Many years ago I saw Swan Lake performed by the Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet Co. in England, and I was hooked on ballet.The 'Swan Lake' I saw last week was absolutely stunning,- the dancers and the orchestra were wonderful, and the scenery,- just amazing,- the backdrop of the lake, trees and swans was a work of art. Taylor Ewatski: I am so excited to be returning to Shelley Shearer this fall! This studio is an amazing family oriented community that provides excellent dance instruction to their students. The knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for dance is evident among all faculty members. In my previous years here I have been given the great opportunity to be a part of their Invitational Musical Theatre Program which led me to compete in local dance competitions such as Thunderstruck Dance Canada, Canadian National Dance Championships, and Manitoba Dance Festival. As well as part of their year-end recitals. Dancing in Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, you name it! There are classes for everyone all the way from 2 to Adult! I have made many great memories here, and been taught many valuable life lessons. I can’t wait to return and make many more! I highly recommend!

Because only then was I shown how amazing this dance studio is.Some of these comments are hilarious. Getting mad about paying for pictures or recital tickets - guess what, nothing in life is free and you pay for quality. Every studio charges for recitals unless you are registered with a bundy cheap dance studio that doesn't even teach your child how to dance. And don't want to pay for dance pics - no one forces you too. That's your choice to take a cheap pic with your phone and frame that.The staff are and always have been welcoming 24/7 from day one. Patient, knowledgable and welcoming always. They have made our entire family feel like their extended family since the minute we registered.I am so happy my daughter dances at LA Dance. They continue to inspire her and encourage her to reach her dreams. Any one who honestly has a bad comment or vibe about LA Dance Academy needs to re-evaluate themselves!!! Much love...
Dance: I've seen some of the negative posts and I'm just baffled because my family LOVES this studio! If you click on those who have negatively reviewed it however i'm not surprised as they seem to have a bad review on every place they've ever been to...Anways!... We just finished my daughters photo day and the amazing staff made the day so special and the photo process is very easy and smooth. They never pressure you to buy photos and its so nice to have this as an optional add on because I would never have time to do this on my own! We love that their front desk staff is available at all times to answer our questions and they are always so welcoming. The instructors are also so friendly and are so great with the kids! We've been to a few dance studios and this one is by far the best one!

Teacher’s were so fun and friendly. This dance school is not only for little girls, but for little boys too! It’s a fun and great place to spend their extra energy as they do alot of movement while learning to follow instructions at the same time. I highly recommend this place.

Chloe Rose: Both me and my brother have danced here. Ms. Shum is smart, experienced and an outstanding ballet teacher. I highly recommend this studio for dancers of all ages and abilities.
Dana Feal: The teachers at Institute work with each and every student to set them up to succeed. They identify students' strengths and choreograph to fit the individual personalities of the students. The teachers go far beyond the time of the classes to assist with practicing and preparing for competitions. The teachers are great - the expertise of Bernadette and Megan are especially valued and awarding-winning Christabel inspires the students to perform to their best.
Ming-Ka Chan: Our family has been part of this community of dance since 2007. The diversity and creativity has been fabulous; most importantly, the dancers learn, stay fit and have fun. Thanks to all the teachers, choreographers, costume designers for all that you do !

Owen Bradshaw: Our kids have been involved at Theatre Dance Centre for several years now. They have been involved in musical theatre productions and dance classes. The instruction is top notch, but my appreciation for TDC goes well beyond excellent instruction.Over the last year and a half TDC has been a safe space when in-person learning has been possible and something our kids have looked forward to every week even when classes shifted online. The efforts made by Kathleen and her instructors to care for kids, to help them find joy in the midst of a pandemic, and to teach them have been nothing short of remarkable.Our kids can’t wait for the 2021/2022 season to start!

Gregory Dube: Just a clean, refreshing newly built studio with nice wooden bleacher seating for the parents to watch their dancer. My 5 year old daughter attends mini dance camp and the instructor seems fully capable showing a constant glow that keeps the kids engaged.

Ginette Enns: I had the pleasure of taking the New Adult Fitness Class with Mr. Tyrell and it was ridiculously fun! He was an amazing instructor who made us laugh and made us brave enough to want to push out of our comfort zones so we could harness our inner JLo's!! The facilities were very clean and the staff welcoming and they make you feel extremely comfortable! I definitely recommend this Dance Studio! Sorry folks my bad this review was for Island Lakes!! Although from what I hear this dance studio is the Bomb too so...I stand by this review for Sterling Lyon too!!
Andre Buisse: Great dance school! Have tried a few others but my 3 girls just love it hear. The teaching staff is energetic, friendly and talented. Only thing worth nothing is that the classes can be large, especially the invitationals. Despite that, my girls love it!

Diane Fulton: At the age of 3, my daughter was a shy child who was very reluctant to try new things. We decided to enroll her in ballet classes at our neighbourhood dance studio. On her very first day at a trial lesson, Ms. Amanda welcomed her and made her feel instantly comfortable. Her calm and pleasant demeanor brightened up the room and instantly developed my daughter's love and passion for dance. Since then, dance has consumed my daughter's life and this was in large part to Ms. Amanda's dedication as a teacher and the creative ways she instructed her dance classes. My daughter still talks about baking a cake and putting on all the toppings when she does her stretching. Four years later, my daughter has joined the competitive dance company at the studio and always has dance on her mind. She actively participates in seven classes a week! Dance has built her confidence and she has transferred many of the skills she has learned to other areas of her life. She is a hard worker, who tries new things and pushes and challenges herself everyday. We owe this to Ms. Amanda's caring and patient nature, energy and enthusiasm for dance and dedication to teaching her students. My daughter will never forget the role Ms. Amanda has played in her life.

I have danced at the studio for 23 years, and would recommend it to anyone who wants to dance where achievement is marked by personal growth, creative expression, commitment to the art, and embodying the ethos of Superfun! Cara Mason: My 4 year old started taking dance classes here in September 2021. We were nervous about her being around other kids since her dad is immunocompromised, and we know not everyone takes COVID precautions as seriously as we do. I was so happy to see that they have a very organized system for keeping everyone safe! They even sent us class recordings since we couldn’t stay in the studio and watch. The recordings only confirmed that this was the perfect studio for us. Their instructors are engaging, knowledgeable, and know just how to work with this age group. Each week that my daughter had “good listening ears” she was given a sticker. It was a really good motivator for our very easily distracted child. Shout out to Ms Kaylah, Ms Emily, and Ms Orielle for being such a delightful addition in our lives!
C J Parrott: got to see Orielle's choreography and students/dancers in a video shoot and was blown away by how good they were. i never truly appreciated how athletic and hard it must be to be a dancer and to come up with moves to fit the song.... it was super impressive.... and the camaraderie among the dancers was cool... goofing around and laughing and supporting each other... sharing ideas... so positive. i think dance would be a fun and healthy way for kids to stay active, build teamwork and provide a lifelong "sport" to stay healthy and live long.... i highly recommend TDM for anything dance related!

Lorraine Swanson: Orielle came back to Winnipeg at the peak of her career to open Winnipeg's newest studio. She is a very well rounded dancer, teacher and choreographer of many styles and a world class specialist of "heels" . The studio is a great space with 2 classrooms, change rooms and a space for the kids to do homework. My daughter is a full-time student else where but she takes drop-in classes at TDM when she can and absolutely loves the staff who make her feel so welcome. This is a great modern studio that cares about Winnipeg's dance community and has already enriched it.
