D & E Lake Ltd.: what do users think?

Junliang Lu: Great place

lee m: So much stuff here to look at

Jonah Zgraggen: The place to go in Toronto if you are, like me, unsatisfied with the state of most bookstores these days.

Koutayba Khodr: Captivating store teeming with novel books, coins, and banknotes. Despite its cozy confines, Donald's friendly demeanor and extensive expertise create an inviting atmosphere.

luke chien: There are a lot of books, but the bags need to be placed on the counter, which is inconvenient

Madhurja Bakshi: great selection of books and the owner seems very knowledgeable! any book on my current list was found here !! art, collectables and rare finds galore

JD: which you won’t find elsewhere. That, combined with his knowledge of the material and his wit, keep me coming back even if I always leave with more books than I intended on buying. His recommendations to me are always solid.

Leigh Erme: Love this shop! Fantastic selection and really knowledgeable proprietary.

Kerris Hougardy: I cannot speak more highly of this amazing small business!! I was looking to purchase an old, rare map as a gift, and they had exactly what I needed! In addition, the care and attention that Stephanie showed throughout the whole process was outstanding! Thank you!

The Monkey's Paw: what do users think?

djdelete: Really enjoyed the rare book vending machine. A must stop in Toronto for those who enjoy vintage and rare bookstores

Pradeep Battula: The vending machine was neat. Browsed around and there are interesting old books

Alex Caza: Super cool spot! There’s a varied and fun collection of books, ranging from arts & design to sexology and the occult. My partner and I walked away with a small handful of design, nature and photography books. You also can’t pass up the, hilariously aggressive dispensing, book vending machine.

Aj Whitener: So weird

Megan Atkinson: Such a cozy and cool feel. It smells amazing and classic inside. They even have a surprise book vending machine that you pay $5 for a token and you receive a unique and whimsical book. Very happy we stopped by on our trip.

Ian Cuthbertson: The best possible used bookstore… strange old unexpected books and of course, you can always try your luck with the vending machine. If old and unusual is your thing, this is the place.

Liso G Thomas: The place has a good collection of second-hand books.

Jennifer Beitzel: Very unique books! Definitely try the bibliomat, it’s super fun! Friendly staff too!

Nicole Ross: Absolutely loved this store. Found some really amazing books and the Biblo-mat is such a fun and cool idea. Will hopefully be back soon!

Bryan B Briens: . I also recommend the Biblio-tec machine which is so unique and fun! Thanks Clara and Monkeys Paw!

Mitch Sprague: Super cool old book shop with some very interesting items and a surprise book dispenser. Worth a visit.

David Mason Books: what do users think?

Alex Steitz: Fantastic bookstore!! The staff are so kind and happy to help. I found so much rich history. Plus, they've got an adorable and friendly shop cat named Henry!

Alan Hale: It's an absolute hidden jem of a book store It's a jaw-dropping experience to walk in the door for the first time.Old and rare books from floor to ceiling. Great staff, and it's got a cat! What more could you ask for?

henry EASTABROOK: There is no better place to be than David Mason Books. It's always a wonderful browse, and I never leave empty-handed. I am especially thankful to Norm for his excellent service, fine sense of humour, and in-depth knowledge. And, most of all, heartfelt thanks to David for his thoughtful tutelage over many, many years, and for taking time out of his day to speak and reminisce with me.

mastura aziz: I would give more stars then five because of the communication, welcoming overall how you can find very good books. I highly recommend this place. 🙏🏼

Mari Tomizawa: This antique book shop is legit. You get what you pay for here. The collection is extensive and they have many vintage art prints for sale as well. It almost feels like a museum. The shopkeeper was extremely nice and helpful. They have a friendly cat who minds the shop.

Mckenzie Talbot: Everyone here is so nice! I was able to find a child's book in my price range and it is Timeless. So glad I choice to visit here while I was in Canada 🍁

J: Very thorough collection.

Elle Would: I love everything about this place; the staff members are lovely, and the collection of books is awe-inspiring. I was looking for a gift for a mentor of mine, and the woman who helped me, Debbie, was incredible. She took the time to find out what I was looking for, provided terrific suggestions, and respected my modest budget. Visually the store is stunning; as soon as you step inside, you’re surrounded by gorgeously bound books from floor to ceiling, and if you are a fan of that “old book” smell, you’ll never want to leave! The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, and to top it all off, at the door, I was greeted by the most delightful little cat whose “meow” seemed to summon one of the associates to the front from somewhere deep in the stacks. It was magical. I left with the perfect gift in hand, and I’m excited to tell the recipient about this place as I’m sure he will want to visit.

Liddy Voisin: Owner was super nice and knowledgable, great collection of books! And adorable cat 🐱

Stephanie Harp: Lovely bookstore with a lovely feline manager! Will definitely be back whenever we're back in town.

Derek Ferchoff: Awesome time exploring this cool bookstore! Definitely check it out even if you’re not super into old books. I enjoyed browsing quite a bit.

Abby Brockhouse: I had the pleasure of bringing some guests to David Mason Books and everyone was blown away. The owners are kind and so incredibly knowledgeable. The books and ephemera are fantastic with something for everyone on the shelves. There are some really hard to find books here and they are all so beautiful. Always add on a few minutes to give Henry the cat some affection. If you don't find him, he will find you. I will be back again and again!

Nicki Douk: An icon in the antiquarian book business. One of the last great book sellers.
