Manan Kapoor: Tried after kissing quite a few frogs. Having had some great mexican.. most restaurants in Canada in this realm did disappoint. But El Mariachi stood out for really good food.. great atmosphere and service. The loaded nachos and burrito were great. The Chicken Tinga left a lot to be desired in taste. Chicken felt raw and undercooked. I came home with leftovers and added salt and paprika to the chicken and cooked it in a pan.. and it was perfect.Washrooms were not very clean.

The food is absolutely delicious and the portions are generous. We almost always bring a meal’s worth of leftovers home. The enchiladas, chimichangas, empanadas and chips and guac are family favourites. They also have fabulous frozen cocktails! So yummy.Be prepared for a wait in the summertime, as it’s a popular spot and the streetsville location doesn’t currently take reservations. We always go with that in mind - and find the wait manageable.The restaurant’s atmosphere is cheerful and we love the little hidden patio in the back. Service is consistently good and attentive.For amazing Mexican food this is definitely the place to go!

Z: I recently visited a highly popular halal taco restaurant and ordered the 5 lamb birria taco platter. The experience was truly amazing! The tacos were bursting with authentic flavours and generously packed with birria meat. The consomé was equally delightful, and I highly recommend trying the green salsa made from mexican green tomatoes. The customer service, provided by Jahaira, was exceptional, and to top it off, we received complimentary churros for dessert. I highly recommend this place!!! I've tried various halal taco spots in the city, but this one stands out as the best in my opinion.

The nice lady at the front counter gave me her recommendations and the lamb birria one blew my mind - it was soo good! The pork one was also tasty but I personally found the chicken taco to be a little dry. The hot salsa could also be a bit spicier in my opinion but really good food nevertheless

Chris Payne: Location is great and loved the puppies on the patio! The staff were super laid back and nice, especially for a Monday. I appreciated their service but was slow yo being the bill. I loved the tacos, but admittedly some of them were far better than the others. Fish tacos were great, but the pork were pretty bad. The chips and guac were stellar though! So ask your server about their favourites before you order! The drinks on the other hand were fantastic! I would go here to drink any time, as just being there is fun. Colourful, outdoor patio and sort of secret room vibe on the inside. Loved it and will probably be back for drinks!

Nicole Ranney: I had the fish taco and it was a delicious light lunch. It was crispy, fresh, balanced and tasty. My daughter had the quesadilla and it tasted okay. My son ordered the chicken bites with honey dipping sauce off of the kids menu and nachos, he loved both! I wish I had remembered the guy who served us because he was nice and very professional. The reason for one less is because it's pricey. Each taco is almost 9 dollars and it very small, I'd say for a dinner you'd need atleast 3 to be filled. Overall it was a good experienceKid-friendliness: My kids loved the restaurant. They enjoyed sitting in the closed off booth and looking at the features and lights on the ceilingDietary restrictions: They take allergies very seriously here and made me feel comfortable about ordering with a tree nut allergy.

Darshan Patil: The chicken enchiladas were really well made. I will definitely come back to try other items on the menu. Burrito was okay, I think I will try the wet burrito next time. Cerise: El Sombrero is truly a hidden gem in Mississauga and one of the best Mexican food spots that I'll always recommend. I dined in this week and ordered the Enchilada meal. The portion size was massive and can easily be shared amongst two people.The food was delicious, and the service is something to rave about, too...In addition to dine-in this week, I also tried their catering service. I want to send a special thank you to management for delivering a platter of burritos and throwing in complimentary chips and salsa! Thank you, thank you!
