn about relapse prevention. Adult & Teen Challenge of Central Canada has two exclusive women-only alcohol treatment centers, one in Brandon, Manitoba, and one in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

The Brandon Centre is located on a small plot of beautiful natural space in the heart of the wilderness 15 minutes from Brandon. This facility features a large yard and roomy indoor spaces to conduct group therapy or simply relax, as well as a large wraparound patio to enjoy the view. We’re currently planning to create a family expansion within the Brandon centre to allow mothers to have their children in the rehab program with them while they heal.

Our Thunder Bay women’s treatment center is a 10-bed house near the Lake Superior waterfront. Residents cook and dine in an open-concept kitchen and sleep in cozy rooms that overlook the Sleeping Giant. The curriculum at Thunder Bay, as with our other location, focuses on addiction treatment, as well as life skills coaching to get women back on their path to success once they leave rehab.
