Chef Viri Rico opened Border MX with the vision to share a little piece of Mexico's culture and cuisine with Canadian food lovers. Born in Mexico City, Chef Rico is an honours graduate from the University of the Cloister of Sor Juana's esteemed culinary program. She is passionate about creating high-quality, freshly-made dishes from scratch inspired by her mother and grandmother’s passion for cooking and restaurant background.

Border MX opened its doors in 2014 and quickly established itself as a local hotspot in Streetsville.
