The guests we had were still talking about how great the food and bar service was for a week after!The owner ended up being our main contact person and was present during the event. He was fantastic the whole time and even helped us with venue related issues. Andrew Dalziel: Top shelf catering experience for my partner's birthday. Excellent communication with Nick to organize and discuss the order. Prompt updates when they were on the way to drop off the food. Ordered pulled pork, ribs, mac and cheese, cornbread and coleslaw. Ordered for 15-20 people but would probably had fed 40 people.The food was a hit with everyone at the party. It was excellent value for money and food came hot and ready to eat. I would thoroughly recommend Meatings for your next event! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

The servers made sure to come to us first with the passed appetizers and saved us a few when we were busy talking. Everyone raved about how good the food was, and we were nice and full and ready to drink and party after dinner! Mat also went above and beyond and helped us cut and serve our cake which was so nice. Really appreciate everything!! Highly recommend. Also the tasting was so fun before the wedding.

He was able to craft drinks that were not on the menu and weren’t recognized classics, but also the classic cocktails were elevated and the execution was perfect.When seated I noticed that we were walking toward a table with no table candle. Without even looking, the host pulled a light off an empty table and put it on ours.The food was flavourful, feels like it has a lot of thought and care put into it, and the menu is accommodating but not overwhelming.We will absolutely be back, if not for the service for the outstanding bartending!!!Vegetarian options: They have many flavourful vegetarian and vegan options

The chef came to my table and discussed the issue as well as he offered options including a replacement. We received a tasty filet mignon and cooked to perfection, according to our tastes; the beans, carrots were al dente and hot as were the mushrooms. A salad, equally delicious, was served as a starter. We were served a generous portion of warm bread accompanied by whipped garlic butter. The meal was delicious. The manager also stopped at our table to collect our empty plates and inquired if everything was correct, and in French! The atmosphere is very good.

Maureen M: Keg is always great and this visit didn't disappoint!! Our server was so sweet. We had the crispy cauliflower appetizer and wow it was so super delicious. The server warned us it might be a little spicy as the dipping sauce was a chipotle sauce, we we found it not too spicy at all, just delicious!!I ordered the 10 Oz classic prime rib and it was done to perfection. It came with a Caesar salad. The crispy onions I love, the mushrooms delightful. I chose the cauliflower mash and it's a great option if you're watching your carbs!My sister ordered the filet mignon and again was quite happy with it. Mom opted for two appetizers as her meal, chosing the crab cakes and the lobster bisque. It looked amazing and she hasn't stopped talking about it since.Dessert we opted to share a Billy Miner pie and omg it was better than I'd remembered.I had occasion to use the ladies room and it was clean and well appointed.All in all, it was a great meal and worth every penny! Enjoy your visit!Parking: They have a huge lot at this location and I can't imagine parking being an issue.Wheelchair accessibility: Very easy access, all ground level with ramps where needed and several accessibility parking spots.

Christine Stenger: We had an excellent lunch today! We stopped in while walking around town and did a walk in. I loved the art here and enjoyed the service. They have exceptional service. Our server was very knowledgeable about the foods, the cheese, the wine, and more. I felt like I was able to truly understand what I was eating and where the food was coming from. I love this level of details when eating out.The wine was amazing. The small plates are paired with suggested wines. And I have to say they definitely met the mark. I had two seafood plates. The fish patty and a mini fillet. The sides were perfect accompaniments. I also loved being able to see art from all directions. The restaurant is rather small but very central. Out the window I could see the Ottawa sign and tourist reveling in the fun of it.I highly recommend this for lunch!Vegetarian options: There was a African rice dish on the menu for lunch. I also saw a few starters that were also veg.Dietary restrictions: They request you let them know if you have any restrictions.

Mikhaël Bélanger: I went to Play for the first time a few years ago, before COVID, and always considered it one of the best dining experiences I had in my life. I didn't have a chance to come back until yesterday, probably 6 years later. Let me tell you, that experience has not changed a bit. I have been to fancy restaurants like Bouchon and Blue Hill, and I still would pick Play over them in a heartbeat.The food is .... Mesmerizing. Their ramp gnocchi nearly made me cry of joy, the scallop crudo paired with that incredible Italian wine was mind blowing, and everything else, though not as memorable, was on point.We were served by Laureen, a Play's veteran who made us feel like longtime guests.Play is without a doubt one of the best restaurants I have been to in my life. Incredible and yet, perfectly accessible. You should never hesitate to come.
Quenby Joanette: I had a large party for my husband's birthday, but the waitstaff at Play seemed to effortlessly keep up with all 9 of us. We went for their wine list and were not disappointed. We split bottles of amazing wine between us, and it was genuinely an immersive experience. Who needs Prince Edward County or the Niagara region when you have Play? It was a tasting extravaganza and so very memorable. Thank you to everyone who made this a birthday to remember. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the staff funny and professional. Next time, we plan on eating the food rather than just raiding their wine cellar.
Sonya Gankina: Went for Valentine's day and came back this week. Always lovely service. Interesting unique high-end craft cocktails. Love the variation of food depending on seasonality. Nice to get an "appetizer" from top half of menu and a "main" from bottom half - the ramp gnocchi is unreal. Kitchen even put on extra blue cheese for me like I asked which was very sweet. Incredible value of two generous high-quality plates for $49 compared to other fine dining places. Atmosphere nice but not pretentious.

Den of Lore: My friends kidnapped me during a hard time in my life this year and brought me here for dinner. It was a poor choice on there part as I was going to take advantage of the situation as it was their tab and an excellent choice as it is the pinnacle of fine dining in steak and seafood. Emma our server was what I’d expect of attentive punctual and focused. The chef cooked the best medium rare steak I’ve ever had. And they have Oban 14 which I enjoyed several. One of the best birthdays ever.
