LE CONTINENTAL - Cuisine Francaise - Fruits de Mer / Homard / Steak - Flambé: what do users think?

Linda Goff: This elegant restaurant has white linen tablecloths, waiters in tuxedo and tableside meat preparation for a stunning show. The food was beyond delicious. I had the sea scallops and they were tender, juicy and melt in your mouth good. Will definitely return!!Parking: Best to walk

Rachel Shiells: The best restaurant I’ve ever been to. The service was incredible, including the table side service. We didn’t go more than 1 minute without fresh bread, water, or a drink refill. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and recommended great options. The lychee martini was amazing. Highly recommend the filet mignot and the orange duck. The seared foie Gras was also amazing. The tableside caesar salad was the best I’ve ever had! The sugar pie tasted authentic and was the perfect serving for 2. By far our favourite restaurant in Quebec City and we will definitely be back!

Rosangela Mastronardi: We too were encouraged to book by the excellent reviews.Impeccable service and food.Very attentive staff with right service times.Excellent value for money. The flambé dishes prepared in front of the customer are suggestive.I highly recommend a visit.

Jim Wyatt: 2024-04-18 We had ceasar salad, Chateaubriand for two and crepes suzette, all prepared at table side. Our server/chef/wine steward was a wonderful gentleman that provided excellent service in a relaxed, professional manner that added to this fine evening. From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated to the fine dining experience we were hoping for. Although pricey, as we expected, it was worth every penny.

For dessert I had the Tonka bean creme brulee and it's the best creme brulee I've ever had. 10/10 and highly recommend.

Bistro L'Orygine: what do users think?

MARC-OLIVIER AMNOTTE: We had the chance to experience an unforgettable brunch last Sunday. The service was exceptional, thanks to Gabriel and Philippe who took care of us as if we were family. It was probably the best meal I have eaten, the flavors, the textures were perfect. Thanks again to the entire team that I had the chance to meet in the kitchen. Don't give up on your good work!

B Thomas: We’ve experienced great vegan fare in London, Brugges, Bucharest, Tallinn, etc but none were as exceptional or memorable as L’Orygine! The atmosphere is modern and very cozy. A really awesome vibe to it and an opportunity to watch the bartender mix his creations right from our table. The service was outstanding!! The waitstaff were all very engaging and could not do enough for us. Very friendly and quick to fulfill our requests. We enjoyed the 6-course Discovery menu. Not only was each dish visually appealing but each was unique and exceptionally pleasing to the palate. Some very creative fare. I could continue on for many more paragraphs but suffice it to say that L’Orygine is a must visit dining experience when in Quebec. Highly, highly recommend!!Vegetarian options: Some great vegan and vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: Very accommodating for dietary restrictions

Martin Lajoie: We went there recently for their special menu featuring crab. Everything was excellent and yet I'm not really a fan of shellfish. I only gave 4 stars for the atmosphere because the previous time I was seated in a section next to a large, very noisy group. The main room is better suited for one-on-one dinners.Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian menu.

Philippe Liotard: Excellent tasting with a variation around snow crab in six dishes. The flavors and scents do not deceive about the quality of the products. The service is efficient.Soft atmosphereOnly the price can make you hesitate

Antoine Boissinot: Impeccable service. Special attention to small details that stands out. The employees are all very courteous and demonstrate great professionalism.Exceptional food. We had the six-course discovery menu with oysters as a starter. Everything was well prepared with careful presentation. Special mention to the hot oysters with Foin de Grève and veal tartare!Beautiful cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The tables are well spaced. Our meal lasted about three hours and we were very comfortable throughout. An impeccable gastronomic experience!

Sonia Caron: Excellent food!Impeccable service!

P J: We were very impressed with the food. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. The dishes are beautifully crafted with such special attention to the balance of flavours, textures and colours. We had the gravlax with spaghetti squash, the lamb and zaatar, the scallops and the wild boar, and the squash cannoli dessert. The service also was impeccable. We were visiting from Montreal, and will be sure to dine there again whenever we are back in Québec!

Martin Chabot: What more can I say, it's the best restaurant in the world, the food is splendid, I had the discovery menu with non-alcoholic wine pairing. It was the best experience. The dishes and pairings are in perfect symbiosis and offer an exceptional tasting experience! The service is impeccable and very courteous!! The menu changes every season, I'm already looking forward to the next menu. Thanks to chef Sabrina Lemay for this culinary orgasm

Daphné Berthiaume: A jewel ! What a joy to have made this discovery. Having loved the Lair, I enjoyed my experience there just as much. We feel like kings as we are treated with such great care. The food is tasty, each dish was an explosion of the most pleasant flavors which paired perfectly with the pairing of the mocktails that we chose as an option. A real pleasure that we will treat ourselves to again considering that the menu changes with the seasons. An experience to try, especially since they adapt to all diets. My congratulations to the chef! Vegan gastronomy is certainly possible!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, pescovegetarian

Josée-Anne Goupil: Everything was impeccable, the welcome, the meal and the atmosphere. We have adored.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are deliciousDietary restrictions: My daughter has dietary restrictions and they adapted her menu.

Légende: what do users think?

Vegetarian options: The vegetarian selection is very varied and for high-end restaurants that seems to be rare. Thumbs up to the chef for this.

Renee Elsie Lendic: and purchased a bottle of wine to match all of the dishes. The staff were all very professional and had no issues conversing with us in English. Our only comment on the evening was that we wished there was a cheese course but that’s a minor thing and I would recommend this place to visitors and locals.Vegetarian options: A vegetarian menu is availableParking: We chose to get to the venue with an Uber, there is street parking around but would be difficult in the summer months I’m sure.

Cam Sarchi: My family tried this restaurant having never heard of it before. I tried the chef's course since I had always wanted to try a pre-planned menu and they altered all the appropriate dishes to match my dietary needs without changing the course too much. Our staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgable. The venue was small/intimate and very comfortable! The food was excellently made and we enjoyed all of it!Dietary restrictions: As someone with severe nut and shellfish allergies, it's not always very easy for restaurants to make accommodations. They not only made sure everything was safe, but they found substitutions for every dish that I could not eat so that I could get the absolute full experience. They not only explained that the food was safe, but described how they had altered it to make it safe for me

Bleu Marine: what do users think?

Philippe Henry: A great experience. What makes Bleu Marine unique is the daring concept where the chef chooses the menu for the evening, transforming each plate into an exquisite gastronomic surprise. Unexpected and surprising flavors and associations. We were 3 couples and all took the 6 courses with food & wine pairing. Each wine presented with the dishes was incredible and elevated the dining experience to another level. One of the people in the group didn't eat seafood and the kitchen team adapted it beautifully for her, offering equally stunning and delicious alternatives. The service matched the quality of the dishes. The chef or sommelier explained to us what we had in front of us with contagious passion and pride. We all loved it and would definitely return.

Patrick Burnside: Unprecedented dining experienceWe asked to arrive late and we were treated like royalty by a proprietor and chef who clearly enjoy their passion of fine dining....I can't thank the staff enough for the best meal of my lifePlease don't hesitate to have a fantastic meal at Bleu Marine. We come annually to Quebec and this experience was just amazing.

Leif Quraeshi: We enjoyed a wonderful six course dinner. Each dish was well thought out, inventive and elegant. The owner was so attentive and took pride in his work. The Bleu Marine epitomizes the exciting cuisine that makes Quebec City so special. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: They accommodate any dietary restrictions upon request.

Kyle McFerren: One of the best meals we had on our recent vacation to Quebec and Montreal. Really tasty small dishes - note that you will need more than one for a full meal. Friendly wait staff, cozy atmosphere. Also be prepared for a true "slow food" experience. Not that the service is slow, but everything is very unhurried. We spent at least 2 hours there and were the first ones from our seating to leave.

Philippe Nguyen: Absolutely fantastic. Difficult to reserve, but one of the best meals of my life. The menu is thoughtful, balanced and perfectly executed. The service is friendly and friendly. 10/10

Flora B: A 10/10 experience from start to finish! We enter the restaurant and we already feel warmly welcomed. Chef Tim comes spontaneously to our table, super friendly and pleasant! Then we quickly discover that he is also extremely talented through all the dishes, all delights with refined flavors. We were happy to discover local products and I was touched by their eco-responsible values and their no-tipping concept, a first for me in Quebec. They accommodated the fact that I was pregnant very well. With generosity and pleasure they offered me equally delicious alternatives.I recommend it to anyone who wants a splendid culinary experience while encouraging kind-hearted people. Thank you for the party.

Sara F: Really good food but a little bit overpriced, also some of the flavours were not perfectly balanced for my taste due to the concept of local procurement

GC: Very nice experience. The best restaurant I ate at in Quebec. Top service 👍

John Downing: 1st time visitors - we will certainly return! A wonderful dining experience. Fred, Alex, and Tim are superb hosts. Our dinner was creative and delicious. The environment was casually sophisticated. In short, a great time was enjoyed by all - find time to enjoy a wonderful dinner served by a team of professionals dedicated to sustainable dining.

Kat Read: , to the mushroom ravioli covered in a snow of sheep's milk cheese, to the vivid orange carrots bathed in an ethereally light glowing turmeric hollandaise, each bite was more delicious than the last. It was a truly special meal, one I will never forget. I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to dine at Alentours.

Sophie DeBlois: Simply WOW.Avant-garde concept.

Le Hobbit: what do users think?

Daniel Ibiapina: It is very good. The food is exceptional

Wai Wai: We had no booking for this restaurant and was lucky to get a table for our early dinner at 5.45pm.The restaurant had a very cosy ambience with perfect lighting and background music. We were greeted warmly by our waitress Karel who introduced the 3 course menu and answered any questions on the menu. I ordered the soft shell crab to start, roast pork belly as a main and the open sesame for dessert. The starter was two pieces of soft shell crab, cooked perfectly with the right amount of flavouring accompanied by fennel cooked three ways. Very tasty and recommended if you are a fan of soft shell crab.Main was roast pork belly accompanied by Parisian gnocchi and parsnip purée. The pork belly and the sauce it was served in went extremely well with the purée and gnocchi as they balanced out the flavour of the sauce perfectly.Lastly, finished with the orange panna cotta with sesame ice cream. The flavours were intricate and very well layered inside the cake. A great way to finish our meal indeed! Both Sylvie and Karel looked after us extremely well. Service was immaculate and made our visit here at the restaurant a 5⭐️ experience! Thanks to the whole team at Le Hobbit for a wonderful meal!

Timur Kocaurlu: Very good atmosphere, with musicians.Very warm welcome, with little waiting in service. The meal was good

Catherine Fleurent: We went there on a Friday evening, it was the first time I had gone there. I loved the atmosphere, the service was fast. However, the queue to play pool was 2 hours. Perhaps they should impose a time limit when pool tables are used to prevent the same group from hogging a pool table all evening. I also didn't like the fact that the place became a nightclub from around 10 p.m. We no longer heard each other speak.

GrosTaco: Recommended dishes Pâte Aux Saumon Fumé

Marilou C: We had a lovely evening, good food, playing pool and good ambient music. A little expensive for me but overall I recommend.Vegetarian options: Vegetable salad and skewer

Bistro Hortus: what do users think?

Olivya Lemay: .The dishes are varied, gluten-free, with several vegetarian options. I preferred my brunch food experience from a few months ago to my current evening experience. The quality/price ratio in the evening seems less interesting to me; the products could be further refined. I chose the vegetarian stew, which I mostly liked, but it was missing something. Some vegetables were older than others. The homemade honey fermented garlic was very interesting though.I still come away satisfied; the service and professionalism of the staff was able to compensate for the minor shortcomings of the food.To try !

Monique A.: I’m celiac and all the menu is gluten free. It’s delicious. I will 100% recommend to everyone visiting Quebec.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

Restaurant Tanière³: what do users think?

Thomas Shin: Quite possibly the best dining experience I've ever had. I have done Michelin starred tasting menus at a couple places around the world and this is at the top.I won't post pictures of food since I think they like to keep that a surprise, but I'll post pictures of the interior which were wholly unique and immersive. The staff were very accommodating to my allergies and my wife's pregnancy. They ran down the list of what would be okay for my pregnant wife and what would not. That was very much appreciated.Of course the food was delicious and so creative but I won't say too much so as not to ruin anything. If I am ever in Quebec City again, I will definitely stop by again.

Guillaume Dorion: Paul enjoyed his best restaurant experience. The professionalism of all the staff is breathtaking. The dishes are all very tasty and their presentation is an integral part of the experience. The choice of cutlery highlights all the sublime aromas of the Quebec territory. This culinary experience will engage all your senses. The decor of the restaurant is breathtaking. The decoration of the vaults immerses us in history while creating a feeling of intimacy. Wine and cocktail pairings enhance the flavor of dishes. The experience is finely prepared and allows us to abandon ourselves to all these senses

Mister Guigz: Restaurant La Tanière in Quebec City offers an exceptional gastronomic experience in an enchanting setting. Its warm and authentic atmosphere, combined with elegant rustic decoration, creates an incomparable immersion from the moment you enter. The service stands out for its professionalism and attention to detail, offering you a personalized experience. The creative and refined cuisine highlights local and seasonal ingredients, capturing the flavors of the Quebec region. Although the cost may seem high at first glance, the overall experience more than justifies the investment, making La Tanière an essential destination for lovers of haute cuisine and memorable culinary memories.Vegetarian options: The experience can be enjoyed by vegetarians without problem.Dietary restrictions: Dietary restrictions taken seriously.Parking: There is no parking on site. I recommend the Canotiers parking lot or a Taxi.

Vicky Dextraze: The most memorable restaurant and dining experience of my life! It's actually more than a restaurant or even a simple culinary experience, it's a show, pure art! 😅 The chef's experience is definitely worth it, with the wine pairing. Allow at least 3 to 4 hours, but I loved all the moments, the surprises, the dishes, the different rooms, their history, their decoration and even more the fact of being served local products from our area! Thank you to all of you! 😇

Léonie Bernard-Abel: Yesterday was our 4th visit to the Lair and it still felt like the very first time. This place is magical, the service impeccable and attentive, the flavors are full of finesse, the dishes are sophisticated, magnificent and bring back vague happy memories. Truly, it’s our favorite restaurant in the world. Nothing compares to it and it’s an experience you never forget. This is definitely a must try in a lifetime! Thanks again to the whole team for making us experience this, time after time.

Bello Ristorante: what do users think?

Haritos Kavallos: Bello was recommended to me by staff over at the Clos Saint-Louis hotel next door. On a relatively quiet and gloomy Thursday evening, the place was full of people and vibrant. Might be a challenge to get a seat without a reservation, but I enjoyed the bar sitting all the same. Their food was fantastic… and their have a fair collection of wines and drinks from the bar that you can choose to enjoy. If you are looking for a good Italian foodie experience, you will not be disappointed by what Bello has to offer.
